After watching nine seasons of Smallville I believe that Tom Welling would make a really good Goku due to the fact that he already plays a less goofy more serious version of the character on Smallville…Spike his hair and you have your Goku!
Zachary Levi, Matt Bomer and Brandon Routh were previously considered….
Vegeta- Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries)
Ian is one of my favorite actors who is very good at playing anti-heroes and villains (watch Vampire Diaries and The Tournament). Who cares if Vegeta is meant to be shorter then the other characters in the series. The reason that he is a fan favorite is because of his bad ass personality NOT his height!!!...Spike Ians hair and you have the perfect Prince of all Saiyans!
Christian Bale (only if he uses the Bat Voice!), Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Sam Witwer and Cam Gigandet were considered.
Raditz- Jason Behr (Max Evans in Roswell)
Good actor who slightly resembles Tom Welling…
Nappa- Bill Goldber (WWE)
I like to think of wrestlers as actors who cannot act =)
Nappa is only needs a few minutes of screen time. Goldberg is perfect for the role because he looks exactly like the character (He’s also been in a few straight to DVD movies which I have NEVER seen)
Bardock (Father of Goku) - Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton in True Blood)
In my opinion Stephen Moyer would make a good Bardock due to the fact that I can imagine him battling Frieza (Derek Mears) in the opening scene of the film and sacrificing himself like George Kirk in the Star Trek reboot (this scene would be about 10-15 min)
King Vegeta – Steve Bacic (Beast in X2 and The Dark Archer in Smallville)
He looks like King Vegeta …

Piccolo- Michael J White (The Dark Knight)
This guy is a martial artist (watch Blood and Bone) and great actor…
I initially had Djimon Honsou…until I watched Blood and Bone
Tien- Tom Hardy (Bronson and RocknRolla)
Tom Hardy is one of my favorite actors, RocknRolla being one of my fav movies…Hardy was my pick for Vegeta until I found Somerhalder
All Tom Hardy needs is an eye in the middle of his forehead….
Yamcha- Dennis Oh
I’ve never seen him act so I cannot comment…But im sure that he will do a better job as Yamcha than Joon Park (That daytime television line that he had in DBE makes ne cringe!!!)
James jyson lee from heroes was considered.
Bulma – Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick Ass)
The best part of Kick Ass…Give her aqua blue hair and you have your Bulma
Gemma Arterton would be my 2nd choice
Chi Chi- Zhang Ziyi
Never seen her act…But she looks the part & she can fight
Trunks – Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester in Supernatural)
The reason I chose Ackles is because he is a great actor and I can easily imagine him playing Trunks…He is a bit old though…I think that he would’ve made an awesome Captain America (Im sure Evans will do well)
My initial pick was Taylor Kitch…
I honestly have no idea about who should play Krillin…Help!!!
