I dont care what anyone says...This dude would own the role...I considered Hartnett, but I ralised that he didint look the part...If Jason Behr was given time to bulk up I believe that he would resemble Superman physically...
Btw, he's filming a tv show with Stephen Lang called MATADORS...

I honestly cannot find the PERFECT Lois Lane...

Lex Luthor - Daniel Day Lewis (There Will Be Blood)

D.D.L is a high calibur actor...Nolans 1st choice for Ra's Al Ghul in Batman...He would NEVER accept this role...
People i considered: Jason Isaacs,Mark Strong,Michael C Hall, Johnny Depp and Leonardo Di Caprio (seriously)

John Corben/ Metallo - Tom Hardy (RocknRolla)



Batman,Deadshot...He could probably play them all...Since I couldnt use Brian Austin Green, I chose the next best thing...TOM HARDY, because he looks tough!
Imagine Tom with a kryptonite heart beating the /*^% out of Superman

Perry White - Bruce Campbell (Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy) or Tommy Lee Jones (No Country for Old Men)

He reminds me of Lane Smith, who played Perry in Lois and Clark : The New Adventures of Superman

Because he looks like the KFC guy...

Jimmy Olsen - Kenny Baumann (The Secret Life of an American Teenager)

I cast this guy because he reminds me of Jimmy...I didnt want to cast other actors like Yelchin and Eisenberg because they dont have the Jimmy Olsen vibe

Zod - Clive Owen (Bourne identity,The international)or Rufus Sewell (A Knights Tale )

Extremely talented actor who reminds me of an older Batman...

This is one of the best Superman casts I've seen in awhile!
Jason Behr is Inspired.I prefer Cavill,though.
Rachel Mcdams or Olivia Wilde for Lois
DDD or Paul Bettany for Luthor.(Your other choices are great)

Not a bad fancast!

I did a Supes fancast with Matt Bomer
and Behr has the same problem for Superman
that Bomer has, they're both only 5'11".

Lately I have abandoned Bomer cuz I want
an old fashioned Superman who is older
and 6'3" tall like he's listed in his
official bio at DC.

Welling and Routh are both 6'3" and look
more impressive as Superman but they look
like kids from 90210! I hate 90210 casting
with a passion! If I had to choose an actor
from the 90210 vein I would pick Routh.

But Behr could surely pull it off because
he is a great actor! One of the more unsung
actors out there!

So good fancast all-in-all!

I love Jason Behr, but I don't see him as Superman, either. Height can be faked a bit, for film, but there's a certain mass or bulk -- physical presence, which I don't think is his. He's a fabulous actor, though, although I wish someone would do a better job of picking his roles! Definitely one of the Talented Unsung Brigade. (Like James Marsters, Michael Biehn, and Adrian Paul. Apparently only a$$----- are allowed to make it to the top.) (Great to see a movie with all of them in it, though -- that I would definitely fly across an ocean to see.)

Here's another selection, although hopefully not too tainted by comedy: Zachary Levi. (Since you've brought up Bomer, who is an amazing actor -- ZL worked with him in Chuck.)

Levi is 6'4", and he cleans up pretty nice! ;) He's really a 24 karat hunk, when not being geeked for the Buy More. He would be perfect for Superman, if I could wish that on any actor I liked. It might be nice to bring some comedy into the mix, and Levi can excel at both. (That's what made him and Bomer such a Dream Team -- need to see them paired up again!)

Love Bruce Campbell as Perry White! And I love the idea someone mentioned above about Paul Bettany as a villain -- always exciting to see someone cast against type and give them a chance to spread new wings, LOL.

Great choices for Lois Lane! Both are intelligent (refreshing change!) and strong, talented actors. If Emily Blunt were Lois, there would be no trouble at all imagining why Superman would continue to put up with her and try to save her a$$. (Why that picture of Blunt, though? It makes her look like a 45-year-old cocktail waitress!)

Great choices! What about James Marsters for a villain? (Still floating on the vision of all my favorite un-sung actors in the same movie -- a franchise! So there could be sequels!)

I forgot to point out that since Clark is supposed to be bumbling a bit, to preserve his double-identity, Levi is the perfect choice -- he's got that down in Chuck! He could be bumbling and clumsy, and then really transform as the serious SuperDude.
