MAX PAYNE – Season 1 – 16 Episode Series Based on the Best-Selling Video Game. It’s 2001, NYPD Detective Max Payne is investigating the 3-year-old case of the death of his wife and daughter, connected to a dangerous new drug known as Valkyr V. Working undercover with the DEA, Max will get tangled into a Mob War and Conspiracy Theories and Corporate Espionage.

Developer: the show's creator, is in charge of running the show. They pick the crew and help cast the actors, approve and sometimes write series plots (some even write or direct major episodes). Various other producers help to ensure that the show runs smoothly.

Kurt Sutter [Notable Works {As a Writer & Producer}: The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Bastard Executioner]: Kurt is a hell of a writer and has a unique vision for his projects. His work on another FX original series, the Shield, shows that he would be the perfect creator to work on Max Payne.

Series Score: A film score (also sometimes called film music, background music, or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question.

Jeff Russo [Notable Works: Fargo, Lucifer, Legion]: While he would be largely adapting the theme of the game as an opening credits segment, Jeff has shown wonderful talent composing character based scores. His work is fantastic and memorable, it would be great to see him do a more Noir styled story and see how his style adapts to it.

Max Payne [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 30’s]: American police detective who goes on a violent, rogue, nearly unstoppable, tenacious, and relentless killing spree against felons, spanning a number of nights, all the while looking for truth to mysteries he finds in his life but mercilessly bringing death to all those who ever caused him pain.

Dominic Cooper [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 38, Notable Works: Preacher, Agent Carter, Warcraft]: Dominic a hell of an actor. He has given many great performances, and after seeing his work in Preacher, I can say with up most confidence he would be the perfect Max Payne for a theatrical or televised Reboot. He has the gravity to play such a character.

Michelle Payne [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 30’s]: (May 12, 1964 - August 22, 1998) was the wife of the New York City Police Department detective Max Payne, and the mother of Rose Payne.

Lucy Griffiths [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: 30, Notable Works: Preacher, Robin Hood, True Blood]: Lucy is a wonderful actress and has become one of my favorites the more and more I see her. She’s given strong performances and is very alluring and that is a key factor in the role Michelle pays especially in Max’s dream sequences.

Mona Sax [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 30’s]: Mona Sax is the twin sister of Lisa Punchinello and sister-in-law of Angelo Punchinello. She strongly dislikes her sister's Mafia boss husband. Almost nothing is known about Mona's early life and combat training. The only clue to her past is a picture of Mona with her twin sister at Mona's hideout.

Olga Fonda [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 34, Notable Works: Vampire Diaries, Real Steel, Little Fockers]: Olga is a fantastic actress who is certainly finding her voice. She has the gravity to do some darker series and I think giving her a role like Mona might really give her the opportunity to do something new and exciting.

Alex Balder [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 30’s]: Alex Balder was Max Payne's partner at the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and later the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Elden Henson [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 39, Notable Works: The Hunger Games {Franchise}, Daredevil, The Defenders {Forthcoming}]: Elden really was the only actor I could think of for the role. He had the look and the approach that I have attributed to Alex as a character. He certainly would be a fantastic actor for the series.

Jim Bravura [Height: 5’ 8”, Age: 50’s-60’s]: The Deputy Chief of the NYPD and, later, a Homicide unit lieutenant. A dedicated policeman, he has the strict belief that any cop should act within the law, often very much in contrast to the outlook of Max Payne.

Joe Pantoliano [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 65, Notable Works: The Sopranos, The Fugitive, Daredevil]: There is no other actor I could imagine for this role. For the type of character Bravura is and how he approaches Payne as a character Joe Pantoliano is the only actor I could really imagine for the role.

B.B. [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 30’s]: B.B. is the nickname of a Drug Enforcement Administration agent. B.B. is Max Payne's contact in the Drug Enforcement Administration during the detective's undercover infiltration of the Punchinello crime family.

Jesse Plemons [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: 28, Notable Works: Breaking Bad, Fargo, Other People]: Jesse is a great actor, he’s got a wonderful streak of performances. I think letting him play someone a little more sinister than what he’s usually portraying lets him do a bit more. This is a character with more rough sinister edges then in Breaking Bad and without the simple-minded innocence as his character in Fargo.

Nicole Horne [Height: 5’ 9”, Age: Late 40’s]: Nicole Horne (1952 - 2001) was the CEO of Aesir Corporation from at least the early 1990's up until 2001. A ruthless and amoral businesswoman, Horne was responsible for the killing of Max Payne's wife and daughter and the production of designer drug Valkyr.

Joan Allen [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 60, Notable Works: The Bourne Franchise, Death Race, The Killing]: She’s perfect for this role. She has done wonderful and I imagine she is the popular pick for the role. She has the presence, the voice, and the look to really play the character perfectly.

Alfred Woden [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 60’s-70’s]: Alfred Woden is a US senator, and one of the most influential members of the secret society known as the Inner Circle.

Powers Boothe [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 68, Notable Works: Sin City, The Avengers, Deadwood]: Powers is a legendary actor, he’s played some of the most sinister cinematic characters. There’s no doubt he’d be perfect for Woden.

Vladmir Lem [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 40’s]: Vladimir "Vlad" Lem is a Russian mobster, arms-dealer, and the leader of the Russian Mob in New York City. He is engaged in a violent war with the Punchinello crime family. Fighting the mobsters, Vlad makes an alliance with Max Payne but, a few years later, he gets power hungry and ultimately becomes Max's enemy.

Sharlto Copely [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 43, Notable Works: A-Team, District 9, Powers]: Sharlto is an amazing actor. He’s done some fantastic character based films and has always brought his A-Game. With a character like Vladmir, not only does Sharlto resemble him, but he is the only actor who I can visualize as the character.

Jack Lupino [Height: 5’ 10”, Age: 30’s]: A high-ranking member and schizophrenic underboss of the New York City based Punchinello crime family. His right-hand man was Vinnie Gognitti.

Miguel Gomez [Height: N/A, Age: 31, Notable Works: Southpaw, The Strain, The Domino Effect]: Miguel is making waves in the Strain. He shown some really terrific work in Southpaw and seeing him play such horrible person as well as physically unfit would really let him do something unique compares to what he has done as an actor.

Vincent Gognitti [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 30’s]: A major member of the New York City-based Punchinello crime family, acting as a capo in 2001, and an underboss in 2003.

Kieran Culkin [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: 34, Notable Works: Fargo, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Lymelife]: Another Fargo veteran. He’s really shown some stride and some new work in Fargo has shown he’s not entirely comedic. His more or less pathetic character is great and a bit dark to be entirely comedic and could be something to elaborate on as an actor.

Angelo Punchinello [Height” 5’ 9”, Age: 40’s]: Angelo Punchinello is an Italian-American mobster, the head of New York City's Punchinello crime family, and the godfather of New York's crime underworld at least from the late 1980s to early 1990s until 2001.

Vincent Kartheiser [Height: 5’ 11”, Age: 37, Notable Works: Mad Men, Angel, In Time]: Vincent is great at playing total bastards. He does wonderful when playing these weasel-like characters and could certainly show some darker edges with such a despicable character.

Rico Muerte [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 30’s-40’s]: Rico Muerte is a gangster working for the Punchinello crime family. Muerte is hired by Nicole Horne to assassinate the mayor of New York City.

Ethan Suplee [Height: 6’ 1”, Age: 40, Notable Works: My Name is Earl, American History X, Deepwater Horizon]: Ethan is a stronger actor then he’s given credit for. He’s done darker performances before and It’s something he should return to. While this role isn’t lengthy it would allow him to take on a darker performance like this.

Candy Dawn [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 20’s]: Candy is a hooker with a various number of clients in the Punchinello crime family. She has her own apartment in the same hotel that Rico Muerte and the Finito brothers stay in. She has tapes of some of her clients in her room and a diary where she likes to record events in.

Rachel Keller [Height: 5’ 5”, Age: 24, Notable Works: Supernatural, Fargo, Legion]: I was massively impressed in her work in Fargo and couldn’t help adding her in a role. I felt her work was great and wanted her in the cast and felt Candy was a perfect role for her.

Boris Dime [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 40’s]: Russian mobster and arms dealer who was once a member of the Russian Mob, and an associate of Vladimir Lem. At some time prior to 2001, Dime betrayed Lem and joined forces with the Italian Don, Angelo Punchinello.

Kevin Durand [Height: 6’ 6”, Age: 42, Notable Works: Real Steel, The Strain, Walking Tall]: Kevin is a fantastic actor. He’s done some fantastic work as an actor and does his best playing intimidating figures. This is a role that might be small but adds credence to his filmography.

Frankie Niagra [Height: 6’ 0”, Age: 40’s]: Angelo Punchinello is an Italian-American mobster, the head of New York City's Punchinello crime family, and the godfather of New York's crime underworld at least from the late 1980s to early 1990s until 2001.

Wil Traval [Height: 6’ 2”, Age: 36, Notable Works: Arrow, Jessica Jones, Red Widow]: Wil is an actor who really shined in Jessica Jones. He’s shown some unique talents as an actor and could really shine in a part like this, making it something more interesting than it was in the game.

Kyra Silver [Height: 5’ 6”, Age: 30’s]: Kyra Silver is a radio and television news reporter, working for New York News Network (NYNN).

Kirsten Dunst [Height: 5’ 7”, Age: 34, Notable Works: Fargo, Spider-Man, The Virgin Suicides]: I enjoyed her in Fargo. I think she’s done wonderful job in her later career and the best thing to ever happen was her not being in Spider-Man anymore. I think this would be a role that could let her have some fun as well as show some dramatic prowess.

Guess I'm the first one here. Hope the others come around soon.

- Suitable choices for Max and Michelle Payne.
- Glad you're giving Olga Fonda some love!
- Typecasting alert for Alex Balder. But I wouldn't know who to cast otherwise.
- Funny you cast Joan Allen for a Max Payne series. The movie came out the same year as Death Race, a film where Joan played a similar character.
- Sharlto could really do a role like the one you gave him after The A-Team and Hardcore Henry.
- Lupino looks like a fatter and balder character than Miguel Gomez. But I can't name anyone off the top of my head who'd be better.
- I'll be catching up with Fargo eventually to see what Culkin and Keller have to offer.
- Wil Traval has circulated across my mind as someone who could possibly play Guile in my Street Fighter fancast, since we're talking about him being in something based on a video game. But I'm sure he'd be good as Frankie Niagara.
- I'm getting vibes of seeing Ashley Benson in a role like Kyra Silver (considering the character may be like Vicki Vale). Matter of fact, your ass needs to search for a role for Ms. Benson, seeing as you could do some wonders in that department. Still, I could care less if Dunst gets this role

A world Class fancast of yours, and I enjoyed reading it as always. Have to completely agree with everyone you picked.

Shame that these don't get enough readership.

To be honest, I've never played the game.

But either way, I thought this was a great cast. Each choice I think works for what you want to achieve with the series.

Overall, great job and keep up the great work
