Fancast of Justice League

Fancast of Justice League

There are many fancasts of Justice League all around. This is my dream cast with fusion of actors from significant tv series and movies.

There have been a wave of fan-casts all over the place about JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. This is mine which I don't claim is perfect or something but I hope is a well managed fusion of fresh faces from the world of tv series and some actors who have made a name for themselves but still not obvious choices yet!

SUPERMAN-HENRY CAVILL

Well to be honest I was sad to hear this announcement when I thought of his rigid acting in THE TUDORS at first, but I came to terms with time. Though the movie MAN OF STEEL is a hub of controversies and a material to manifest the ire in many fans, yet I think that, as a modern age Superman he is quite well. Another fact is that we cant change him now at this point, so let's not conjure up a new name for this role!

BATMAN- BEN AFFLECK

This casting also triggered mixed responses in my mind but I can't deny the perks of having a great actor like Affleck in the roster. As much as I would have liked to see Tyler Hoyechlin to embody a younger version of Batman, Affleck provides a certain experience to the pool of actors and packs with him certain directorial angles that can actually help the movie find a much better foothold. Also with somehow an experienced Batman, the probabilities of a team with Nightwing also emerges that I welcome with much excitement.

WONDER WOMAN- GAL GADOT

Well now I would sound like a total confused person 'cause I had mixed response to this one too. I was one of those fans who direly wanted Jaimie Alexander to helm the character of the Amazonian princess but when this casting announcement was made, after a little whining and all I accepted this one too. She is beautiful beyond any doubt and quite accustomed to action movies as we have seen in the FAST series. So I have my fingers crossed on this one turning out to be a decent portrayal of the character and strong enough to lead onto solo ventures for Wonder Woman.

GREEN ARROW- STEPHEN AMELL

Yes, I am clearing out the names first that are already in motion and I am all in for DC cinematic universe to uphold the characterisations in ARROW tv series. Why should a sane person miss out an opportunity to use a good thing that has already been made and can boost the story-lines quite a way ahead? Individual acting might not get this actor to the doorstep of this cast but as per execution, the character has proved itself quite worthy and for those who think what can he contribute to the team of such magnificent superheroes, my answer is...he can be an asset to the team! Batman is also not a superhuman but his abilities speaks for the character. Let that be the case of Green Arrow too and he can take on the responsibility of all matters about taking all these individual heroes and getting them to work together as a team(yes, quite like Nick Fury but not as someone who gives orders).

BLACK CANARY- CAITY LOTZ/KATIE CASSIDY

My argument for this casting is same as the one before and reason for giving two names is that I would go with any version as it turns out with gradual progression of the tv series. As of this moment Caity Lotz dons the costume but rumours and speculations are floating around that somehow Dinah Laurel Lance will be established as THE Black Canary later.

FLASH- GRANT GUSTIN

Well this person with his much adorable weirdness made the fans believe that Barry Allen can be portrayed in live action. Expectations are at peak about the upcoming tv series and I think if this tv series makes a name for itself, it can save a lot of time and money too for the cinematic universe by avoiding the process of establishing the character from scratch again. The amount of enthusiasm this tv series(that is yet in its nascent stage) has been showered upon can actually do some good for the cinematic universe. His acting can provide aptly the well balanced comic relief in the movie and I hope he will be able to hold his own in his solo series.

NOW COMING TO THE ONES THAT ARE ACTUALLY FAN-FIC:-

GREEN LANTERN(HAL JORDAN)- DANIEL FEUERRIEGEL

As Agron in renowned tv series SPARTACUS, this actor has caught my eye and thus made a place in my cast. His physique and looks resemble the Emerald Knight quite well and he can provide much awaited fresh breeze in the gloom of obvious choices. Movies based on comic book characters rely a lot on the story and execution and not an engulfing responsibility falls upon the shoulders of the actors to deliver an OSCAR winning performance or something. As much as renowned actors might seem the way to go for this character but in a movie where the team is highlighted with utmost importance, he can nail the character quite well(my personal viewpoint) and as for solo ventures, a taste of of the group movie can actually groom him for those which probably lies way ahead in the future after much discussed movies like WONDER WOMAN and FLASH.

GREEN LANTERN(JOHN STEWART)- CHARLES MICHAEL DAVIS

There have been speculations and suggestions all around about ditching HAL JORDAN from the movies and going forward with the John Stewart version of Green Lantern. Personally I think that Hal Jordan is an integral part of the Green Lantern story arcs but I would like John Stewart too to be in the movies. Idris Elba is the obvious fan choice for the role. But as I said, I am all in for actors from tv series. Charles Michael Davis has done a good job in the tv series THE ORIGINALS as Marcel. He has convincingly stood up against the "big bad wolf" Klaus there and thus proving himself capable of protraying important characters. John Stewart needs a person who can show compassion and strength side by side and so this is my choice.

AQUAMAN- ALEX PETTYFER/DUSTIN CLARE

At first let's clear the point why I have two choices.
Aquaman is a colourful character. While every other major Leaguers is a dweller of the surface world, he belongs to Atlantis and comes from royalty down there. If the movies go for his days as Prince and happens to chose the New 52 version then like many fans I also hope to see Alex Pettyfer
in the role. He has a price-like charm in him and quite matches the looks. As for Dustin Clare, I chose him if the movies opt for his King version and happens to prefer the long haired Aquaman with ferocious attributes. As Gannicus, the actor has proven his worth and will be a treat to watch him with the trident!

SHAZAM- CHANNING TATUM

A God is needed in the Justice League movie for sure. The might and interesting story this character can pack is unparalleled. His selection opens up a very good villain prospect too in Black Adam. And as for the cast I have to go with Channing Tatum as he resembles the looks of the character and can also embody the childish nature of Billy Batson in his grown up avatar. This child inside must be an important feature to set him apart from the other characters, so as much as there are better actors for our own 'ZEUS', Tatum can do justice to both the personalities.

CYBORG- CHADWICK BOSMAN

He is another fan favourite actor to portray the character of Cyborg. I am swayed by his acting in "42" and find myself without any reason to think anyone else. The actor can portray a fusion of hothead person in late teens and responsibility as a superhero aptly.

MARTIAN MANHUNTER- PETER MENSAH

Besides Cyborg in the league, I also want this character as he has a very interesting storyline and whole "neighbour alien" vibe. He has a leader like nature in him and so renders himself crucial to the line-up. Peter Mensah is too a fan favourite for this character and its so fitting. In Oenamaus he has already helmed the wisdom of a mentor and fire of a gladiator himself and so I think he will be the perfect choice.

HAWKMAN- LUKE EVANS

Every team needs their fair share of brains and brutes. Hawkman is a powerful character and a formidable member of the league. His presence can bring the story of star-crossed lovers in two fighters and who won't want to see him tearing skulls apart with his mace? Luke Evans is a prominent name in the industry right now and can portray the attitude spot on.

HAWKGIRL- LAUREN COHAN

Hawkgirl became one of the most important leaguers at a time and with John Stewart angle, she is much needed. The whole furious angelic persona makes her a dynamic piece in the puzzle. Lauren Cohan as MAGGIE GREENE in THE WALKING DEAD has done a pretty good job. She has attracted every eye with her beauty and action skills too.

NIGHTWING- NATHANIEL BUZOLIC

Nightwing is a character who is direly necessary for anticipating the age of Batman in the movie. The character has enough spice in him to get a solo movie also and can bring much needed balance of human characters between all the dreamy ones. Nathaniel Buzolic as KOL MIKAELSON in THE VAMPIRE DIARIES has catched my eye and he can nail the "damaged" personality of Dick Grayson pretty well. The character is not all simple with his realistic approaches to the cruel world and thus an actor is needed who can show the complexity well enough.

It's probably worth bringing up that the creators of Arrow and the upcoming Flash show have confirmed that their Arrow and Flash will not be apart of the cinematic universe

Contemporary industry is getting swarmed by talented black actors gradually. Place should be given to them, but to do so, story-lines and the character myth can't be altered hugely! MM is a character who will actually get green animated layer anyway...so why not improvise and give chance to a black actor?

Charles Michael Davis would be a pretty awesome John Stewart. He's pretty badass on The Originals.
