FAN CAST: DRAGON BALL Z
"I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good! Nightmare to you!"

Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of the adult Goku who, along with his companions, defends the earth against an assortment of villains ranging from intergalactic space fighters and conquerors, unnaturally powerful androids and near indestructible magical creatures. While the original Dragon Ball anime followed Goku through childhood into adulthood, Dragon Ball Z is a continuation of his adulthood life, but at the same time parallels the maturation of his son, Gohan, as well as characters from Dragon Ball and more. The separation between the series is also significant as the latter series takes on a more dramatic and serious tone. The anime also features characters, situations and back-stories not present in the original manga.
DBZ
Goku-Tom Welling (Smallville, The Fog)
Goku: Goku (孫 悟空, Son Gokū), born Kakarot (カカロット, Kakarotto), is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball metaseries created by Akira Toriyama. He is the adoptive grandson of Grandpa Gohan, the husband of Chi-Chi, the father of Gohan and Goten, the grandfather of Pan, and later great-great grandfather of Goku Jr. Goku is a defender of Earth and informally leads the Z Fighters. Throughout his life, he trains hard and strives to be the greatest warrior possible, while at the same time using his amazing strength and skills to uphold peace. These qualities make him the perfect example of a hero, though not necessarily the perfect role model, due to his lack of education.
Tom Welling: Thomas John Patrick "Tom" Welling is an American actor, director, producer, and model, best known for his portrayal of Clark Kent in the WB/CW series Smallville. I think the Clark Kent he played on Smallville would be perfect for Goku in this movie. I personally liked Smallville. I know i'll get hate for this, but who cares
Kid Goku-Leo Howard (Kickin It, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra)
(Kid) Goku: Goku is known for his cheerful, energetic personality and his love of competition (specifically sport fighting and eating). He has remarkable intuition at seeing the good in others in spite of their actions, though his capacity for forgiving his enemies has occasionally been criticized as excessive; Goku, for the most part, only fights to win, and spares his enemies after defeating them only for them to attack him when his back is turned.
Leo Howard: Leo Howard (born July 13, 1997) is an American actor, model and martial artist. Beginning his martial arts training at the age of four and an acting career at the age of seven, Howard is known for incorporating his karate and wushu skills into his feature film and television roles; as "Young Snake Eyes" in the 2009 action film, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, as "Young Conan" in the 2011 fantasy film, Conan the Barbarian and stars as "Jack" on the Disney XD comedy series, Kickin' It. He is an AMAZING martial artist and would be a great young Goku. I'd want Goku to be a little bit older than he was in the manga and anime.
Vegeta-Sam Witwer (Being Human, Smallville)
Vegeta: Vegeta (ベジータ), or Prince Vegeta, is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and arch-rival to Goku. He is the husband of Bulma, the father of Trunks and Bulla, the brother of Tarble, and the great-great grandfather of Vegeta Jr. Aside from Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo, he is easily one of the most prominent characters in the series, receiving more character development after being introduced than a number of other characters.
Sam Witwer: Samuel Stewart "Sam" Witwer (born October 20, 1977) is an American actor and musician. He has appeared in individual episodes of numerous television shows as well as minor recurring characters in shows such as Battlestar Galactica, Davis Bloome aka Doomsday in Smallville, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Dexter. He also voiced, and gave his likeness to the main protagonist, Galen Marek/Starkiller, in the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game and its sequel. He voiced The Son in Season 3 of the Clone Wars & Darth Maul in the final two episodes of the fourth season of Cartoon Network's Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He is also star of the US/Canadian remake of BBC's supernatural drama series Being Human on Syfy in the US and Space in Canada. Amazing actor. Even though he is 6'1 he's shorter than Tom Welling which is good enough for me. He has a great voice for the role as well.
Piccolo-Michael Jai White (Blood and Bone, Black Dynamite)
Piccolo: Piccolo (ピッコロ・ジュニア, Pikkoro Junia) is the Namekian reincarnation and final son of King Piccolo as well as the final villain in the Dragon Ball series, and a protagonist in the Dragon Ball Z and the Dragon Ball GT series. According to Grand Elder Guru, Piccolo, along with Kami and King Piccolo, are part of the Dragon Clan, who were the original creators of the Dragon Balls.
Michael Jai White: Michael Jai White is an American actor and martial artist who has appeared in numerous films and television series. Michael Jai White is a trained martial artist and great actor. He can be very serious and dramatic (Blood and Bone) or very comedic and cheesy (Black Dynamite).
Gohan-Dakota Goyo (Real Steel, Rise of the Gaurdians)
Gohan: Gohan (孫 悟飯, Son Gohan) is the first son of Goku and Chi-Chi, the older brother of Goten, the husband of Videl and father to Pan. Gohan is also the first hybrid (half Human, half Saiyan) to appear in the series. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. Gohan's name is a homophone for gohan (御飯), the Japanese word for "cooked rice," which also refers to meals in general. In Mandarin, the reading of 悟飯 is homophone for 午飯 (wûfàn), meaning "lunch".
Dakota Goyo: Dakota Avery Goyo is a Canadian child actor. He is best known for playing Max Kenton in the film Real Steel. He will be voicing Jamie in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film, Rise of the Guardians which will be released on November 21, 2012. I think he could make a great Gohan, especially during the training part of the Saiyan saga.
Bulma-Beth Riesgraf (Leverage, Nobody)
Bulma: Bulma (ブルマ, Buruma; lit. "Bloomers") is supporting protagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and in the animes Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. She is a scientist and the daughter of Capsule Corporation's founder, Dr. Brief.[11] and is Goku's first friend.[1][3] She used to be the girlfriend of Yamcha,[12][8] but moved on and, eventually, became the wife of Vegeta. With him she had a son named Trunks and a daughter named Bulla. She lives in West City all her life, and her address is listed as WST 3338926 K.[7] Her Citizen Number is SSC 41453.[13]
Beth Riesgraf: Beth Jean Riesgraf is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Parker in the TNT television series Leverage. When i was trying to start my fan cast for this the night before i had watched a LOT of leverage on ion e. She was the first person who popped up in my head for Bulma. I think she would do a GREAT job playing Bulma. I think she could play the nice spirit that if you get mad she will scream your face off kinda girl.
Kid Bulma-Chloe Grace Moretz ( Kick-A$$ 1 & 2, Hugo)
(Kid) Bulma-Bulma has a temperamental personality while being very tomboyish and girly at the same time. While known for her extreme intellect, she is also considerably spoiled and vain. Bulma is shown to typically believe that she is one of the most beautiful girls ever and uses it as an excuse for her selfish behavior. Bulma's selfishness prevents her from being able to ride the Flying Nimbus. Despite her temperament, she often displays friendliness and helpfulness towards others.
Chloe Grace Moretz-Chloë Grace Moretz ( /məˈrɛts/; born February 10, 1997) is an American teen actress and model. She began her acting career at the age of seven with performances in films and series such as The Amityville Horror, (500) Days of Summer, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Momma's House 2, Desperate Housewives, and Dirty Sexy Money (for which she received numerous Young Artist Awards nominations). She received worldwide recognition for her breakthrough performance as Hit-Girl in the 2010 action film Kick-Ass,[1] and her praise continued with roles in the critically acclaimed films Let Me In and Hugo. She's one of THE best young actresses I've ever see and i think she would do great as a young Bulma.
Chi Chi-Anne Hathaway ( TDKR, Les Miserables)
Chi Chi: Chi-Chi (チチ) is the daughter of the Ox-King[8][9] who later marries Goku[10][11] and becomes the loving mother of Gohan and Goten. She was first introduced as a shy and fearful girl, but later, as she gets older, develops a very tomboyish, tough and fierce personality, which sometimes causes her to have anger outbursts seen several times throughout the series. Despite this, she has shown her love for Goku and her sons many times throughout the series.
Anne Hathaway: Anne Jacqueline Hathaway is an American actress. After several stage roles, she appeared in the 1999 television series Get Real. She played Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries and its 2004 sequel. I think she could play a really good Chi Chi. She definately has the acting ability and in this version i want Chi Chi to be hot not just Bulma.
Krillin-Shaobo Qin ( Oceans Eleven-13)
Krillin: Krillin (クリリン, Kuririn) is a supporting protagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and the animes Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He is Goku's ally and a Z Fighter who is short in height and bald (with the exception of the Majin Buu Saga onwards) and provides comic relief during tense moments.
Shaobo Qin: A member of the internationally acclaimed Peking Acrobats, Shaobo Qin made his motion picture debut in 2001, playing The Amazing Yen, Danny Ocean's "grease man" in the remake of Ocean's Eleven. I think he would be an awesome Krillin. He's tall enough also (Standing at 5'10).
Kid Krillin-Brandon Soo Hoo (Supah Ninjas, Tropic Thunder)
Brandon Soo Hoo: Brandon Soo Hoo is an American teen actor who had a role in the 2008 Ben Stiller film Tropic Thunder. He is not that much shorter than Shaobo Qin, but i ant Krillin to just like stop growing at a young age. Brandon Soo Hoo is still a 4'11 16 year old.
Master Roshi-Jackie Chan (The Karate Kid, 1911)
Master Roshi: Master Roshi (武天老師, Muten Rōshi), also known as the Turtle Hermit (亀仙人, Kamesen'nin), is a supporting protagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and makes appearances in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He is an ancient and wise martial arts master, and the first character to wield the trademark Kamehameha. Though he seems frail, Roshi is actually a mighty warrior. He trained Grandpa Gohan, Ox-King, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha. Master Roshi is both the archetypical wise old man and a perverted old man, the latter being typical of shōnen manga. Sometimes, he gets cranky, which further provides comic relief. His companions are usually Oolong, Turtle, and Launch. His home is Kame House, a shack on a small isolated island which serves as a gathering place for the his friends.
Jackie Chan: Jackie Chan, SBS, MBE is an actor, action choreographer, comedian, director, producer, martial artist, screenwriter, entrepreneur, singer, and stunt performer. I think he would be an AMAZING Roshi. He's show that he can play a teacher in Karate Kid and he's shown in comedic side in movies like Rush Hour.
Yamcha-Garret Hedlund
Yamcha: Yamcha (ヤムチャ, Yamucha) is a supporting protagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and in the animes Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, also making a few appearances in Dragon Ball GT. He is a former desert bandit, once being an enemy of Goku, but eventually reformed and became a lifelong friend and ally. He was the first of the eventual Z Fighters to meet and team up with Goku. His best friend is Puar, and he was once Bulma's boyfriend. His name is a play on "Yum cha" (literally "drinking tea"), referring to a gathering to drink tea and eat dim sum.
Garret Hedlund: Garrett John Hedlund (born September 3, 1984) is an American actor known for his roles in the films Friday Night Lights, Four Brothers, Eragon, Country Strong, for his role as Patroclus in the movie Troy, as Sam Flynn in Tron: Legacy and as Dean Moriarty (Neal Cassady) in the film On the Road. I think he'd make a great Yamcha. He could grab the audience attention and make them root for Yamcha even though e's one of the weakest of the Z Fighters
Kid Yamcha-Colin Ford
(Kid) Yamcha: Yamcha is introduced in the Emperor Pilaf Saga as a 16 year old bandit that lives in Diablo Desert along with his companion, an anthropomorphic cat named Puar, and robs travelers who pass through. He ambushed Goku, Bulma and Oolong in order to steal their money and capsules. When challenged by Goku, they fought, with Yamcha using his signature technique, the Wolf Fang Fist, seemingly knocking Goku out. However, it only injured Goku. Then, Goku starts to have the disadvantage when he starts to get hungry, which drains his power. As Yamcha was about to defeat Goku, he spots Bulma and makes his retreat, due to his extreme fear of women.
Colin Ford: Colin Ford is an American actor and voice actor. He is known for his role as young Sam Winchester in the 2005 TV series, Supernatural, and as Dylan Mee in the family movie We Bought a Zoo. He's a great young actor and i think could be a great young Yamcha.
Bardock-Henry Cavill (Immortals, Man of Steel)
Bardock: Bardock (バーダック) is a low-class Saiyan warrior, and the father of Raditz and Goku (Kakarot). He makes his debut in the 1990 TV special Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku. His life before his appearance in the special is unknown, but he is shown to lead his own squad into battle, and they are very successful in accomplishing their assignments. He is an adept fighter and a devoted Saiyan Army soldier under Frieza's Planet trade organization, until he realizes that Frieza plans the annihilation of the Saiyan race. Given to him by the last Kanassan warrior, was the ability to see into the future and it is through these visions that he sees the eventual Genocide of the Saiyans.
Henry Cavill: Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill is a British actor. He has appeared in the films The Count of Monte Cristo, Stardust and Immortals, and played the role of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk, on the Showtime series The Tudors, from 2007 until 2010. I think he would make a GREAT Bardock. He has the acting ability and he was my 3rd choice for Goku.
King Vegeta-Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, Awake)
King Vegeta: King Vegeta (ベジータ王, Bejīta Ō) was the king of all Saiyans and the father of Vegeta and Tarble. He was also the commanding hero of the Saiyan Army, and led his people to victory in the Saiyan-Tuffle war, in which the planet was renamed in his honor. After his people were annexed by Frieza's planet trade organization, he had no choice but to pledge allegiance, but kept power over his people.
Jason Isaacs: Jason Isaacs (born 6 June 1963) is an English actor born in Liverpool, known for his performance as the villain Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, the brutal Colonel William Tavington in The Patriot and as lifelong criminal Michael Caffee in the American television series Brotherhood. Though most of his work has been in film and television, it also includes stage performances; most notably as Louis Ironson in Declan Donnellan's 1992 and 1993 Royal National Theatre London premières of Parts One (Millennium Approaches) and Two (Perestroika) of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, and as Ben, one of two hitmen, playing opposite Lee Evans as Gus, in Harry Burton's 2007 critically acclaimed 50th-anniversary revival of Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter's 1957 two-hander The Dumb Waiter at Trafalgar Studios. He starred in the the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) drama Awake as Detective Michael Britten from March to May 2012. He would be an AMAZING King Vegeta. He deifnately has the acting ability and he even resembles him.
Raditz-Joe Maganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike)
Raditz: Raditz (ラディッツ, Radittsu) is an antagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and in the Dragon Ball Z anime. He is the biological brother of Goku (Kakarot), and the eldest son of Bardock. As with all other Saiyans in the series, Raditz's name is a pun off a vegetable, "radish" in this case. Raditz's family are all named after root vegetables (burdock, radish, and carrot).
Joe Maganiello: Joseph "Joe" Michael Manganiello is a classically trained American film and theater actor. He holds a BFA in acting from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. He could be a really good Raditz. He has the figure for it and he's very intimidating.
Nappa-Bill Goldberg (Half Past Dead 2, The Longest Yard)
Nappa: Nappa (ナッパ) is an antagonist in the Dragon Ball manga, and in the anime Dragon Ball Z, also making short appearances in Dragon Ball GT. He is an elite Saiyan warrior from Planet Vegeta, and Vegeta's partner in combat. Prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Nappa was the General of the Saiyan Army under the planet trade organization and aid/partner to the young Prince Vegeta as well. After his race's demise, he along with Vegeta and Raditz work as soldiers directly under Frieza, which leads him to Earth. His name is a pun off of Chinese cabbage.
Bill Goldberg: William Scott "Bill" Goldberg is a former professional wrestler best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling. He is notable for his lengthy undefeated streak in singles competition. He is over casted as this character, but that's because he's PERFECT for it.
Well that's the fan cast. Give me feedback
