Well, I started working on a fancast of the short-run, FORCE
WORKS Super-group quite a long time ago and now with all the
new concept pictures of Captain America & Thor there has been a
red hot fervor over the Avengers with tons of CBM-ERS doing
some outstanding posters of THE AVENGERS and THOR & CAPTAIN
AMERICA, I thought it was fitting to finally put up my FORCE
WORKS fancast.
Force Works grew out of the remnants of the West Coast Avengers.
It was a short-run series that ran from July 1, 1994-April 1, 1996.
Shortly after the death of Mockingbird, the West Coast Avengers
disbanded, understandingly HAWKEYE left while in mourning the
death of his wife, WAR MACHINE went solo, and the rest were
removed from The Avengers charter after the events of “CRASH &
BURN.
The team was reformed as FORCE WORKS by Iron Man. FORCE
WORKS consisted of U.S.AGENT, SCARLET WITCH, WONDER-
MAN, SPIDER WOMAN (later ARACHNE) and of course IRON-
MAN. The alien, CENTURY later replaced WONDER MAN when
WONDEY was apparently killed. WAR MACHINE joined the
group for a short time as well. Also a Space Ghost masqueraded as
a swashbuckling type character, MOONRAKER, till they finally
discovered his deception. The cybernetic techie girl who worked
for Stark's Asian division came in later as the character,
CYBERMANCER.
I was thinking that FORCE WORKS would make a great spin-off
of THE AVENGERS movies. After AVENGERS 3 is over and done
with they could segue WONDER MAN into the FORCE WORKS
with IRON MAN and CAP starting the AVENGERS initiative
team (which has been shown to still be active as one of the many
Initiative Teams). Heck it would make a damm fine TV show too!
I would put U.S.AGENT (JOHN WALKER) in charge of IRON
WOMAN (with BETHANY CABE in the Iron-suit), WONDER MAN,
ARACHNE, MOONRAKER and CYBERMANCER.
I've always liked U.S.AGENT as a character, mainly because he's a
CAPTAIN AMERICA copy and acted as CAP, for a short time, in
THE AVENGERS. CYBERMANCER replaces SCARLET WITCH
cuz she's jammed up at FOX! I would make MOONRAKER as the
actual character that the Space Ghost was impersonating.
Bethany Cabe acted for a short time as WAR MACHINE 2.0 so she
is perfect to put into a beefed-up IRON WOMAN armor-suit. I
think that would be downright kickbutt and sexy! Of course I've
always thought there was something extremely sexy about robot
ladies and iron maidens. (Dat don't make me psycho does it? Lol)
I started this fancast when everybody was saying that KATE MARA
(YOWSEEEERRRR) was going to be BETHANY CABE in IRON-
MAN 2 but she just turned out playing a small part as a U.S. Marshall.
But there isn't anything that says her role can't be expanded upon
and turned into Bethany. After all Bethany did come from law
enforcement. So I kept her here as BETHANY/IRON WOMAN.
So there you have it:
FORCE WORKS--
U.S.AGENT, IRON WOMAN, WONDER MAN, ARACHNE,
MOONRAKER, & CYBERMANCER.
Philip Winchester received 21 offers from agents to represent him after
performing the lead in “Master and Margarita” in London. He was
discovered in Montana when “THE PATRIOT” was casting locally. He
won a supporting role in the movie at the age of 14. So he's no slouch
in the acting department. I always thought he was British from his
role in NBC'S “ROBINSON CRUSOE”.

IRON WOMAN (BETHANY CABE) – KATE MARA
Just look at that "SIMON WILLIAMS" smile David has.
WONDER MAN( SIMON WILLIAMS) – DAVID BOREANAZ
ARACHNE is currently in the Canadian super-group, OMEGA FLIGHT,
but I would like to see her in this American group.
Kate would be great for this role since she missed out on playing BLACK
WIDOW. I just want to see her in that tight black Spider Woman suit!
ARACHNE (JULIA CORNWALL CARPENTER) – KATE BECKINSALE
MOONRAKER altered time and joined FORCE WORKS in a very
short time without anyone knowing when the team met him. Only
ARACHNE'S daughter RACHEL suspected something was not right
with him.
My guy is the actual character, (GUSTAV BRANDT).
ALEX O'LOUGHLIN cut a rakish character as Mick the heroic P.I.
Vampire on "MOONLIGHT" on CBS. He would be great for this part
with longer hair and scruff on his chin. After all the name is
“MOON”-RAKER!
MOONRAKER (GUSTAV BRANDT) – ALEX O'LOUGHLIN
Julia Ling is yummy as one of the nerd-herd on NBC'S “CHUCK”!
CYBERMANCER (SUSAN “SUZIE” ENDO) – JULIA LING
