Fan Cast for the Black Panther!!!

The King of Wakanda gets his own fan cast!

A Black Panther movie has been talked about for years, with Wesley Snipes being a very vocal advocate for the throne of Wakanda. This is a fan cast devoted to T'Challa, the most-well known Black Panther.

I tried to pick both original and relatively unknown picks, as I think that for Comic Book Movies, it works best that way.

Character: At an early age, T'Challa is groomed to be the king of Wakanda by his father, T'Chaka. With this role of king, he would take on another role: the protector of Wakanda under the cover of the Black Panther. After his father is murdered by Ulysses Klaw, T'Challa is sent overseas to study in different schools. Years later, he returns to Wakanda to take his rightful place as the Black Panther.

Actor: Chadwick Boseman has appeared in television shows such as Fringe, Lie To Me, and ER, as well as having a regular role on Lincoln Heights.

Chadwick Boseman is a solid actor, who I first saw on the show Lie To Me. He would be great as the Black Panther!

Character: In an ideal world Marvel would own the rights to all of their properties in Hollywood, and we could get epic crossovers. However, as this is not the case, I wouldn't hold my breath for Storm to be in the Black Panther film. Probably what'll happen is a new character will be created to take the place of Ororo Monroe, a la Nolan's Batman series.

Actress: I saw this is a previous fan cast and thought it was great casting for some reason. Alicia Keys has pretty minimal film experience, but I thoroughly enjoyed her performance in Smokin' Aces with Ryan "Green Lantern"/"Deadpool" Reynolds.

Character: When the film first starts T'Chaka Udaku is the current king of Wakanda, and T'Challa's father. He teaches T'Challa about the ways of Wakanda, including vibranium - a precious metal that only exists in Wakanda. He is murdered by Ulysses Klaw.

Actor: Sorry, no spirited casting of Djimon Hounsou here. Mykelti Williamson is probably best known for his role as Bubba in the film Forrest Gump. However, he has had a sprawling career, appearing in the films Heat, Con Air, and the critically acclaimed film Boomtown.

Character: In the comics, M'Baku is the name of the villain known as Man-Ape. In the Ultimate comics, M'Baku is T'Challa's older brother. I think for the film I would want it to take sort of an amalgam of the Ultimate universe, the classic universe, as well as T'Challa's brother Hunter.

In the film I want M'Baku to be one of T'Chaka's closest friends (next only to N'Gassi) before he dies. After T'Challa is taken out of Wakanda to study abroad by N'Gassi, M'Baku steps in, creating the Hatute Zeraze as sort of a secret police. Once T'Challa returns to take his place, it is revealed that M'Baku was working with Klaw to mine the vibranium, and that he was behind T'Chaka's murder.

Actor: Kevin Grevioux is an excellent actor, best known for his role as Raze in the Underworld films. While not an original pick, I do believe he would be the best for this role!

Character: Ulysses Klaw is a physicist for the military studying vibrations. He finds out, with M'Baku's help, all about the supply of vibranium beneath Wakanda, and creates a weapon that converts sound into matter, powered by the vibranium.

Actor: William Fitchner is quite simply one of the most brilliant actors today. He is incredible in just about everything he is in: from his role in Heat, and Crash, to his roles in Armaggedon and Black Hawk Down. I think he would be as good in this role as Heath Ledger as the Joker, or Michael Fassbender as Magneto.

Character: N'Gassi is one of T'Chaka's closest friends and advisors. Upon T'Chaka's death, N'Gassi takes over the care for T'Challa, sending him overseas to study. He is often a sounding board for T'Challa, as well as a well of advice.

Actor: Joe Morton is a really good actor. He has been in the films Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Apt Pupil, and American Gangster. Joe Morton would be perfect for N'Gassi!

Character: Erik Killmonger is a master strategist who tries to gain control of Wakanda.

Actor: Henry Simmons is a fantastic actor. He is best known for his part in NYPD: Blue, Shark, and the film Madea's Family Reunion.

Character: Brother Voodoo is a master of the mystical arts in the Marvel Universe. In the film I would like to see him as one of the T'Challa's advisers in the mystic ways.

Actor: Harold Perrineau is best known for his role in Lost, Oz, and The Unusuals. He would be fantastic as the voodoo professional.

Character: In the comics, Everett Ross is a U.S. ambassador assigned to T'Challa when he visits America. However, in the film, I think it would be easier if Ross is a SHIELD agent assigned to T'Challa by Nick Fury.

Actor: Justin Kirk is best known for his role as Andy Botwin on the Showtime series Weeds. Justin Kirk is sensational, with a dry humor and a quick wit I think would suit Everett Ross just fine, especially when stacked against the stoic Black Panther.

Character: Kevin "Kasper" Cole is a police detective in Harlem who comes in contact with the Black Panther. He steals Black Panther's gear from an evidence locker and takes the law into his own hands as the White Tiger.

Actor: Boris Kodjoe first came to my attention in the J.J. Abrams television show Undercovers. Then I saw him in Resident Evil: Afterlife, and Surrogates. He is a solid actor and I think he would do well in this role.

CAMEOS

Reason: I would love to see in the first film, T'Challa tracking down Ulysses Klaw and coming to America. After he makes it to America, SHIELD finds him and Nick Fury assigns Everett Ross to help out T'Challa, as they want to strike a deal with him (possible help in the Avengers).

All right well let me know what you think! Thanks for reading!!!

That's unbelievable that this didn't show up on the Fan Fic page. Let me give my blow-by-blow.

- I'm not familiar with this actor besides the fact that TANKGIRL cast him as Cloak in his Cloak and Dagger fancast a while back.
- Alicia Keys is a very ballsy pick for Storm. But she sounds too street. We need someone who talks like she's from Africa.
- You know, you forgot to mention that Mykelti played a father figure in ATL which he did phenomenal in. So yeah, he's got my vote for T'Chaka.
- Kevin G.'s voice doesn't fit M'Baku. He sounds more fit to be a demon or something. Have you thought of Christopher Judge?
- William Fichtner, huh? Sure, go for it!
- I just started getting into Weeds. Hopefully I'll delve in further and catch Justin Kirk. But I think that's a pretty good choice for Everett Ross.
- I always thought Boris Kodjoe would be an interesting choice for Luke Cage, since he looks the part.

Rest of the picks are good. You should come check out my fancasts when you get time.

I totally agree with Shadow11. I think Anthony Mackie is the best pick for T'Challa however I think your pick is the best back-up. Have you considered Lance Reddick from Fringe for T'Chaka? Overall, awesome job!
