FANCAST: Captain America 2: Passage of Time

FANCAST: Captain America 2: Passage of Time

The eleventh and final lead in fan cast for my big THE AVENGERS fan cast, coming at the end of the month! Following the praised fan casts of CAPTAIN AMERICA, ANT-MAN, THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN, THE MIGHTY THOR, HULK and more, comes CAPTAIN AMERICA 2: PASSAGE OF TIME.

Giffy here! I took a little break from my fan casts, but I wanted to come back with a big one, so here is CAPTAIN AMERICA 2: PASSAGE OF TIME! BLACK WIDOW was the last fan cast I did, and it didn't receive much feedback and in hindsight it was my least favorite of all of them, so hopefully I can impress some more of you with this one, so let's get to my picks!

Please leave a comment giving your criticism of my casting choices, I want to know what you think of them and what I could do for future fan casts.

CHRIS PINE - STEVE ROGERS/CAPTAIN AMERICA: Captain America needs to be played by a young actor with a strong leadership presence, and physicality is also a big factor. Chris Pine reprises the role here, as Pine can get big and has the chops to portray Cap.

DIANE KRUGER - PEGGY CARTER: Diane Kruger returns as Peggy Carter, for she will be a very important part of this fan cast as she will soon be Cap's long lost love.

KATE BECKINSALE - MADAME HYDRA: I wanted a female to be the antagonist of this film, so I went with Madame Hydra. Eva Green was my original pick, but I have another role I want to cast Green as in my Phase II of my MCU, so I went with Kate Beckinsale. It would be interesting to see Kate in a villain role here, and she would be at least good in the role.

DREW ROY - JAMES "BUCKY" BARNES: Cap's best friend, Bucky, is of course back in this one reprised by Drew Roy. He is in The Howling Commandos with Cap, Dum Dum Dugan, Gabe Jones, Jim Morita and Union Jack. He will "die" in this one as well.

MICHAEL EMERSON - ARNIM ZOLA: Arnim worked behind the scenes of CAPTAIN AMERICA with Red Skull (Ralph Fiennes), but that isn't revealed until this one when he is now working for HYDRA. Emerson just has that real creepy look, and his acting can be just as off putting, and I wanted Arnim Zola to be creepy. Emerson also resembles Arnim from the comics, so it all works out.

LEE PACE - MONTGOMERY FALSWORTH/UNION JACK: Lee Pace returns as Union Jack, who is now in The Howling Commandos.

J.K. SIMMONS - DUM DUM DUGAN: Dum Dum is the most prominent member of The Howling Commandos, so I wanted to cast a known actor. I recentley saw The Ladykillers, and in the film Simmons had Dum Dum's signature mustache and I was convinced he would be a great choice to play him.

TAYE DIGGS - GABE JONES: Taye Diggs has enough resemblance to the character to play him, so I went with Diggs.

BD WONG - JIM MORITA: Not a lot of thought had to be put into this casting choice, Morita is a member of The Howling Commandos, and isn't particularly well known. I simply saw a picture of Morita in a comic and thought BD Wong looked just like him, and he is a good actor so I went with him.

BRYAN CRANSTON - NICK FURY: Bryan Cranston reprises Nick Fury again, as he will appear to welcome Cap to modern times at the end.

RYAN McPARTLIN - CLAY QUARTERMAIN: Ryan McPartlin reprises Clay Quartermain, as he will appear alongside Fury in the modern day bookend.

Giffy out! Make sure you watch out for THE AVENGERS within the next week!

I don't understand the obsession over Pine as cap? He doesn't fit it the character I think he would be better for cocky role like hawkeye

Great Dugan! But I agree, Pine fits more as Hawkeye

I'm going to have to agree with the others here,
PINE fits better for HAWKEYE but I could live
with him as CAP.

Your QUARTERMAIN choice is my own personal choice
for CAPTAIN AMERICA. But he also makes a tall dashing
CLAY QUARTERMAIN.

The rest are quite fitting and well-cast.

CRANSTON would make a great FURY. I really like that
idea!

JK as DUGAN is gangbusters!

Your BUCKY is downright original and I really like
that actor in the FALLING SKIES TV show on TNT.

This is a very well-done and nice casting!
