Sometimes something or someone comes along and changes everything, and with all the talk around Oscar award winning director Brian Helgeland and his new movie '42' about the life and trials of the late great Jackie Robinson which stars acclaimed actor Harrison Ford , but it's his lead man Chadwick Boseman who's considered a new talent by many who is going to set Hollywood ablaze. '42' is scheduled to be released in theaters April 12, 2013 Boseman will have new found fame. And we all know that with fame comes opportunity. Maybe not just for him but for Marvel as well. I know this may be premature especially since the comic book movie franchise has been quiet about their plans for one of it's more popular characters The Black Panther. For over almost a year now online in articles and message boards I heard Boseman mentioned for the role of The Black Panther. I don't know if Marvel heard that or not, but I must admit that I wasn't familiar with Boseman's work up until now, but when I saw the trailer for '42' I swear out of nowhere I said " there goes Marvel's Black Panther!" I didn't even know that was the same guy that a few people had mentioned online for Black Panther already, I just saw it, but if he hits a homerun in '42' then the idea of him playing the Black Panther will surely make sense(and if it makes dollars it makes cents) Marvel isn't stupid you don't have the type of success they do by being dumb. People have been asking for a Black Panther movie for years now! Trust me The Panther is coming someway somehow in the Marvel film world soon. From talks of vibranium in Iron Man 3 we will be seeing the Panther soon. Kevin Feige said last week when talking about how Marvel films works, Feige expressed his love for new fresh talent (good talent I'm sure). At first I wrestled with the idea should The Black Panther be a big name or fresh talent, I even wrote an article about Will Smith taking on the role but now I see I was wrong, or maybe there is no right or wrong answer. Doing a movie on The Black Panther is the only right answer. The 31 year old Boseman has the depth and the ability to play any role that he chooses to. After '42' just like Robinson I hope Marvel and Kevin Feige gives Boseman and The Black Panther the opportunity to play on their team. After all the similarities between Jackie Robinson and The Black Panther are they both were the first black superheros in their field and it would be cool if Chadwick Boseman played them both.

Here is the trailer for the movie '42' check it out!!

Great pick for Black Panther. 42 looks fantastic. I haven't seen that man act before in anything else but, in the 5 or so minutes I've seen from both the trailers for the movie, his voice sure did send shivers down my spine. Can't wait for 42, I'm expecting it to be the movie of the year (at least the best sports movie of 2013). Harrison Ford looks fantastic in it too, I sure hope that man wins an Oscar soon.

Wouldn't be bad as Black Panther. Maybe Falcon if Anthony Mackie wasn't playing him

Could definately see that. Seems to have the right look and acting chops.

I really hope Black Panther is the next movie announced for phase 3. Marvel might as well continue their introductions of new characters after The Avengers 2. Ant-man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther... What could possibly be a better start to phase 3?

Interesting :) I hope you're right bro

What did u think of my idea for a BP solo film? It could still work as a spin-off of Avengers 2...

Personally I would never cast Will Smith as T'Challa but having seen 42 tho I'm all for Chadwick or Aldis for the role!
