UNKNOWN
Light flashed into Scudder’s eyes. Jesse was looking at him, a lamp shining at him.
Scudder: “Turn that thing off.”
James: “Okay.”
He did so.
James: “I want to know where you got that gun.”
Scudder: “Why, you want to tamper with it?”
James: “Yes.”
Scudder: “I’m no genius. Stole it from some guy, ‘bout a year ago.”
James: “Well, Mr. Scudder, let’s make a deal. You bring in the Flash, alive, and we let you go.”
Scudder: “With the gun?”
James: “No.”
Scudder: “Then you don’t have a deal.”
James: “You know, in some countries, your crimes are punishable by death. We could take your money, give you the gun, drop you somewhere, let you work like you have, exploit you, and let you die.”
Scudder: “That sounds elaborate.”
James: “It is. Now, your other option is to go without the gun.”
Scudder: “Fine.”
Jesse put the gun on the table.
James: “Enjoy.”
He walks out of the room.
James: “Should we tell him?”
We hear an African-American woman’s voice.
“Why shouldn’t we? It would help him.”
James: “Well...he could sell it, get out of the country, and he’s home free.”
“We won’t let him do that. You know what to do.”
James: “Hi.”
He walks towards Scudder, still sitting down. He goes behind him, and sticks a needle in his neck. Sam winces.
Scudder: “That hurt.”
BARRY’S HOUSE
Barry looks over the blueprints once more.
Barry: “What’s this thing even supposed to use? What does it do? Do you go through an alternate dimension? Through one portal, you go in. With two portals, you only go in a split second? Huh. Better write that down.”
He hears a knock on his door. Barry walks over, and opens it. Iris was standing there.
Barry: “Oh, um...hi.”
Iris: “Hi.”
Barry: “What are you doing here?”
Iris: “Well...I...he wants you.”
Barry: “What?”
He hears a weird sound, and a portal opens in the house. They both stare at it, as a time bomb comes through.
Barry: “RUN!!!”
He goes out the door, Iris in front of him. He jumps down a few stairs, and lands on his back. The house explodes. Barry’s ear starts ringing. He slowly gets up, weak from the explosion. He looks around.
Barry: “How did you know!?!”
...
Barry: “WHERE ARE YOU!?!”
“Right here.”
Mirror Master punches Barry’s jaw, and uppercuts him. Barry is knocked back, and kicked in the stomach. He clutches his stomach, and Scudder kicks his face, then grabbing him, and pushing him to the ground. He laughs.
Barry: “How did you know?”
MM: “Oh, it was simple. Government hired me to take you down. They asked for a soundbite of you. They were able to trace the voice back to you, a man who, apparently, worked for a guy in that field.”
He saw people running away. No one was around.
Barry: “Well, can’t hurt to beat you up.”
Scudder quickly pulls out his gun, and points it at Barry.
MM: “Make one move, and I’ll shoot. Y’know what’ll happen? You’ll be ripped apart, and-”
Iris socked him. He grabbed his jaw, and pointed at Iris, as Barry ran, at super speed, into him. He was knocked back, and opened a portal. He ran into it, and had it close. Barry looked at where the portal was.
Iris: “What the hell was that?”
Barry: “You said that he wanted me, how did you know?”
Iris: “I didn’t! I swear, I didn’t know what was going on. I just woke up with a sack over my head, and some guy was telling me to led him to Barry Allen. He had a gun. I heard two other people with guns. I’m sorry. Wait. You used-you’re-
She slapped him.
Iris: “You lied to me!”
Barry: “I barely knew you!”
Iris: “You asked me out!”
Barry: “Well, apparently it wasn’t a date.”
Iris: “Why would it be?”
Barry: “Seriously?”
Iris: “That doesn’t mean you didn’t-”
Barry: “You would have reported it! The story of the century! Barry Allen is the Flash.”
Iris: “I wouldn’t have done anything like that!”
Barry: “Okay, okay. Let’s just focus on the bigger picture here. The government is obviously after me, and they want Mirror Master to take me down. He knows my identity, which means he can get to either one of us at any time.”
Iris: “Do you know what’s up with the gun?”
Barry: “I had blueprints. from a professor, where I work. Burned down with the house. I made a copy, but that’s gone too. Maybe I should call-crap. My phone was in there. Crap. Everything was in there.”
Iris: “You can stay with me.”
Barry: “Okay. I’ll do that.”
KEYSTONE
Iris walks into a large apartment. She turns on the lights, and Barry follows.
Iris: “It’s not much, but it’s home.”
Barry: “It’s great.”
He smiles.
UNKNOWN
Scudder steps through a portal, and closes it. Jesse is waiting for him.
James: “Good job. You ran away, and revealed our involvement.”
MM: “I thought I would get him.”
James: “Oh did you? Then why did you run away if you’re so sure of yourself?”
MM: “I thought-”
James: “You thought? You thought? No you didn’t. You just took everything, and got rid of it. Allen knows everything now!”
MM: “It’s not my fault!”
James: “Why not!?!”
MM: “Fine. I’m sorry, blah blah blah.”
KEYSTONE UNIVERSITY
Barry runs through the halls, to Garrick’s office. He runs into him.
Barry: “Oh man. Oh man I am so sorry.”
Garrick: “Don’t be. It was an accident. I heard about what happened yesterday.”
Barry: “Oh, yeah. I have a question.”
Garrick: “Shoot.”
Barry: “Um...what material did you use? For the gun.”
Garrick: “Well, I’m not sure what it was called. It was a green, glowing crystal, I believe.”
Barry: “Okay. Where was it?”
Garrick: “It was on the top. Where you would put ammo, if there was any. A hatch. Lifted up, you put it in, connect a wire or two, and bam! You got a portal gun.”
Barry: “Thanks.”
Garrick: “No problem.”
In his lab, Barry pulls out a new cell phone.
Barry: “Okay, Iris it’s a green crystal that powers the gun. Okay?”
THE KEYSTONE NEWS
Iris: “Okay. You better not get me fired for this.”
She types in something on her laptop.
Iris: “Okay, looks like LexCorp used some of it. Um...not much else, except for that it’s been found all over Earth. And above it.”
KEYSTONE UNIVERSITY
Barry: “Okay. Thanks. Bye.”
He smiles, and continues with an experiment.
That Night
UNKNOWN
Scudder sits in a cell, bouncing a ball off of the wall.
A portal suddenly opens up, the ball going through one, and hitting him on the back of the head.
Scudder: “Lemme guess. Another mission?”
James: “That’s correct.”
He throws Scudder the gun. He smiles.
IRIS’ APARTMENT
Barry tosses a small device to Iris.
Barry: “It’s a communicator. In case I need you. Information, that kind of thing. Just put it in your ear.”
Iris: “Uh...thanks.”
Barry: “See ya.”
He zoomed to a closet, and zoomed back, in his costume. He then zoomed out of the apartment.
KEYSTONE
Flash zoomed through the streets. He went down an ally.
He was jumped.
Thug: “Big mistake!”
The thug punched him, again and again.
Thug: “Ha ha ha!”
His fist went down one more time, straight through Flash’s face.
Thug: “What the hell!?!”
Flash: “Yeah. I can vibrate my molecules. Solid matter can’t touch me.”
Thug: “I’ve never seen you do that before!”
He backed up against a wall.
Flash: “Well, y’know, it gives me a bloody nose.”
He went solid.
Flash: “Oh hey, look at that.”
Blood dripped down from his nostril. He smiled, and punched the thug, then uppercutting him, and running towards him, hitting him, and slamming him into the wall.
Flash: “See ya-”
He fell into the ground, and onto a rooftop.
Flash: “-obviously.”
Mirror Master kicked him, and grabbed Flash’s shoulders. He shoved him across the rooftop, and opened a portal. Flash fell through, into Mirror Master’s fist.
Flash: “Ow.”
Mirror Master kicked him through the portal again, and Flash landed on the rooftop, on his back.
Flash: “Double ow.”
He put his hand to his ear.
Flash: “Iris, um...I don’t know how to say this but, well, this isn’t fun.”
Mirror Master ran at Flash, who was getting up. He tackled him, and pushed him into a portal. Flash came out of another, and got up. He ran at Mirror Master, and punched him, sending him flying into a portal, zooming out the other. Flash turned around, slamming his fists into him. Scudder flew off the roof, screaming. He opened a portal on the ground, and went back onto the rooftop. He smiled.Flash zoomed towards him, slamming his fist into his face. Mirror Master stumbled back, was punched again, and uppercutted Flash. Flash kicked Scudder, and punched him through a portal. Scudder flew up out of one, and Flash zoomed at him, holding him. He zoomed across the rooftops.
Flash: “Now, are you going to be a good little super-villain and go to prison?”

Flash: “Oh hey, look at that.”
Government agents pointed guns at Flash. They surrounded him. He dropped Scudder, and put his hands in the air.
UNKNOWN
Agents lead Flash down a hallway. He enters a dark room. He puts his hand to his ear.
Flash: “Iris, I do’t no where I am, but the government has captured me. Don’t worry, I’m gonna break out. Just don’t freak out. Don’t call anyone, just say that I’m sick, and can’t go to work. I’m gonna get -”
“What’s that?”
Flash looks at James Jesse.
James: “I asked you a question.”
Flash: “That I’m not gonna answer.
James: “Wonderful. Barry, did she reply?”
Flash: “No.”
James: “Hmm. Would you like to see her?”
Flash: “What did you with her?”
James: “Would you like to see her?”
Flash: “What did you do with her!?!”
James: “She’s here, she’s safe, and she isn’t hurt. But would you like to see her?”
Flash: “No thanks.”
He punched Jesse, and zoomed through the wall.
Flash: “Crap, bloody nose!”
