These animated tales tell the stories of Natasha Rominoff and Clint Barton before the Avengers Initiative

The movie, to me, makes more sense as animation. There is a plenty to tell and I'm sure Marvel doesn't want to over-saturate the big scrren with too much Marvel and kill future projects.

This is a great way to get the story out there and keep in in continuation.

Again, this is a prelude to everything we've seen in the theater., including the sequels that I have fancast as well

SHIELD FILES: Black Widow the Animated Movie

Black Widow: Before I worked for SHIELD, I uh...well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skillset. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on SHIELD's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me, he made a different call.

THE STORY

Genetically altered for optimum tactical force, she is raised from birth by the U.S.S.R.'s "Black Widow Ops" program, led by Ivan Petrovitch and funded by HYDRA. She is engineered to be lightweight and short to aid in stealth, to be very attractive, to sway the hearts of her male athletes, and whatever else they can think of, I guess.

She is trained in combat and espionage at the covert "Red Room" facility.

Viper, The Winter Soldier and ex-SHIELD agent, Tony Masters, train the Black Widow.

She can never best any of the 3 in battle.

As Natasha walks in, she alerts her superiors that Dr. Drakoff has been terminated.

The response ***** all in Russian**** "And what of any loose ends? What of his daughter?"

"I took care of her. Sold her to the underground traders."

"She's only 7."

"Not my problem sir. She'll be very profitable as a slave."

"And the hospital, is there evidence/"

"Burned it. a few may have survived, but that's their problem too, not mine,"

"You're a machine, Widow, We are proud."

Upon her return, not able to rest, Natasha is sent on a mission to steal the legendary shield of Captain America from SHIELD in order to acquire knowledge of vibranium before attacking Wakanda for it's resource.

Yelena Belova, a young woman who was secretly raised as another Black Widow learns of the existence of Natasha and many other Black Widows. Yelena, obsessed with being the sole Black Widow, encounters Natasha, while on her mission in the US, and tries to kill her after already hunting down and killing every other Widow.

HYDRA sends the trainers, HYDRA's elite trio, to find and kill the 2 women, eradicating the
existence of the program.

Petrovitch is ordered dead.

SHIELD sends out a task force consisting of Barton, Grant, and Drew led by Coulson to kill Natasha.

Coulson and the others learn of Yelena, who is tailing Natasha, and aim to kill her as well.

What we have is both HYDRA and SHIELD trying to kill both Yelena and Natasha who are both trying to kill each other.

Agents Danvers, Hill, Carter, Nelson and Wilson are sent in as back up once SHIELD realizes how many operatives are involved in all of this.

Yelena evades the SHIELD operatives only to be caught and tortured by Viper. She breaks out and kills her swiftly, not slowing down her hunt for Romanoff.

Romanova does get the shield without being caught by SHIELD, stalked by The Winter Solder.

One can sense the fear she has of WS as he stalks her. ** in Russian** "My love, it is with great regret, that I must kill you. For Russia."

Meanwhile, Hill's group rendezvous with Coulson's and fights off HYDRA with SHIELD solders backing them up. Coulson calls for the top agents to split, sending Hill with Grant and Nelson after Yelena and himself with Barton and Danvers after Natasha. Wilson, Drew and Carter lead the agents in a deadly battle of survival against HYDRA, who, themselves, are split between SHIELD and locating the Widows.

This is where we get to see Carter, a powered up Drew and Wilson shine.

Yelena walks right into Natasha and WS and all 3 fight. Coulson and his team find the trio and, in the commotion, the Widows escape. Coulson proves himself a badass when he and Danvers go toe to toe with WS. Barton trails the Widows.

Once the Widows are cleared, they commence in battling one another.

Hill, Grant and Nelson come across Masters first, rather than Yelena. Masters effortlessly kills Nelson and, at that moment, we learn Nelson is Grant's husband. We also learn, through mock conversation, that Masters trained Hill and would, perhaps, have been Fury's #2. He escapes "Onward with the mission and what have you." he quips.

Yelena and Natasha duke it out with Natasha barely winning and the death of Yelena. Barton arrives to complete his mission and kill Natasha, who is barely alive.

Masters swoops in and brags that she is his kill. Barton and Masters go at it but Masters gets the upper hand and before the killing blow, he is shot with 3 simultaneous bullets. Out from the crevices walk Hill, Coulson and Fury who bicker about which bullet killed him. Coulson, under his breathe mentions WS got away, again.

With all 4 standing over Widow, Barton begs them not to kill her. If they can reform him than they can do the same for her.

The end is her acceptance within SHIELD, all are happy save Grant, who blames her for her husbands death.

After everyone walks away, Grant turns to Fury "I want to enter the program. Agents Wilson and Drew have excelled. I want to be the next subject. I've earned it."
Fury to Grant "Very well, but 1st things 1st. I have meeting with General Ross, whom we've funded; he has a "problem" involving one of his lead scientists and gamma radiation, he says."

Back to Natasha, THE Black Widow as she finds Barton and asks for his help in finding a young girl, the daughter of a doctor.
Barton to Widow "1st, we head to Wakanda. Intel suggests even without Captain America's shield, HYDRA is on it's way to take any vibranium they can with extreme force."

Just as DC Comics does DC Showcase, a 10 minute cartoon such as Green Arrow, Catwoman or Jonah Hex, I'd like Marvel to Showcase, after this 80 minute movie, Coulsin.

THE PREMISE

1990, Coulsin graduates from SHIELD's academy and teams with another rookie, Agent Tony Masters, led by Clay Quartermain. Their mission is to investigate the Roxxon Energy Corporation. There is indication that REC may be working with Obadiah Stane and HYDRA.

HYDRA member Eric Williams, a Roxxon experiment gone bad, is sent to kill the SHIELD agents. In full get-up thanks to Roxxon.

They are the perfect "buddy cop" team.

They receive high rewards for their work. Each proves to be extremely impressive.

Towards the end, after they shut REC down, Masters swipes some experimental needles and injects himself.

THE END

THE VOICE CAST FOR BLACK WIDOW
(modeled after the actors portraying the roles in the live action movies in the style of Wolverine and the X-Men)

Olga Kurylenko as Natasha Romanoff/Romanova (Black Widow)
Known for
007
The actress perfectly nails Romanova's accent as she herself was born in Berdyansk, Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union).

Vladimir Kulich as Ivan Petrovitch
Known for
13th Warrior
The deep, gravelly voice of Kulich is perfect for this role.

Emma Roberts as Yelena Belova (Black Widow 2)
Known for
Scream
I really love her as an actress and, though I base this off of no proven Russian accent, I think she'd be great for it.

Eliza Dushku as Ophielia Sarkissian (Madame Viper/HYDRA)
Known for
Buffyverse
Having one of the most sultry voices in Hollywood, the VA for Catwoman could slither smoothly into the role of HYDRA's deadliest woman. All she needs to is add a Euro style voice and she's be great.

Wlliam Fichtner as Tony Masters (Taskmaster)
Known for
Call of Duty
His voice is so smarmy, and edgy you just believes he thinks he's the best at everything. Fichtner could very well be the break out star of this animated film.

Josh Hartnett as Winter Soldier
Known for
30 Days of Night
There is an equal amount of youth and experience that he carries through his voice. The 4 stars of these films are Natasha "Black Widow", Agent Clint Barton, Agent Phil Coulson and the Winter Soldier

Thomas Haden Church as Agent Phil Coulson
Known for
Spider-Man
I was looking for an actor with a calm, collected voice that exudes control. Originally, I was going to use Bryan Cranston but I didn't want to ave him compared to Jim Gordon, that, and I already chose Year One's Catwoman.

Rachel Nichols as Agent Carol Danvers
Known for
GI Joe
Although she does not have a memorable voice and odds are many wouldn't even know who voiced the character, I just felt that she should be given her do since she would make a great live action Danvers.

Emmanuelle Chriqui as Agent Sharon Carter
Known for
You Don't mess with the Zohan
A young, graceful voice that depicts youthful energy and a toughness that proves she belongs.

Vin Diesel as Agent Sam Wilson
Known for
Fast series
The ultra hardened voice of Riddick is ideal for the gritty soldier. With no time to emphasize why a WWII legend like Cap calls him a partner, Diesel's voice carries a heavy task.

Neve Campbell as Greer Grant
Known for
Scream
Sure, I may have another Scream alumni, but that is purely coincidental. Campbell has such an emotional depth to her voice that when Grant husband dies and she opts to be "mutated" it must handled with loads of emotion. Even though it's clearly Black Widow's movie, this moment speaks volumes and translates well into the live action moment/character of Tigra.

Phil LaMarr as Agent Bill Nelson
Known for
50% of the voices you hear when you watch animation
It's by know means a cop out to use the VA as Nelson. I did figure since I already booked him as the voice of Beta Ray in Thor 2 he could effortlessly transition to here. It's a bit part that serves a strong purpose.

Michelle Ryan as Agent Jessica Drew
Known for
Bionic Woman
in a case similar to, I believe, many of the casting decisions behind DC animation, I am taking the same route here as I did with casting Nichols as Danvers. Ryan is the most popular choice for Drew, though I cast Blunt, whom I like better, in the live action, and therefor opted to use her in this animation.

*** from Josh Wilding@

Olivia Wilde as Maria Hill
Known for
Tron
She has a straight forward voice with a slight rasp that would translate perfectly. I see Hill as in charge and ready to take charge with a tiny hint of self doubt.

Jake Gyllenhaal as Agent Clint Barton
Known for
Prince of Persia
1 of 2 perfect voices for the part. I chose him as Ackles was yet another alumni from DC comics I didn't want to use.

Ving Rhames as Director Nick Fury
Known for
Undisputed
Find a better voice. I dare you.

THE VOICE CAST FOR COULSON (same style)

Thomas Haden Church as Agent Phil Coulson
Known for
Spider-Man
I was looking for an actor with a calm, collected voice that exudes control. Originally, I was going to use Bryan Cranston but I didn't want to ave him compared to Jim Gordon, that, and I already chose Year One's Catwoman.

Wlliam Fichtner as Tony Masters (Taskmaster)
Known for
Call of Duty
His voice is so smarmy, and edgy you just believes he thinks he's the best at everything. Fichtner could very well be the break out star of this animated film.

Ving Rhames as Director Nick Fury
Known for
Undisputed
Find a better voice. I dare you.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Eric Williams (Grim Reaper)
Known for
Watchmen
The angry, deep voice will echo in the heads of his enemies for a long time.

Jeffrey Donovan as Agent Clay Quartermain
Known for
Burn Notice
This is a spot on choice for Quatermain. He could play this role just as perfect in live action as well.

FANCAST: SHIELD FILES: HAWKEYE THE ANIMATED MOVIE & MARVEL SHOWCASE HAWKEYE AND BLACK WIDOW: WAKANDA

SHIELD FILES: HAWKEYE THE ANIMATED MOVIE

Clint Barton joined the Carson Carnival of Travelling Wonders. Clint soon caught the eye of Buck "Trick Shot" Chisholm, who trained Clint to become a master archer. Clint later found him embezzling money from the carnival. Before he could turn his mentor over to the authorities, Clint was beaten and left for dead, allowing Trick Shot to skip town.

Clint adapted his archery skills to become the star carnival attraction, a master archer called "Hawkeye", otherwise known as “The World’s Greatest Marksman”.

Eventually, Barton grew tired of the carnival life and left to find true income.

Self-made man, Darren Agonistes Cross, created and headed his company, Cross Technological Enterprises, and made it a success to rival the top competitors. However, Darren was diagnosed with cancer. He used his own technology to create a experimental nucleorganic devise to save his life. Although a success, the nucleorganic devise mutated Darren's body from the inside. Cross constantly needed new organs in order to sustain, as his cancer would eat away at the new organs after a few weeks.

Desperate, he kidnapped a surgeon, Doctor Erica Sondheim, to replace his damaged organs. He also kidnapped 'donors' from slums.

A number of burglaries had occurred at C.T.E., despite the company's belief that their security systems was impenetrable. Barton sensed an opportunity. K.H. Keeshan, a high level employee in the company, hired him to uncover the mystery behind the burglaries. Barton soon discovered that the burglaries were being committed by Georges Batroc and easily captures the fool but never learns of the kidnapping. Barton's odd choice of weaponry: a crossbow.

During this time, Barton meets Barbara Morse, posing as a secretary for CTE, revealing later that she is an undercover agent sent by SHIELD to uncover the truth behind the kidnappings.

Barton learns she is an operative and, believing his company are the good guys and she is clearly out to get CTE, he attacks and barely outdoes her. During her arrest by C.T.E. security forces she tries to convince Barton of the truth to no avail.

Barton conducts his own investigation into the company. He is then captured. Together, after months of torture and imprisonment, Barton and Morse manage to escape and set out to learn the truth behind Cross Technological Enterprises. They discover what Cross has been doing. The 2 find and rescue Dr Sondheim.

During the melee, Cross lifts his weapon to fire at an unsuspecting and distracted Barton when Morse leaps over, grabs an arrow from Barton and flings it through the chest of Cross, killing him.

They take out security and escape returning a shaken Sondheim, thankful to her normal life. Morse and Barton leave everything behind and are now on the run from SHIELD due to the murder of Cross.

They isolate themselves in the Canadian Rockies.

They are found by Agents Masters and Quatermain.

They corner the couple and ask Morse to turn Barton over. Her refusal sparks Masters to shoot at her. Quatermain argues with his partner as the protagonists escape. Gunfire can be heard from a distance by the runaways.

Quatermain id dead.

Masters tracks them before they reach the bottom of the mountain and demands Morse and Barton pay. He reveals that he was getting paid to throw SHIELD off of CTE's track and that his benefactor is now dead.

Masters outfights both of them and fires a killing blow at Barton. Morse dives in front of the gunfire, taking her own life to protect his, and dies in his arms

Masters leaves unchallenged. Barton turns himself in and when questioned by Agent Coulson, he offers his services to pay his debt, never revealing Morse as the killer.

HAWKEYE CAST

Jake Gyllenhaal as Agent Clint Barton
Known for
Prince of Persia
1 of 2 perfect voices for the part. I chose him as Ackles was yet another alumni from DC comics I didn't want to use.

Call of Duty
His voice is so smarmy, and edgy you just believes he thinks he's the best at everything. Fichtner could very well be the break out star of this animated film.

Woody Harrelson as Buck "Trick Shot" Chisholm
Known for
Zombieland
He has a very distinct, slimy voice that could sound as inviting as it does treacherous.

Erica Durance as Agent Barbara Morse
Known for
Smallville
Arguably one of the favorites of the show, Durance conveyed a variety of emotion in every line. I'd love the reaction from fans if she voiced Morse.

Nolan North as Darren Cross
Known for
the other 1/2 of the voices you hear when you watch animation.
He is considered Animation's leading man, having done so many iconic voices.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Doctor Erica Sondheim
Known for
Grease 2 =)
Sure, Pfieffer is an amazing actress, one of the best, and has timeless beauty, a pointless argument for voice work, but, more important is the fact that marvel would be kicking dirt in DC's face by taking another iconic DC related actor'actress and using it to stamp a place in animation; a place DC topples the competition.

Christopher Walken as Georges Batroc
Known for
needing more cow bells
A throw-away villain who causes little to no problem for our hero, Batroc is foolish, laughable crook.

MARVEL SHOWCASE HAWKEYE AND BLACK WIDOW: WAKANDA

Hawkeye and Black Widow race to stop HYDRA from stealing vibranium by any means necessary. They are aided by the King of Wakanda, the Black Panther.

HYDRA is led by Ulysses Klaw. In the havoc, Wakanda is attacked by Man-Ape in order to usurp T'Challa's throne.

Panther makes an off-handed comment about how much easier his father had it, having only to deal with Woo and Walker rather than these 2.

CAST

Jake Gyllenhaal as Agent Clint Barton
Known for
Prince of Persia
1 of 2 perfect voices for the part. I chose him as Ackles was yet another alumni from DC comics I didn't want to use.

Olga Kurylenko as Natasha Romanoff/Romanova (Black Widow)
Known for
007
The actress perfectly nails Romanova's accent as she herself was born in Berdyansk, Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union).

Michael Emerson as Ulysses Klaw
Known for
Person of Interest
He has a very edgy, scary, imbalance in his voice. He, to me, is the American Jeremy Irons. I believe his voice is that powerful.

Christopher Judge as T'Challa/Black Panther
Known for
StarGate
He has a very regal voice that no one can deny. He even voiced Magneto in Wolverine. He would be the perfect Panther voice in this showdown. It's no wonder every Wakandan would follow his every word.

Kevin Drevioux as Man-Ape

Known for

Underworld

The voice of Solomon Grundy would not only make for an outstanding voice over in this animation but would serve just as well in a live action movie. With talk of such a thing happening, it could be a possibility.

This is great and all, but why not bring back the actual actors who portray the characters onscreen to voice them?
FlixMentallo21
FlixMentallo21 - 6/24/2012, 7:10 PM
And why Vin Diesel as the voice of the Falcon? Falcon's African-American. For him, use the voice actor used in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, since he happens to be Lance Reddick.

i was trying to be realistic in that they are only contracted for so many movies and i didnt want to take up a spot with animation. sort of like Gotham Knight. it's in Nolanverse continuation but different voice actors.

thanks

I was starting to cast from Earth's Mightiest when I realized how dull and unoriginal that was. Hell, they, at least Tony Stark's VA, was meant to sound just like the real lifers but I thought I'd go this rout and pick originals.

And the story itself? Also I'd love to hear ur opinion on the VA's, knowing my logic

All I have to say is this about your choice of VA's--that is a LOT of A and B-listers you've chosen.
