I know most of you are tired of rants, reviews and complains about Iron Man 3 but this is different. In this article i just talk about some ideas i had to make the movie better. I have also made an article about why i didn't like iron Man 3 and there were some comments taht said that they didn't care about the twist and thought it was mindblowing. I have never thought about it that way but i still don't find it mindblowing but i think that if it really had been like that i would have accepted it. So here is a reimgination of iron Man 3 with the twist still being in it. Plus some improved action scenes. I guess some of you will think it's stupid or lame or something but i have to try. And don't tell me i am beating a dead horse beacause that is annoying and this is different. Let's get to it.
After Tony Stark fights Ellen Brandt and Eric Savin he goes to the Mandarin's house and after knocking down all the guards he arrives to what appears to be the Mandarin's bedroom. He gets close to a library and studies it. He holds an artifact he built and created a small EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) so the library opens (although it is not really a library, it is reinforced with iron so the doors are more resistant) and leads to a corridor with metalic walls and a total different style. He does not necesarely has to open the doors with an EMP, the thing is, he opens them, and if you are not happy with the secret door being in the bedroom that also can be changed. At the end of the corridor there is a big room with AIM agents (actual AIM agents with yellow Hazmat suits) and they start to shoot Tony so he also fires back. He also shoots some lasers from his arc reactor. He runs out of ammo and lasers so he summons his armour that Harley finally repaired (or not, i don't care, the thing is it works) but the only the helmet, the gauntlets and the boots arrive. Can you imagine a hooded Iron Man with the helmet and only those pieces of the armour kicking ass? I would love to see that.
Then all of the armour arrives so he fights the last AIM agents. He finds Maya Hansen and he asks her where the Mandarin is, she says that he is not the one he should worry about. She told her the guys he fought were AIM agents and that Aldrich Killian was its leader. Tony, with the help of Maya, remembers him. She also revealed that Killian had Pepper (although this time he is not going to implant the extremis virus in her), that he was going to attack the president in air force one and that New York was in danger. She repeats "You don't understand, The Mandarin is not the one you have to worry about, he is actually...". She gets shot by an AIM agent. Tony finishes him and then he finds Rhodes.
Then there is the air force one action scene but there are actually some seconds of armour vs armour but Savin throws Tony away with a blast. He gets out of the armour, puts Ellis inside and programmes it to go to the oil rig that AIM has (the final battle one). Then Tony kills Savin and you know the rest. This time Tony would actually be in the suit, but if you don't like the idea he can also not be in the suit, that is not important but the armour would not be destroyed. Tony tells Rhodes that he knows something about New York so he flies there.
Meanwhile, in New York, a ten rings soldier inyects the Extremis serum and blows up an important hotel. The Americans are scared. Some ten rings and extremis soldiers show up with the Mandarin in Times Squares and The Mandarin reveals that he has bombers all over the city and if somebody tries to do something the city will be in flames. Meanwhile, Aldrich Killian and AIM are broadcasting it for everyone from a headquarter in a boat. The Mandarin says that they have the president and his face appears in all of the screens of Times Squares and he says he is in danger. The Mandarin asks for all of the nuclear weapons the United States has or the president will die and all bombers will detonate their bombs. "No hero can help you, Iron Man is dead, Thor is busy at England, we have Captain America and Shield ocupied and The Hulk would only make things worse. You americans deserve this. You call me coward, then here i am. Coward terrorist. As i previously said i consider myself a teacher. You americans deserve this because you are always getting in trouble, you earned this. You called me coward and look what you've done. All of this is your fault, and your ego's fault. You deserve this."
The vicepresident (who also works for the bad guys, it would have been revealed before) is now in charge of everything, he is now the one who has to make the choices. Like in Olympus has fallen, when the president is kidnapped and Morgan Freeman is temporarily the president. The vicepresident choses to give the nuclear weapons to the Mandarin (although the other politicians think it is a bad idea). The gobernment gives the weapons to AIM and leaves them in its boats (where Aldrich is). The Mandarin goes to the boat where Killian is and Aldrich celebrates their success with other AIM leaders. The Mandarin is also around there, laughing (but not maniacly, just laghing. Not a very loud laugh, just laughing). The ships depart to the oil dig.
Iron Man arrives to New York to help the firemen in the destroyed hotel. A news reprter was talking in front of a camera in the street. "These have been one of the darkest hours in New York since the alien invasion. And it is still in danger because the bombers locations are still unknown." The camera yells: It's Iron Man! The reporter turns around and sees him arrive to the hotel. The firemen greet Iron Man. "Do you know what has happened" "yes" Because JARVIS would have told him. Tony rescues some the last people who were trapped. Aldrich Killian greets The Mandarin. "Hey, good job out there." And he gave him pats. (So the audience start wondering: What's with the pats?) Then the bombers tell Killian that Iron Man was in the city, so he despaired and told them to explode in a kamikaze way near Tony to kill him. "We have him right above us. We are two right here and he is right above us" "Okay, hit him" "Wait, he is landing. We are going to do it."
Tony lands, and sighs. There weren't any people were he landed, most of them were in their houses, scared. Some AIM agents touch some buttons in a computer (from the ship) and one of them says: "I got it." "Tony Stark. I thought i finished with you." "Mandarin!." "Stay out of this if you don't want Miss Potts to suffer" Then Aldrich talks to the soldier: "He is distracted, it is our opportunity" The soldier gets closer and he explodes; Tony is fired several meters. He is waken up by JARVIS. "I know you are tired, sir, but you have to get up" Tony is laying on the floor with lots of scratches in face. "No, JARVIS, i am exhausted, i can't do this." "Yes you do." "No, i don't." "Then what about Pepper?" "I don't know... I don't know what's gonna happen" "But she is counting on you, sir, as well as the rest of the people. Don't you remember when you saved everybody from the invasion? Well this time you have to do the same. I... I believe in you sir." Tony gets up. "I am sorry Mandarin, but if Mark 6 managed Thor, imagine what Mark 42 can do." "Damm! He is alive!"
Tony hears some gasping so he pulls up a lamppost. The next soldier arrives, sees Tony, prepares to inyect the Extremis serum but Tony stops him hiting him with the lamppost. He sees he has a walkie talkie so he tells him to tell his parters to reunite in a spot of the city, it is not imporant wich one. He does it. Tony connected some artifact in the Walkie and discovered that the radio signal came from one of the ships. "JARVIS, you got it?" "Yes, sir. You permanently have now the location of the ship" "Great, lets go." "Tony!" Rhodes arrived in a military helicopter. "Who is this person?" "He is one of the bombers, the crater right there is from another one but nobody was around." "Soliders, get him. How did you know he was a bomber?" "He was going to attack me. Hey, i know where the other ones are going to reunite" Tony tells to the soldiers and they go there to surround the area.
"Rhodes, I know where the Mandarin is and i need you to help me getting him." "What? You know where he is and you didn't tell..." "I didn't tell your soldiers because they would be visible. We need to go there stealthy, flying low inside our armours." "I haven't got one" "Oh, yes you do. JARVIS, send us the package" A metal box is shot to the air in the distance and it lands where they are. "I wanted to give it to you when we met the other day but you wanted to go to that bar so i obviously couldn't give it to you. "Oh, my god!" The box opens and leads to a better , cooler and improved War Machine armour. Rhodes puts it on and they both take off. The army takes down the rest of the bombers and it ends up on the news.
Aldrich Killian gets mad because the bombers got caught. He started to shout and break furniture. "It doesn't matter, we still have the president." Aldrich entered the Mandarin's room (that had dragons in it and strange furniture and shapes and a throne where he was). He asked the mandarin to do another broadcast. The Mandarin said in this new broadcast that he knew Iron Man was back, and the bombers were stopped but they still had the president. Tony and Rhodes were flying near the water when Tony told Rhody The Mandarin was doing another broadcast. Then he made a call: "Fury! I've heard you have problems, are you okay?" "Yes, we are busy but we are okay." (Yes, he would actually make a cameo) "Glad to hear that" "Hey, Tony. Stop that guy." "I'm on it Fury." He holds up. "Who was that?" "Just a friend" "Sir, the ship's location hasn't moved in five minutes. I guess it has stopped. Analyzing the coordenates, i think there is an oil rig there."
The Mandarin and Aldrich arrive, they go to the head quarters and there they meet the president inside the Iron Patriot armour, that was blocked (by Eric savin, who programmed it). The armour opens when some AIM agents touch some buttons. Then some people take him to the prison cells. "Stop this madness!" "Shut up if you don't want your country to burn." Says the Mandarin. Tony and Rhodes arrive. Rhodes studies the rig and sees the headquarters. "Okay, this is how i think it should be done..." "No. I haven't been completely honest with you. All of this time we have been followed." "What?" "Just... Wait for it... Wait for it..." Then some lights appear in the distance and all of the armours arrive. "There's my boys" The armours start a war. "First, get the president" All of the armours get in the headquarters and rescue the president. One of the armours left him in a safe position and told him that he needed to wait for an armour to get him back to the white house, because most of them were needed to fight.
There is 2 minutes of armours vs extremis action. "What are we fighting this time, Tony?" "AIM agents and ten rings and extremis soldiers." "Just like old times, eh Tony?" "Just like old times." And then there is an action sequence like the one in Iron Man 2 when they both fight with Hammer drones but this time with extremis, aim and ten rigs. There are 30 more seconds of War Machine. Some AIM agents remote control the Iron patriot Armour, but War Machine grabs it and says: "It actually looks stupid." Then he throws it to the air and the heartbreacker armour destroys it. An armour rescued Pepper. JARVIS said: "This is the rescue armour, it 's a present from Tony Stark." Pepper puts it on and takes down some AIM agents. The Mandarin keeps comunicating with Iron Man and keeps telling him that he is not going to make and trying to make him feel insecure. Iron Man arrives to the Mandarin's room and sees him talking to a microphone.
Iron Man takes him by the neck. "No!" "You have taken innocent lives in that hotel." "No, it wasn't me. I swear! You don't understand, there is something that you don't know. I am an actor. The Mandarin does not exist, he is just a symbol. I don't do anythig important. I don't decide what to do, what decisions to take. Nothing. "Trevor!" "Oh, no." Aldrich arrives, punches Trevor in the face and sends him several meters away (The Trevor Slattery scene would not have been so cheesy). They get out of the headquarters where the rest of the fight was. "I found Trevor's voice deep and inspiring so i hired him. But he wouldn't hurt a fly." Three iron man armours try to help Tony but Killian destroys them. He picks up Tony from the neck. He was just a symbol. A gadafi, an Osama Bin Laden... I was the brain and he was the voice. You want a Mandarin? I am your Mandarin!" He destroys Mark 42 with a few punches. He does the same with War Machine. He is going to kill them both but Pepper arrives and recues them. "Got you." "Like before, i got you first" (they kiss) "Pepper, get the president and Rhodes out of here. JARVIS will tell you where the president is." Aldrich arrives. "Go, go, go!" Tony fights for some seconds with some armours, then he uses the silver centurion for one minute and the igor for two minutes. Iron Man wins and you know the rest.
