Could Robin be in TDKR after all?

Could Robin be in TDKR after all?

If Joseph Gordon Levitt AKA John Blake appears in the film what will his role be ?

Despite being a cop who is secretly helping Batman take down Bane, what else will he be doing? While Nolan has tried to keep as little of Joseph's character buzzing, i in all the photos i have seen i have not seen John Blake doing much the most i saw him do was he was yelling out to someone thats it. So which leads me to thinking either John Blake will die or He will become Robin. While Chris Nolan is saying TDKR is set 8 years after The Dark Knight does that mean Batman may be old enough for a side kick. Nolan said when The Dark Knight came out that his stories were about a young Batman 8 years down the track is this the time we will see Robin or maybe even Night wing?.

Sound off in the comments below.

STARRING:

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake
Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate/Talia Al Ghul
Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul

@demonhunter when he said that he had no intention of, at the time, batman 3, being set 8 years after the dark knight, remember when it looked like he wouldn't even return, because he had the story already worked out and the joker was an intricate part, so he had to re write the whole thing, do you also remember when David S Goyer said, they wouldn't be using a villain from live action in Batman 3 (now TDKR), do you also remember the foreshadowing for robin in the dark knight, or what about the robin's hideout thing, or the 2 times we heard Levitt was robin, one from a very reliable source... people say things one day, then something happens, Like heath ledger's death, happen another day, and everything changes, I'm not saying robin will be in the movie, I'm just saying, don't dismiss anything due to one quote, or somebody's definition of "realistic" or "dark"

This is nonsensical. " in all the photos i have seen i have not seen John Blake doing much the most i saw him do was he was yelling out to someone thats it. So which leads me to thinking either John Blake will die or He will become Robin." Those are some pretty low standards for making someone Robin.

Dude, what is it about Robin? Why can't people just give it a rest? Why is he so important anyway? Even in the comics, Batman has worked solo many times, hasn't he? And the "John Blake as Azrael (or robin)" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. He's beat cop. A BEAT COP. That means his detective/ fighting skills are nowhere in the same league as Batman's. Yeah, go ahead and fire away with all the elaborate theories about how Blake was once with the league of shadows or he's undercover CIA blah blah blah. The script says he is A BEAT COP. That means that he is A BEAT COP.

My guess is that Jim Gordon is put out of commission early in the film, and John Blake takes over his role and Batman's police confidant.

Um, you sure need to stop posting this kind of stuffs. And anyway, I think no user is supposed to post as much amount of this so-called 'Fan Fic' article as you've done. (Especially...when none of the articles is good.)

And really? This deserves an article all over again? after what a lot of people have speculated in comments, articles, or some GOOD editorials? Come on.

Within a day, I mean. But still.

i still think the 8 year gap leaves a perfect set up for Nightwing if Nolan were ever of a mind to use a secondary hero/helper to Batman, and the gap can completely skip over the somewhat homo-erotic undertones of Bruce Wayne and a young boy wonder doing dirty things is a cave.

by setting it 8 years in the future it can be said that in that time, a young boy was orphaned after his parents were horrificly murdered. Bruce Wayne took him in and taught him how to channel his anger into helping people and turned him into a new vigilante/crime fighter. and instead of starting him as Robin, he starts as Nightwing.
