Let me just clear up something: I am an American, and know that Superman is an American icon. Heck, one of my favorite parts of the John Byrne-reboot is that he is born on Earth, in Kansas, not on Krypton. But while I would have liked to see Routh back, I think Cavill will do an amazing job as Kal-El, much better than Bale as Batman, anyways, and completely trust him to make an awesome movie. So, here is my manip:

Bale is an awesome Batman and the manip is weird and the official Routh suit is way better. You just edited the Routh suit to make it ugly because you don't like it.

Bale is THE BEST Batman so far! He owns the role IMO, he plays the character to perfection. And how would you know what a comic book character SOUNDS like? For all we know he could have that raspy voice, or he could have some helium voice. It makes sense that he'd try to sound as scary as possible to criminals.
ANYWAY, on the manip... What happened to Cavill's face? The muscle shading isn't very good. And I actually hate the shade of blue used (even though it's the Returns shade)... I do like the size of the shield and the new shade of red you've done though. And yes, the shield looks better raised and the design of it was good too.

So you are telling me that you don't look at Bale in the batsuit and recognise that it is Batman? ACira covered sound. As for acts he dresses as a bat, doesn't kill, has a billionaire alter ego, puts fear into criminals (how is this not Batman like?)

Anyway, on to the manip, apart from it looking a bit odd around the face this is alright colourwise, the design is pretty much just the same as Routh's though.

ManOSteel @ I too think Routh should have had another chance, saying that I knew as a reboot he would never of been picked, much like Welling... Been on the CAVILL boat since the start, gotta say he will own and thumbs up!

P.S. Nothing wrong with BALE lol.

He's up there with KEATON!

Are you referring to the post-Crisis John Byrne reboot, because he was born on Krypton in that continuity. Maybe you are referring to something else.

The pic is not bad. Points off though for dissing Bale as Batman :)

Bale? Bad? He is THE best Batman ever. He especially owns as Bruce Wayne.
Anyways, the manip is okay. Too similar to Rouths design.

Dude, I'm probably going to be the only one who agrees with you. I've been anti-Bale for a while now and still don't think he's a good Bats. A great action actor, but no Dark Knight.

hmm, the manip: the cap, underwear, boot and 'S' it's too red.. i like the supes suit in routh version. it's looks classic just like the Christopher Reeve suit..

A lot of people are fans of Reeve's Superman and this s the best pic I could find. ManOSteel has a slighter blue on both the flag and the shirt, a redesigned logo(I stupidly kept the crappy Reeve one)and an embossed belt buckle.

Bale is BATMAN !
Keatons Batman was as intimidating as Alan from The Hangover, and he was an ugly, old Bruce Wayne who had the physique of a Sesame street character... Routh resembled a Josh Groban in a Supes costume with a spit curl. Watching green paint dry on a green wall is more entertaining...

Bale is the best Bruce Wayne, but Keaton was the best Batman. I'm really looking forward to the new Superman movie though.
