EXT: STARK’S MALLIBU MANSION-NIGHT
A helicopter slowly approaches the mansion’s roof top landing pad. Atop the pad CORNEL JAMES RHODES, shielding his eyes from the helo’s lights, awaits. The chopper makes a soft landing. Rhodes opens the cargo door.
Rhodes: “Been a long time.”
Wayne: “It has.”
Wayne along with the rest of the team exits the chopper. Rhodes leads them toward an exit door.
Rhodes:” Tony hasn’t stopped working since you two last spoke. I’ll have to give it to him he has really outdone himself this time.”
Wayne: “Unfortunately we’ve picked a fight with someone who’s done the same.”
Rhodes opens the door leading to a stairwell. The team proceeds down the stairs. Pulling up the rear Cage stops to greet Rhodes taking notice of his Air Force attire.
Cage: “Looking good Rhodes. When you gonna let me borrow that War Machine of yours?”
Rhodes: “Whenever I believe you’d actually bring it back.”
The two laugh and Rhodes closes the door behind them.
INT: STARK’S LAB
Guns and Roses “Paradise City” echoes through the lab’s speakers. Stark is found painting flames on his black 1970 Camero. Rhodes escorts the team into the lab which Stark is oblivious to. Rhodes is somewhat embarrassed due to his recent comments of Tony’s hard work. Rhodes manipulates the computer shutting off the music.
Stark: “Hey!”
Stark lifts up his mask to see Rhodes and the team
Stark: “Oh wow, didn’t hear you come in. Jarvis why didn’t I hear them come in?”
Jarvis: “I am sorry sir.”
Stark removes his mask and gloves walking over to greet his guest.
Stark: “Glad to see the Brady Bunch finally made it.”
Rhodes trying to smooth over Stark’s behavior: “I was just telling them how hard you’ve been working the past several days.”
Stark: “Working oh yes extremely, no breaks.”
Stark walks over to his main computer bringing it to life. Data charts, energy readings, schematics appear on the holographic computer.
Stark: “I understand you had a little extraterrestrial encounter.”
Castle: “More like a demolition exercise.”
Stark continues manipulating controls. “They don’t endure punishment the same as us earthlings do they? Speaking of that Bruce what do you think the lab? Sure beats a cave. AC, heater, and better lighting.”
Stark finishes at the console and walks to another one.
Wayne: “I’m comfortable where I’m at.”
Stark: “Suit yourself. Jarvis begin diagnostics.”
Jarvis: “Right away sir.”
Stark, slowing down his pace stops to address the team.
Stark: “Ok first off I’m no miracle worker. I don’t do training wheels and how to guides. What I can do is guide you into the highly philosophical and religious universe of Arch Reactor technology.”
Jarvis: “Diagnostics complete sir. Battle suits fully operational.”
Drew: “Battle suits?”
Stark: “You heard correct my dear. You fight fire with fire and it’s no different for machines. Each of you will man your own version of the Iron Man.”
The floor begins to move creating an opening. From the opening five custom designed combat suits rise. Each suite designed with the color scheme and logo for each member. Batman’s sports a black suit, two pointed tips on the helmet, and a lit up bat logo center chest piece. Castle’s suit also black has a Punisher skull center chest plate. Drew’s suit mirrors the red and yellow of her spider suit with a spider logo center chest plate. LeBeau’s suit has a dark purple color scheme with graphic G center chest plate. Finally Cages suit a dark grey scheme and a graphic C center chest plate.
LeBeau: “Incredible”
Stark: “Please no drool on the floor. I took the liberty of designing each suit to fit your current look. Better than wearing name tags.”
Cage walks over to his suit knocking on it: “Rhodes you can keep your War Machine.”
Wayne: “They have the same capabilities as the Iron Man?
Stark: “Technically yes but it’s the driver not the suit.”
Stark walks over to the main frame computer manipulating the controls. “Just a little FYI Norman Osborne is in New York at the United Nations gathering. He’s gonna have a heavy detail but it’s probably your best chance to apprehend him.”
Drew: “These suits would look amazing over the New York City skyline.”
Wayne: “Sure you and Rhodes don’t wanna come along? We’ve got room.”
Stark: “We have unfinished business in Sweden right now but another time perhaps.”
Each team member man’s their respective suit and flies out.
EXT: NEW YORK CITY SKYLINE-NIGHT
EXT: UNITED NATIONS SUMMIT-NIGHT
Crowds of New Yorker’s walk the streets. Red ropes and security man the block and entrances.
INT: MEETING ROOM
Hundreds of people walk the room with panels set up for each nation. Flags of each nation hang from the rafters. From the balcony, overseeing the busy floor, Wayne stands in a tuxedo. Wayne scans the room locating Osborne who is conversing with delegates from around the world.
Wayne speaks into his ear piece: “I’ve got a visual at the east corner.”
Drew on the busy floor: “I see him too. It’s pretty congested.”
Wayne: “I see that. We’re gonna need another plan.”
Drew: “Any ideas?”
Wayne: “I’ve got one.”
EXT: MILLENNIUM UN PLAZA HOTEL-NIGHT
INT: LOBBY
The lobby is busy with guests going about their business. Osborne and his posy enter the hotel lobby. Castle, sitting at a rest table operating a laptop, spots them.
Castle speaking into an ear piece: “He’s here.”
Osborne heads toward the bar area.
Castle: “He’s headed into the bar, six guards with him.”
Wayne: “Copy that.”
INT: BAR AREA
Osborne takes a seat at the bar with his guards blending in. LeBeau disguised as the bartender walks up to greet him.
Bartender: “What is your drink of choice this evening?”
Osborne appears to be stressed: “Doesn’t matter.”
Wayne enters the bar area and walks over to Osborne’s seat.
Wayne: “Mr. Osborne how nice to see you.”
The two exchange a hand shake.
Osborne: “What is it pulling you from Gotham?”
Wayne: “Business as usual. Listen I just wanted to say I wish Mr. Cade’s offer had come at different time. We just signed several big contracts and could not take on anymore.”
Osborne: “Well Cade won’t be around to see that happen.”
Wayne: “I’m sorry to hear that.”
Osborne takes a shot from his glass: “Yeah well sometimes things just happen.”
Wayne: “That they do. Norman it was good seeing you. Enjoy the rest of your evening.”
Osborne: “Same to you Bruce.”
Osborne maintains a menacing gaze has Wayne walks away. He summands two of his guards.
Osborne: “Follow Wayne and when you can kill him.”
Guard hesitant at Osborne’s request: “You want us to kill Bruce Wayne here?”
Osborne annoyed pushes the man back: “Brock finish Wayne.”
Brock: “Yes sir.”
Brock exits the bar area following close to Wayne’s trail.
LeBeau, out of Osborne’s sight, speaks into an ear piece: “He took the bait, coming up on your six.”
Wayne: “Good, Cage are you in position?”
Cage: “In position.”
Wayne: “Jessica?”
Drew: “Mission is a go.”
INT: HOTEL LOBBY
Wayne arrives at the elevator with Brock closely behind. Wayne enters the elevator just before Brock does. Brock then makes his way into another.
INT: ELEVATOR
Brock quickly is consumed by the blackness of his symbiote form Venom. He explodes through elevator roof followed by webbing himself onto the bottom of Wayne’s elevator. He busts through the elevator flooring to find Wayne has just exited onto his floor.
INT: HALLWAY
Venom returns to human form walking down the hall after Wayne. He sees Wayne enter a room. Brock makes his way to the locked door. Only his hand takes symbiote form as he punches through the door.
INT: WAYNE’S HOTEL ROOM
Brock completes the Venom transformation. Wayne is nowhere to be found. Venom scouts the room for a moment and notices the balcony door open as curtains blow in the wind. Venom snarls has he darts onto the balcony.
EXT: BALCONY
Venom is immediately met with an earth shattering steel punch from Cage’s combat suit. Followed by another and another. Cage grabs the woozy Venom flying to the hotel’s rooftop.
Cage: “Hold on tight”
EXT: ROOFTOP
The struggling Venom is blasted by Cage’s chest plate. Spiderwoman quickly jumps in swarming Venom with webbing. Venom struggles but is unable to break free.
Batman: “Time to bring his pain.”
Batman reveals a supersonic gun and begins emitting high frequency sounds. Venom begins screaming in agonizing pain as the symbiote tries to free itself. Batman continues increasing the intensity until Brock is completely separated from the symbiote.
Batman: “Luke, do it now.”
Cage fires several missiles at the symbiote vaporizing it. Brock now lies unconscious and defeated.
EXT: BALCONY
Batman, Cage, and Spiderwoman return from the rooftop and enter the room.
INT: WAYNE’S ROOM
They find Osborne tied to a chair unconscious with LeBeau and Castle relaxed on the couch. The trio is shocked to see this.
Castle: “Seems Norman did not budget very high on security.”
FADE IN
Osborne slowly regains consciousness to find himself in darkness except for a single lamp bearing down on him. He hears a voice in the dark. “Welcome back Norman” Osborne quickly turns his head looking for its source. Tied to the chair he is unable to move. The voice comes back “Been a long night.” The menacing figure of Batman partially enters the light.
Batman: “Who are you working with?”
Osborne: “What’s it to you?”
Batman: “The rest of your life.”
Osborne: “You’re gonna have to do better than that. We both know you’ll never kill me.”
A gun is put to Osborne’s head
Castle: “But I might.”
Osborne turns to see Castle holding the gun: “Ah if it isn’t the walking dead man Frank Castle. Thought you burned out months ago after Peru.”
Castle grits his teeth but able to bight his tongue. Batman gets in Osborne’s face.
Batman: “This isn’t a game”
Osborne: “Like I said until you can threaten me with anything of real value I’m not saying a word.”
Castle, no longer able to resist, shoots the gun putting a bullet in Osborne’s leg. Osborne screams in pain. Castle flips the chair around facing Osborne grabbing him by the collar.
Castle: “Answer the question before splatter your brains all over the wall!”
Osborne in excruciating pain tries to fight Castle’s grip: “Victor Von Doom is drilling for the energy source at K2!”
Batman turns Osborne back toward him: “There are two objects headed toward earth. What are they?”
Osborne grimacing: “We don’t know they keep changing their trajectory. That’s all I know!”
Castle: “Then we no longer have use of you.”
Castle shoots the gun putting a bullet through Osborne’s head. The limp body slouches in the chair dead.
Batman shocked at the action: “What are you doing?!”
Drew turns the lights back on revealing to Wayne's hotel room with Cage and LeBeau also present.
Castle: “He deserved to die! He was too dangerous!”
Batman pulls off his cowl: “That’s not your decision to make!”
Castle throws down the gun in anger: “Somebody had to because you weren’t willing!”
Batman: “We don’t work like this. We’re not mercenaries!”
Castle: “What was your plan? Turn him over to the police to escape and cause more harm? He had it coming!”
Batman: “Don’t make that your excuse for revenge! I know the pain of losing the people you love to injustice but we can’t give in!”
Castle: “Keep thinking that Wayne but I see how Gotham is still dying even with the Batman! I’m not gonna watch the world do the same!”
Batman: “You’ll have to fight that battle alone Frank. You’re off the team.”
Castle pauses for a moment digesting his dismissal. Drew, Cage, LeBeau shocked at Wayne’s decision can only stand as Castle leaves the room.
EXT: K2 HIMALAYAS-DAY
The snow covered mountain sits as the sun shines down upon it. A modified space shuttle approaches entering a deep cavern near the top.
INT: CAVERN
The shuttle approaches what appears normal mountain side. Without changing course the shuttle flies through the mountain side hologram entering a large hanger area.
INT: HANGER
The shuttle comes to a stop and its cargo doors open. Krieger and Talia exit. Dr. Von Doom comes to greet the two.
Doom: “Where’s Osborne?”
Talia: “He never arrived at the check point.”
Krieger: “No doubt his flamboyant nature caught up with him. Any man who attends a gathering as large as the UN Summit deserves whatever comes his way.”
Doom: “What are you saying?”
Talia: “Batman and his team paid him a visit.”
Doom: “You didn’t intervene? If he talks we could be finished.”
Talia: “Nothing can stop us now. Osborne only knows what we allowed him to.”
Doom looks very confused and unsure as to what he is hearing. Krieger reveals a steel box
Krieger: “Doctor I understand Mr. Osborne brought you on board this mission but there is much more than meets the eye.”
As he uncovers the box bright blue light is emitted revealing the COSMIC CUBE. Doom is memorized by this the power. Without Doom realizing the shuttle behind him transforms into the Decepticon Blastoff, a military hummer transforms into Swindle, long range missile launch truck transforms into Onslaught along with Brawl and Vortex taking robot form. After a moment Doom notices the moving figures in the background and quickly discovers the colossal robots.
Talia: “What the Captain is trying to say is you no longer take orders from Osborne.”
Doom gives a menacing smile: “Just like money giant robots can buy anything.”
CUT TO:
Four figures speed toward the mountain top. A closer view reveals to be Batman, Spiderwoman, Luke Cage, and Gambit sporting their aerial combat suits.
Spiderwoman: “I’m getting identical energy signatures that were at the base but there’s even more interference.”
Batman: “This is it.”
The team assumes an attack formation accelerating toward the fight of their lives.
