First off, I take no credit for this video. I found it on Youtube and thought it was so awesome that I have to share it with all of you. As noted in the title, the chosen director for this is Darren Aronofsky, who has directed Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, and Black Swan. Here it is below:

Here is the cast for the film that the creator has chosen:

James Caviezel - Bruce Wayne / Batman
Bryan Cranston - Detective James Gordon
Liev Schreiber - District Attorney Harvey Dent
Chris Cooper - Commissioner Loeb
Jay Mohr - Detective Flass
Forest Whitaker - Little Al

Although Darren Aronofsky had been attached to direct the Batman reboot back in the early 2000's, the project eventually fell apart and from the ashes rose Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. He had been rumored to direct Watchmen and Man of Steel and had once been attached to direct The Wolverine before dropping out due to family matters. In my opinion, he would be a fantastic choice if they ever were to adapt Neil Gaiman's The Sandman.

Classy stuff. I like it alot but even though this is cool I don't want them to reboot Batman for a while. DC needs to focus their attention on other heroes other than Batman.

Yeah, I agree. Get a Flash, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman (to name a few) movie off the ground first, start to build a stable universe that doesn't rely on Superman or Batman. DC has a rich cast of characters they can choose from -- be a shame to waste all their talent on two about to be very overused characters.

I wouldnt might them doing a more comic oriented Batman movie next. Featuring more older, meaner and experienced Batman. Bats costume should be something like in Arkham Asylum games.

James Caviezel, Jon Hamm or Josh Brolin would be great choice for the lead.

Schumacher´s movies were too corny and Nolan´s movies has change too realistic in my taste. Batman Begins has been the best Batman so far and the main reason was the story and design of Gotham City.

Caviezel played Jesus, and so did Bale. Interesting. Even more interesting is that I prefer this 3 minute fan trailer to Nolan's bat-films.
