BATTLE POLL: Doomsday vs. The Incredible Hulk

BATTLE POLL: Doomsday vs. The Incredible Hulk

DC vs. Marvel fights have been debated and approximated since the 1940's. Countless "who would win's", endless "Who would beat who's". But one that I do not see enough of: Doomsday vs. The Incredible Hulk!!

In 1993, Superman, arguably the most powerful character in fiction, met his match with the newly created character, Doomsday. An bio-engineered killing machine, Doomsday was killed countless times and forced-evolved to survive and adapt to every attack. Possessing such raw power, he fought the Man of Steel to a near standstill, but the fight ended with both combatents meeting their ends, only to return. After each death, Doomsday cannot be killed the same way twice. He also possesses strength levels on par, if not surpassing, Superman's. He is truly a force to be reckoned with.

In another Universe not too far away, a quiet scientist named Bruce Banner is accidentally exposed to levels of Gamma Radiation that would kill any normal human being, but somehow, Bruce Banner survived the experience, but not without consequence. When met with a high heart rate and furious anger, Bruce Banner transforms into the Incredible Hulk, a green power-house capable of leaping miles and crushing anyone that gets in his way. In fact, the popular Marvel character Thor was created by Jack Kirby in an attempt to finally present the Hulk with a physical challenge. When first transformed, the Hulk possesses extreme strength. However, the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.

Now, I pose to you the ultimate question: If these two characters were to meet and have an all out, fist to fist fight, who do you think would emerge the victor? The bone protruding killing machine Doomsday? Or the mean, green power house Hulk? Give your answers in the comment boards.

Tough one. I used to say the Hulk would beat any character in a battle of brute force but I no longer agree with that. Hulk gets infinitely stronger the madder he gets, the more punishment he takes the more he will give. That would normally mean lights out for any apponent. But, and it's a big but, Bruce Banner is still a part of the Hulks consciousness and this reigns the big guy in. If a foe is able to take the punishment the Hulk will eventually tire (see Hulk vs Thor feature) so in this case it depends on how much can Doomsday take?

Doomsday. Doomsday almost killed Superman, the most powerful character in the history of comics. Hulk would have no chance.

@ supermanfan

you're obviously a huge Superman fan, but i'm sorry to break it to you. Superman is nowhere near the most powerful character in the history of comics. Not even close.

Not surprised in the least that the Hulk is getting more votes, he always does when a poll between these two comes along on the Internet. Still doesn't erase the fact that Doomsday wins the majority of the time. Before the writers started mismanaging the character and made him a jobber, he could NEVER be defeated by the same means twice. That's part of his evolutionary powers.

Doomsday wins all the way.

@ Knight

Doomsday was mismanaged from the get go. He's one of the dumbest characters ever created.

cordog@ yeah doomsday retardation is his only weakness, and it sure is a big wekness. hess basicly the wario of american comicbooks lots of brawn no brain!!! a better fight for doomsday would be against abomination, red hulk, apocolypse, mangog, the demegorge, sublime, the sentry, or even ultron.
by the way has hulk ever gone up against ultron? or is evryone who has ever faced him or will face him be doomed to fight a long hard bloody battle with him without having a sudden hulk smash save them?
