Arnim Zola vs Lex Luthor -- I honestly have no idea. They're both geniuses, but I'll go with Zola for now based on the fact that this being a first encounter, Zola's robot body would give him the edge over Luthor, because it's not like Lex carries around his battlesuit in his back pocket.

Falcon vs Steel -- Steel. There's not much Falc' can do to hurt him, so his only option would be to try and stay out of his reach.

Cap vs Darkseid -- no comment. Can't risk upsetting the butt-hurt Bat-fans who think I give Cap too much credit. They're complete tools but, sadly, they're also a large demographic.

Ha! Just kidding. Previous knowledge/prep time = Cap, all day, every day. Screw you whiners.

Batman vs Crow -- Batman. In a first encounter Crow would wreck him, but this being a rematch, prep and previous knowledge give Bats the edge.

See? I'm not anti-Batman. :)

lol, loudlon i lose respect for you when you vote stupid like this, you are one of the biggest hypocrites I've ever seen dude, man up and realize that cap loses this fight BADLY
gravedigger9906
gravedigger9906 - 4/6/2014, 10:49 AM
no no, he doesn't see how hes hypocritical. in fact he just ignores the arguments we give and keeps talking about how perfect cap is. if I recall correctly loudlon, in the past you would gripe about fans and batman prep time arguments but now use the same arguments for cap. that's kinda the definition of hypocrite. just to help you "understand".
gravedigger9906

Captain America has no superhuman powers, but through the Super-Soldier Serum and "Vita-Ray" treatment, he is transformed and his strength, endurance, agility, speed, reflexes, durability, and healing are at the zenith of natural human potential. --

Peak Human Conditioning: Through intense training, specialized diet, and biofeedback treatments, The Batman represented the pinnacle of human physical prowess. His physical attributes exceeded that of any Olympic level athlete that has ever competed. His strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and coordination are at the peak of human potential

--- sounds pretty much the same to me. no distinction about height and weight. just human perfection.

Rogers' battle experience and training make him an expert tactician and an excellent field commander, with his teammates frequently deferring to his orders in battle. Thor has stated that Rogers is one of the very few humans he will take orders from and follow "through the gates of Hades".

Genius Intellect: (Batman's IQ is possibly well over 200) Batman is a brilliant, virtually peerless, detective, strategist, scientist, tactician, and commander; he is widely regarded as one of the keenest analytical minds on the planet. Given his lack of superpowers, he often uses cunning and planning to outwit his foes, rather than simply "out-fighting" them.

--- again nothing about thinking up 10 different strategies in a second.

Rogers' reflexes and senses are extraordinarily keen. He has blended judo, western boxing, kickboxing, and gymnastics into his own unique fighting style and is a master of multiple martial arts.

Master Martial Artist: Batman is one of the finest human combatants Earth has ever known. He trained in the US for various martial arts for 10 years. He has mastered 127 styles of martial arts including Muay Thai, Escrima, Krav Maga, Capoeira, Savate, Yawyan, Taekwondo, Judo, Jujitsu, Ninjitsu, Kendo, Fencing, Kenjutsu, Kali, Bojutsu, Francombat, Boxing, Kickboxing, Hapkido, Wing Chun, Parkour, Shorin Ryu, Silat, Chin Na, Hokuto Shinken, Kyudo, Aikido, Varma Ati, Jeet Kune Do, Shaolin, Ba Gua, Hung Gar, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Kenpo, and Karate. His primary form of combat is an idiosyncratic admixture of Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, Boxing, Jujitsu, and Ninjitsu.

wow I think batman took that one. oh yeah according to loudlon that's just unbelievable "even in comic book land".

The formula enhances all of caps metabolic functions and prevents the build-up of fatigue poisons in his muscles, giving him endurance far in excess of an ordinary human being. This accounts for many of his extraordinary feats, including bench pressing 1200 pounds.

Peak Human Strength: He can break steel chains and cuffs, support a ceiling that weighed over 1000lbs, bent steel metal bars with his hands. Batman even punched a SWAT officer through a brick wall. He utilizes his strength/power so effectively, that a near-meta such as Deathstroke comments that Batman "hits harder than most beings with superhuman strength." During his exercise regimes, Batman regularly bench-presses at least 1000Ibs.

hmmm regularly benches 1000, but caps 1200 is an extraordinary feat.

heres my point; these are quotes from stat sights on both characters. not loudlons twist of words to make his fav seem better and blame batman fans for his inability to accept the fact that batman is as good if not better than cap. as a matter of fact that's pretty much where cap ends. but here are a few more batman stats to add to his list.

◾Polymath: He has studied Biology, Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Mythology, Geography, & History. Gained degrees in Criminal Science, Forensics, Computer Science, Chemistry and Engineering by the time he was 21. He has mastered Diverse Environmental Training, Security Systems, and illusion/sleight of hand by the time he was 23. He gained even more degrees in Biology, Physics, Advanced Chemistry, and Technology by the time he was 25. He has learned Forensic, Medical Sciences, Expanded Computer and Engineering Sciences, and Expanded Device Pool use of personal powered armor and system, database creation on underworld crime bosses, rogue's gallery foes and other supers; improved material sciences for body armor and micro-machinery by the time he was 26. Has also learned Advanced New Development in Forensic and Medical Sciences.
◾Master Detective: He is widely considered as the World's Greatest Detective, capable of observation, forensic investigation, and inductive and deductive reasoning of the highest caliber. Human intuition is an unlearnable trait and one of Batman's most effective tools. Given any mystery, he can arrive at any conclusions with a fraction of the data.
◾Multi-Lingual: He is able to speak Spanish, French, Latin, German, Japanese, English, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin, and possibly more.
◾Master Strategist: He commonly utilizes cunning tactics to outwit his foes. He is an excellent leader and at times commands the Justice League and the Outsiders.
◾Escapologist: He has been described as second only to Mister Miracle as an escape artist. He has been seen escaping from a posey straitjacket in less than 52 seconds, and remarked afterwards that the time was way too slow for him.
◾Crack Pilot: Has been seen flying the various versions of the Batplanes with ease and flying a helicopter.
◾Expert Tracker: Trained in hunting techniques by African Bushmen (the Ghost Tribes of the Ten-eyed Brotherhood, among others).
◾Master of Disguise: Has mastered the art of disguise by the time he was 23. Has further learned Expanded Disguise techniques by the time he was 26. Batman has many aliases he uses to infiltrate the underworld or just to go undercover in public situations. His current aliases are: Matches Malone, Thomas Quigley, Ragman, Detective Hawke, Sir Hemingford Grey,Lester Krutz, Frank Dixon, Gordon Selkirk, and Mr. Fledermaus.
◾Expert Mechanic and Driver: Batman is proficient at combat driving. He has also pioneered improved vehicle designs. In addition, he has been trained and is proficient in basic vehicular operations.

so now whos the tool? like who you want but stop dissing other ppl. I like cap too, but if he was that great maybe he would be the one with insane fans instead of batman.

oh and since I am being a jag right now let me add. batman has come up antidotes to numerous chemicals including man bats formula, joker gas and fear gas. with prep its only a matter of time before he comes up with an antidote to the s.s. formula. when he does its over for cap. what can cap do un train batman. give me a break cap loses plain and simple. now get off caps balls and wake up.

and this is what I've been saying all along, Batman and Cap are virtually identical physically, the SS serum gives Cap a slight edge in strength a decent edge in absolute speed and endurance but thats it. Cap has tactics but so does Bruce, cap can analyze an opponents weakness in battle and capitalize, so can Batman; u know, Worlds Greatest Detective and all but I would give wins to Batman over Cap any day for the simple fact that Cap shortcutted his way to perfection of mind and body where as Bruce Wayne has been perfecting his mind and body since he was 11. You ever hear practice makes perfect? Thats Batman in a nutshell, compared to Cap who received what Batman has through a drug, he didn't work to achieve it so Batman will always be more knowledgeable in a straight up fight than Cap because he worked everyday to become the best.

ALL DC this round cept Bats, CROW would beat his ass :p

Great stuff!
LoudLon
LoudLon - 4/6/2014, 1:40 PM
Of course Cap would lose to Darkseid. All the planning in the world on Cap's end won't overcome D's omega beams and the myriad effects he can induce with them.

I knew you deluded Bat-fans would leap to Bats' defense and go out of your way to list all the implausible things he's accomplished that are above and beyond his means to achieve. Say what you will about Cap, but his power set's been basically consistent from day one. But Bats went from a simple vigilante with a gun to the world's greatest...well...EVERYTHING. Why? To appease the DBFs. I am indeed a Batman fan. But unlike you lot, I don't just swallow down whatever PIS/canon-contradicting silliness every writer dumps on the character. ICONIC BATMAN: expert martial artist, skilled detective, master of disguise. NOT ICONIC BATMAN: can beat anyone with prep (up to and including Superman) and knows everything about everything.

So, here I sit, a big, shit-eatin' grin on my face, because while it may have been a cheap tactic, I voted the way I did to prove my point -- that every last one of you DBFs is every bit as delusional about your favorite character as you accused me of being about mine. Basically -- you got played.

Carry on.

PS -- gravedigger, I've been away from Fight Club for a while and hesitate to say I don't remember you from before. I'm not even sure we've shared a conversation. So for you to kiss relentless's ass and follow his lead makes you a pogue in my book.

I do remember relentless. Quite well. And for him to call ME a hypocrite...it doesn't get any more "pot calling the kettle black" than that.
gravedigger9906
gravedigger9906 - 4/6/2014, 4:55 PM
loudlon weve had conversations in the past, the problem is you don't see past your own point of view. you said all the same played out excuses you use now. even in the face of factual info. I provided from the internet you blindly stick to your guns. now you throw out your inconsistent argument because you have nothing to out do what I just threw in your face. all these comics companies can do what they want with their characters, so that makes it fact. besides marvel has stolen half their characters from dc anyway. why don't you look up the similar characters and their creation dates while your desperately lookin up the info I provided with tears in your eyes, attemptin to disprove me, cuz cap aint as great as you think.

oh, and I am not sucking up to relentless. I was just glad to see someone stand up to your bias opinions. you think your the alpha and omega of comic fans.

as far as you remembering me, are you that egotistical to think it matters if you remember me or not? maybe you should think about re writing your "book" cuz im the guy that just proved to everyone that reads this that your boy is beaten. your lame little tactic proved nothing but you keep trying to twist the truth. I gave you actual stat quotes. your the one that is delusional my friend. you will never out think me,so remember the name boy cuz gravedigger just buried your captain America wet dream.

can I please add I do like cap. I like all of the good characters. I just don't like know it alls. loudlon, I can tell you know your stuff and I have agreed with a lot of your assessments but when it comes to cap, usually tied to batman, you are biased and a hater. I just cant believe with the quotes I provided you still harp about caps superiority. its just not true.
gravedigger9906
gravedigger9906 - 4/6/2014, 5:32 PM
@virileman good point about the amnesia. I still think batman could come up with something to counter act the serum, but that's the fun of it, trying to imagine what could happen. it seems loudlon just wants to suck the fun out of this. that's why I posted the extra long list of facts. to prove they are about equal and disprove his disinformation.
relentless1
relentless1 - 4/6/2014, 7:56 PM
i will agree that Spidey would beat Bats and Cap...damn Spidey sense ;)
GuardianDevil
GuardianDevil - 4/6/2014, 10:42 PM
I remember LoudLon from way back when. The guy knows his stuff, his logic is pretty much always sound until it comes to one of two characters.

Batman
Captain America

I remember him severely overrating Cap whilst understating Bats. But hey that's his own opinion...what can we say y'know??

Anyhow, Luthor destroys Zola. Steel and Darkseid stomp while Batman barely beats Crow.

For the record, no offense towards LoudLon in my comment was intended.
LoudLon
LoudLon - 4/7/2014, 12:11 PM
No offense taken, Guardian. :)

gravedigger -- you think my saying I don't remember you was me serving my own ego? I said I hesitated to say I don't remember you, because if we had a previous conversation, it didn't immediately spring to mind. Maybe that hurt your ego, I don't know, but my ego had no part in that comment.

Now, I can see that you're pissed off because I played you. But, I couldn't care less how pissed off you are. You guys lambasted me, so I flipped it and proved to other CBMFC participants that you're every inch the biased fanboy you accused me of being. As far as I'm concerned, we're even. Accept it and move on. Or don't. I assure you I won't lose a wink of sleep either way.
Lhornbk
Lhornbk - 4/7/2014, 7:56 PM
Lex Luthor-all he has to do is unplug Zola, lol.

Steel would probably win, but I voted for Falcon just because I can't bring myself to vote for a character played by Shaq.

Capt. America-again, until these ridiculous matchups stop, I'm giving Cap the "he's my favorite vote" everytime.

Batman

Oh, and as to Cap vs. Batman, anyone who thinks Batman would win is either not thinking clearly, or just a ridiculous fanboy. Cap would totally kick his butt. Watch TWS, Cap can just be brutal, far more so than Batman. He would kick Batman into a cement wall 20-30 feet up, and either the impact against the wall or the fall would seriously injure Batman, maybe even break his back, especially if Batman was just wearing his comic suit that has no armor, as most fanboys keep whining for. Batman isn't even remotely close to being as strong as Cap, and saying otherwise is just stupid. All the training in the world won't equal what the serum gave Cap, especially since Cap does train too, to keep himself in top form. And none of his gadgets would help. The batarangs would just bounce off the shield. In fact, Cap could probably just throw the shield into Batman's gut or head once and knock him out or knock his breath out of him, then pummel him before he could recover.
relentless1
relentless1 - 4/7/2014, 8:35 PM
^ lol, read the stats between Batman and Cap and try and tell me again that they aren't very close in stats, unless YOU are a cap fanboy you'll realize that they are virtually identical in abilities
