Fan Art: Superman, Batman and Wolverine Watercolor

In the article, I present to you a series of water color paintings, sketches etc in which I've done of some comic book and comic book related characters. I do apologize for the roughness of some of the pictures, as my scanner broke and had to capture them with my iPhone.

I've been wanting to try watercolor painting for a while now, and finally found my daughter's paints. So I sat down with my sketch pad, pencils and watercolors and chose to do a few comic book related paintings.

Batman

Superman

Wolverine

Next up, I wanted to try a few sketches after watching the Mark Crilley videos I wrote about a few days ago, in order to better my skills. The following are those sketches.

The Phantom

Castle Grayskull

The Cast of The Big Bang Theory

Just a sketch I did practicing background and a different pose.

Next up are a few digital paintings I did using Microsoft paint. These aren't exactly comic book related, but thought maybe I could share them here. They're tattoo designs I did for my flash collection and then converted them into digital paintings.

I have a huge collection of both movies and comics... As a kid and teenager I collected Marvel but within the past few years I've mainly gotten into DC Comics particularly Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Firestorm. Other favorites of mine are Outburst and The Ray. I've recently started getting back into Star Trek which TNG was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I'm married to a beautiful woman named Elizabeth have 2 girls (Marissa 9 and Alexandria 2) and a son who's a year old named Edward. I own my own handyman and lawn care business. How long does it take you to paint these? I assume that it's not long at all.

I usually work on the entire piece from start to finish for about an hour.

Superman is my favorite! I love how Sheldon looks super BA in the Big Bang Theory picture. Haha

Might I suggest that you slow down a bit. I can see bloom in the water colors that come from lips and in there elements you probably didn't want mixed.

Also have you looked into watercolor paper. It looks like regular computer paper that you have there. It doesn't work the same way and it wont hold together if you really wanted to work in on that.

It's nice to see your enthusiasm.

this was my first water color, and I know it's not the right kind of paper, I just wanted to try it out, and I was trying a few different things with it.
