John Carter (2012): Fan Poster

The style is partially based on Drew Struzan's work, hence the paint effect. (Which actually doesn't turn out really well.)

The first one looks kinda blurry IMO, could use some work but otherwise I really like it.
The second one is probably the best minimalist poster I've seen. Probably better than the official posters for the film. Well done.

You my friend are amazing. Just checked out your other ones too. Your second Avengers one is probably better than anything Marvel could actually put out.

Your work is better than the "professionals".

However, I don't like how the White Ape's head is cut out.

I like them both. To me the movie has a modern day star wars feel to it, and the first poster highlights that.

The second could easily have been a teaser poster.

Thanks for the comments, guys. :)

PaulRom: My intention was to make them look like they're painted as in Drew Struzan's works (hence the 'blurry' effect), but doesn't seem like it works so fine, lol. But thanks!

3D: I did try to not cut them out as well, however the actual image is not a full image of the apes either, making me unable to put the apes above the airship image. (If I did so, the parts that are cut from the actual image, which were half of its arm and back, would be apparent.)

@Jolt17 Yeah, it's a very good try but clearing up some of the images would make the poster perfect.
