I am a graphic movie poster designer and my passion is to design posters. i also love comics and comic films, so I decided to combine both my passion for posters and my love of comics as one. I had no plans for them, it was just a fun little project i did on the side. Until I posted them on face book and got a ton of likes and comments from friends family and fans. The posters took off as you can say.

after dozens and dozens of emails and messages asking where prints of the poster could be purchased, not only from fan but industry professionals i reached out to multiple print shops and website and found that the cost to get them professionally printed was way, way out of the range of what I could afford. So I looked up Kickstarter for help.

what i'm trying to do is get 4 of the most popular and requested poster designs silk screen printed. the hail hydra, avengers and the dark knight rises and cowboy bebop designs.

they will all be screen printed at 18x24. the amount i'm asking for covers set up fee and printing cost for 100 copies of each poster designs 400 posters in all.

In addition to that, it will also cover the cost of mailing. I plan to do all the packing and mailing myself.

i am also using kickstarter as a way for anyone who'd like a poster to pre-order them. They'll only be $25 dollars a piece via Kickstarter, but if there are any left, depending on demand, I may need to up the price a bit. So act fast!

hey, if you have no budget use print-on-demand websites like society6.com .... Just upload your art and when you sell a product, society6 will produce it, package it and ship it for you, so that you can focus on making more art!

Nice, but this is copyright infringement and Marvel and DC will not hesitate to come after you, if you turn this into a business.

As Luminus said, this is definitely copyright infringement. Great artwork though.
That being said, i think there may be a legal loophole if you re-word your Kickstarter a bit.
If you accept a "$25 donation" you can send out a "free" poster to that person.
Don't quote me on that though, double check online

@WhoIsAdamWe: Still risky. They tried that with the Batman Beyond movie a few years ago. They claimed the movie was free and that you were paying for the production videos, but legal issues came up.

This is an article about that film:

You'll notice that you can't find the DVD legally for sale anywhere.

@Salcarmelo

What? No love for Spidey? Put one of those up and you've got yourself a "donation"

The others are right though, the mouse house and 'ol Marvel might come down on you like a sack of bricks.

Salcarmelo, it's copyright infringement just doing the art itself. Technically, Warner Bros. could send you a cease and desist letter right now, if they wanted to, without you ever making a dime.

But, hey, if you want to risk it go right on ahead. People illegally download stuff all the time. Most don't get punished, but they can.

So...you're making profit from shit you don't even have the rights to...the posters look awesome but that doesn't give you the right to make money out of them, especially when you shamelessly use household names like MARVEL or Paramount.
