The first one is in the right step/idea, but his boxers are way too short and tight. They kinda look like Superman-boyshorts. And his chin is blurry. The second one is neat, but i think his head is not in the right proportion.

Other than that, your in the right direction

I'm with ThreeBigTacos. Also, the chest symbol on the first one easily looks like it was placed there on Gimp or something.

The chest on the first is too bright for the costume and the tight's look more like panties. Just improve those and the first would be awesome.

For the second if you are trying to make it look real you FAIL, but if you are trying to make it like someone did a manip with a painting of Cavill and a painting of superman you are Awesome at it.

but just improve them and you won't just be in the wright direction you'll be to your destination (meant to sound stupid)

Not too bad but the 1st pic his hair style is reversed his hair should be always on the right side so the hair has the S on it and the chest is too bright but not bad though

Perfect choice? no, no, after 19 years they picked Brandon Routh, it wasn't like there was a list of Superman look alikes to choose from and he wasn't a hollywood actor, yet he was picked and he put on the suit and everyone's heart dropped. We look at him, hear his name, whats the first thing that pops into your head? Superman. Everyone judges him by the movie that he was simply following the directions from. They can change the actors from Tom and Henry, change the plot, the tone, the screen size, whatever but put Routh back into the suit that he was born to wear in a different movie and people will see what I mean. Still, fact is Henry was picked and with mixed reviews of Sucker Punch coming in, I am concerned about the way this particular Superman will be portrayed. Time will tell however and I hope it works out well but we were deprived of a Superman for a long time and they picked Brandon for a reason and there is no other Superman than him.

He is Superman after all. His powers comes from sun not his muscles.
