Fancast: The Fantastic Four

Fancast: The Fantastic Four

My latest fancast, based on the renown super hero team, their enemies and a few allies.

THE TEAM:

Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards - Adrien Brody (Predators, The Pianist)

It's my understanding that he's being considered for the role in Fox's pending reboot, and for good reason. The guy has some serious acting chops and, with short hair of course, I can definitely see him in the role sometime down the road.

Others I considered: None

Invisible Woman/Sue Storm - Diane Kruger (Unknown, Troy)

I see a lot of people want Charlize Theron for the role, but I decided to go a little more original. I like Kruger as an actor in the little bit of her I've seen, and to me she seems like a great choice for Invisible Woman.

Others I considered: Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron

Human Torch/Johnny Storm - Chris Pine (Star Trek, Just My Luck)

Chris Evans is pretty hard to replace, IMO. He really represented that smart-a$$ attitude, and after seeing Star Trek 2009, I can see Chris Pine do a similar take. Plus, he has a pretty fair resemblance to Evans, so that's a plus.

Others I considered: None

The Thing/Ben Grimm - CGI/Bruce Willis voicing

Duh.

Others I considered: None

ALLIES:

Alicia Masters - Keira Knightly (Pride & Prejudice, Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy)

I always wanted to cast Knightly into one of my fan casts, but never found a good role for her until now. I also originally thought of having Masters look older in a future F4 movie, but I don't think that would work. So, comparing the two pictures above I was like "Sure, why not?".

Others I considered: Jodie Foster

Black Panther - Steve Toussaint (Prince Of Persia, Judge Dredd)

Toussaint was actually my first choice for the role after seeing POP. Just take his character from that movie, add some hair, and boom! Black Panther. And for his role in the movie, I'd rather he have a small-ish role to set up for a future spin-off starring him.

Others I considered: None

She-Hulk - Jennifer Love Hewitt (Garfield, Tropic Thunder)

I don't think I need to explain this one much. She looks awesome for the role, IMO. And same with Black Panther when it comes to her role in the movie.

Others I considered: Scarlet Johannson

Namor The Sub-Mariner - Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes)

Eric Bana seems to be the fan favorite for the role, and while I believe he can do the character justice, Quinto looks all too perfect for Namor to turn him down. I can perfectly see him in the role, voice and everything.

Others I considered: Eric Bana

Silver Surfer - Keanu Reeves (The Matrix, Constantine)

Can't resist him. He looks like he'd rock it.

Others I considered: None

Galactus - Peter Cullen (Voice)

Duh.

Others I considered: Absolutely none

ENEMIES:

Dr. Doom/Victor Doom - Mark Strong (Green Lantern, Sherlock Holmes)

I'd like to thank DDD for suggesting this. He looks like he can do justice to the role.

Others I considered: Stephen Moyer

Trapster - John Malkovich (, Beowulf)

Malkovich was another one I always wanted to cast, but never got to until now. After some consideration, I think he'd rock as one of the original members of the Frightful Four.

Others I considered: None

Mole Man - Danny DeVito (Batman Returns, Space Jam)

I didn't have to do much consideration for this. DeVito would breathe life into the Mole and in a creepy, twisted way too (similar to his take on the Penguin...except no black goo coming from his mouth).

Others I considered: Alfred Molina, Philip Seymour Hoffman

Well, there's my cast. As I'm sort of unfamiliar with the F4 universe, I couldn't quite cast every major character, but I tried to cast some of the most important.
My next fancast will either be filling in the missing spots for Superman: The Man Of Steel, or an X-Men reboot.

personally I would have gone with an actor much younger, probably in his 20's for Human Torch, Chris is good but would have gone with some one a bit younger. Rest of the cast is pretty decent dude, good job.

This is a cool cast, I don't agree with Chris Pine as the Torch, or Keanu Reeves and Zachary Quinto...
Other than that Adrian Brody as Mr Fantastic is a pretty cool choice dude, haven't seen that around before, nice stuff!
If u got the chance though please check out my Green Lantern fan cast, it's well worth it! ;)

This is an awesome FF FF. The only disagreentments i have is your Kiera Knightley, Jennipher Love Hewitt, and Thing be CGI. I think Thing should be a mix of both. And for the people who think that they should change the Chris pine for HT for someone younger they're gonna have to change all the Fantastic four members unless you want Sue Storm to be 15 years older then Johhny, and Mr.Fantastic bieng 18 years older and Thing being 56 years older then Johhny. And speeking of things age i think you should have someone a little younger.

But overall great cast

What Hellsing said, about Torch. Also I think Doctor Doom should still go to Stephen Moyer. Other than that awesome man.

@RedHood13 no one said Human torch has to be 15 years younger, a actor thats 27 or 28 would do fine.

Not bad but it does kind of lack
originality like JEPOLSON@ said.

Thanks for the credit on DOC DOOM!

It is a pretty good cast, though!
