So, I finally decided to post this, have been sitting on this one for quite some time now. This is my second ever fancast. Some would have liked it to be Johnny Quest which is still in the works as they say but for now I give you a Masters of the Universe fancast. I hope you like it.

To begin with I’d imagine way more people know about He-Man than Centurions which was my previous endeavour.
Nonetheless, for those who don’t, the show’s introduction would suffice:

I am Adam. Prince of Eternia and defender of the secrets of Castle Grayskull. This is Cringer... my fearless friend. Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said...

By the power of Grayskull! I have the Power!

Cringer became the Mighty Battle Cat, and I became He-Man the most powerful man in the universe. Only a few others share this secret... Our friends: The Sorceress, Man-At-Arms and Orko. Together we defend Castle Grayskull from the evil forces of Skeletor.

My cast is as follows...

1. He-Man

Photobucket

Alexander Skarsgård: Okay, like many others over here, I’d have loved Chris Hemsworth to be He- Man. Unfortunately, he went ahead and did Thor after which I didn’t exactly feel like casting him in a somewhat similar role (okay, may be not that much). I feel I have a viable alternative in Skarsgård, famous for playing Eric Northman in True Blood. This role could well be the platform his career has been looking for. Agreed, he’d have to beef up quite a bit for the role, but hey, no one said it was going to be easy playing He-Man!

AS SEEN IN- Battleship, True Blood (TV Series)

2. Prince Adam

Photobucket

Jesse Spencer: Again, while some may go for the same actor or a visibly younger actor, I personally feel that someone who is leaner than Skarsgård and somewhat looks similar should do it. My choice is Jesse Spencer from House. He’s been around a long time and is pretty underrated and I guess, its time he did something bigger.

AS SEEN IN- House MD (TV Series)

3. Man-at-Arms

Photobucket

Jeffrey Dean Morgan: This guy just exudes charisma, doesn’t he? The way I picture Man-at-Arms, Ted Levine would be too old to play him. He should be one of the central characters of the movie and I think JDM is the man to do it.

AS SEEN IN- Watchmen, Supernatural (TV Series)

4. Teela

Photobucket

Amanda Righetti: She is my pick for Teela. She is a good actress-watched her in Mentalist, and her body structure means she can make those action scenes look believable unlike the many other borderline anorexic actresses talked about for this role.

AS SEEN IN- Friday the 13th, The Mentalist (TV Series)

5. Sorceress

Photobucket

Winona Ryder: She is a fantastic actress and is absolutely gorgeous. From where I see it, she would own the role.

AS SEEN IN- Star Trek, Black Swan

6. Stratos

Photobucket

Djimon Hounsou: Okay, Okay. Before you all get worked up seeing Hounsou cast as Stratos, give me a chance to explain myself. He is a good actor- I don’t think there are any qualms about that. And Stratos doesn’t necessarily have to be Caucasian. In fact, most of his body is, well, non human. So, as long as we have a talented and muscular actor such as Djimon playing the role, I think it’s going to work.

AS SEEN IN: Gladiator, Blood Diamond, Never Back Down, Push

7. Ram-Man

Photobucket

Liev Schreiber: I wanted someone big but not overly huge like say The Big Show for the role. Schreiber is one hell of an actor. I have a good feeling about this.

AS SEEN IN: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Salt, Repo Men

8.King Randor

Photobucket

Dolph Lundgren: The original He-Man returns!

AS SEEN IN: Universal Soldier, The Expendables, Masters of the Universe.

9. Queen Marlena

Photobucket

Sigourney Weaver: Ode to the genre, I’d say. And she looks the part.

AS SEEN IN: Alien Franchise, Avatar.

10. Orco

Photobucket

Ahmed Best: I was re-watching the Star Wars series that day and the irritating voice of Jar Jar Binks just kept reminding me of Orko.

AS SEEN IN: Star Wars Franchise

11. Skeletor

Photobucket

Viggo Mortensen: He is an awesome actor with a tremendous presence as seen is LoTR. There are few better who deserve to play the iconic villain.

AS SEEN IN: LoTR, Appaloosa, A Dangerous Method.

12. Evil-Lyn

Photobucket

Marion Coutillard: There is this mystique surrounding her that makes me think she could play pure evil just as easily as she played John Dillinger’s lover in Public Enemies.

AS SEEN IN: Inception, Public Enemies, TDKR.

13. Beastman

Photobucket

Ron Perlman: Cliché, huh? Well, can’t help it. He’s just too perfect.

AS SEEN IN: Hellboy, Conan the Barbarian.

14. Trap- Jaw

Photobucket

Dominic West: I find him to be an awesome actor who can actually make you hate him by pure acting brilliance. Welcome aboard, Trap-Jaw!

AS SEEN IN: 300, John Carter. The Wire (TV Series)

15. Tri-Klops

Photobucket

Ray Park: Probably casted him on impulse once I saw Tri-Klops wielding a sword. But now I do think he’d be a damn good choice for Tri-Klops.

AS SEEN IN: GI Joe, X-Men, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

16. Mer-Man

Photobucket

James Frain: Watched The Cape sometime back (Don’t do it, isn’t worth it) and Frain’s psychotic villain Chess just stuck a chord. He’d make for a good Mer-Man, I believe.

AS SEEN IN: Tron: Legacy, The Cape (TV Series)

That would be all. Looking forward to hearing what you all think.

Alexander Skarsgård is a good choice, but he would need to build his back.
I don't feel Jesse Spencer as Adam. The actor should be younger.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an awesome choice.
Amanda Righetti is an ok choice.
Winona Ryder is a good choice.
Stratos is interesting, but I don't feel it.
Liev Schreiber is an interesting choice. I think someone closer to wresler or somethin like that big would be better.
Dolph Lundgren, ugh. The original He-Man returns? Is that suppose to be a good thing?
Sigourney Weaver is a great choice.
Ahmed Best is totally Orko, but when I remember Jar Jar Binks I.......I just.........just can't.
The villains are gold.
Good cast.

Honestly I think they should get rid of the whole prince adam transforming in to He-Man schtick yes it might blaspehmous but its possible the masters of the universe script that is out there on the internet some where was pretty god damn good a proper epic it should follow it. Any ways the cast it self is pretty good so well done

Overall decent choices. JDM as Man At Arms, Cotillard as Evil-Lyn, Perlman as Beastman and Frain as Mer-Man are my favorites.

Im not against the race change of Stratos but i think Djimon should play Zodac if anyone in the movie. I´ve always seen him in that role. He would be perfect.

I think Joe Manganiello would be cool Stratos.

is Ram-Man the older brother of X2's Juggernaut? Weird!!

Skaargards is a great, older He-Man, I also like the populat Armi Hamme for the role but am glad to see a new pick for my childhood favorite toy. Love The return of Lugred who is outstanding as the king.

Ram-Man Triclops and Beastman could be different but im loving the whole thing. You've went with quality over appearance. good call.

No, great call!!!!!

Not too shabby!

I agree with the others here about losing the
transformation and just make HE-MAN, HE-MAN!

JESSE SPENCER is a bit too old for PRINCE ADAM
and a little too small.

All-in-all not bad!

The fact that WB never went ahead with that script proves how [frick]ing retarded they are, it might have not been like any of the animated versions of the show but [frick]ing hell was it god damn awesome, right director and right actors would have made it a pretty good movie out of it. But leave it to WB to allow something so good slip there grasps

Thank you all for the feedback.

@MrSuperheromoviefan- Skarsgård definitely has to buff up for the role a la Hemsworth and more recently Cavill (For Supes)though he has a good body structure and should be able to pretty easily. Once he does that, he'd look the part to the T.
Lundgren has to be there IMO. Its not a sequel or anything of the previous movie so not related in that way.
Honestly I really don't want to involve wrestlers unless it's The Rock or Austin, who I think is pretty good keeping a straight face while doing serious action (way better than Nic Cage).
Thank you. I like the villains myself.

@Hellsing- I can understand the people's aversion to the idea of Adam being there in the movie. Adam's presence goes in the direction of cheesy rather than dark. For the fancast, I stayed as true as I could with the animated universe so he's there.
It was disapointing that WB let it go. Then again, they let JL: Mortal go, and found a perfect Supes in return and whenever they go back to the project again, they'll have more vision.

@nowtheresaBATman- Thank you.
All said and done though, Hemsworth would have made a rocking He-Man.

@TheSoulEater- I politely disagree!

@Alex-Thank you.
Personally, Cliff Curtis remains my choice for Zodac... in fact I'll add him or something.
Joe Manganiello would be an uber cool Tarzan and my first choice for Capt. Planet! LOL

@ager- Thank you. I know it isn't as exacting as your Alfred fancast but I tried.
Hammer never quite gave me that He-Man vibe. For some reason, I'll continue seeing Superman in him.

@DDD- Thanks man.
Honestly, coming from you, I'm delighted with "Not too shabby!"
Though Jesse Spencer is as old as Skarsgard and we aren't exactly talking Captain Marvel over here. But I agree in concept with the No Transformation thing.
No FIVE SKULLS then? xD

PS: If you won't mind checking out the "See also".

Wow! Very nice cast I agree with everything accept ur He-Man, Adam n Randor choices, personally speaking I'd go with Chris Hemsworth as He-Man, Liam Hemsworth as Adam n Liam Neeson as Randor, but ignoring that solid cast looks like it could be fun lol
