Greetings fans! Captain America: The Winter Soldier is nearing opening in the U.S and as people know, he is my favorite non reserved Avenger and I think he has the best solo movie thus far with, Captain America: The First Avenger. The Winter Soldier is my most anticipated solo film and with the inevitable Captain America 3 coming within the next couple years, I figured I would take an early stab as who I would put as the villains.
Returning from Captain America: The Winter Soldier is...
Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones
Why? Well, The Winter Soldier is the introductory film for the character and assuming that he survives the fight, Cap 3 is where we will find Rumlow becoming the Crossbones we know and love with the iconic costume. He would play a bigger part as well.
Emily Blunt as Madame Hyrda
Weird casting right? Well, I believe that Emily Blunt is a great actress and I think there is some untapped potential. I think if given the role of Madame Hyrda in Captain America 3, she would give the character justice. In my imagination, Madame Hyrda would be the main villain of Cap 3 and would be the modern day leader of Hyrda. To rebuild Hyrda from the aftermath of, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and to finish out what the, Red Skull had started
Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo
Daniel Bruhl was fantastic in Rush. While coincidentally would be part of the same cinematic universe as his Rush co-star, Chris Hemsworth. Bruhl I think would make for an interesting and brilliant, Baron Zemo. Zemo is part of Hyrda because Hyrda offers the chance at seeking revenge at, Cap for the death of the original (his father), Baron Zemo.
Jena Malone as Sin
The fall of both Hyrda and Shield, Sin would be similar to her comic book counter part, Crossbones breaks in into the reeducation facility and makes Erica the woman she once was, Sin. Sin would develop a relationship with Crossbones and the two of them would be the initial threat that Cap and Falcon (as I would have Black Widow be killed in Age of Ultron, for emotional impact for Cap and to make room for the Avengers to add new members) would have to face.
Too many villains? Possibly but, as stated, Crossbones and Sin would be the initial threat and as with "The Winter Soldier" it would be essentially a war film. Sharon Carter would have a larger role and Bucky/The Winter Soldier would become the unlikely ally.
