Synopsis:
"Based on Brian Michael Bendis comic series "Alias," the TV show would center on Jessica Jones a former superhero under the code name Jewel who has decided to give up tights and spotlight. Rosenberg confirmed the show would also have principal parts for Luke Cage (also known as Power Man and her eventual husband in the comics) as well as Carol Danvers (better known as Ms. Marvel, on of the most powerful members of The Avengers).
JESSICA JONES:BRIDGET REGAN
Bridget Regan did great as the female lead in Legend of the Seeker and I think if Marvel were to cast her this would be a break out role for her plus she has the right physical traits needed for the character.
LUKE CAGE:MORRIS CHESTNUT
The actual comic series of Jessica Jones is actually a rather serious toned story line and while there are many good African American actors that would play a great big screen Luke Cage...I think Morris Chestnut would work well as Luke Cage on the small screen and have great chemistry with Regan.
CAROL DANVERS/MISS MARVEL:TERESA PALMER
The shows script writers have said that Carol would have a principal role in it which would be good for once to have two lead female characters on a marvel project. Teresa Palmer has been rumored for many characters in comic book movies like the recent Batman films and the failed Justice League:Mortal. I think she would be an ideal casting choice for Carol she is young and closely around the same age as Regan so their friendship would be good to see played out on screen. I would see her wearing Miss Marvels original red costume from the comics.
Villains:
THE PURPLE MAN:CLIVE OWEN
Clive Owen has been seen as both good and bad on films/TV. He played the mad man in the movie "Inside Man" and I could see him channeling that same energy into a character like the Purple Man. He would be seen has the puppet master trying to mentally break down the relationships within Jessica and those around her.
THE OWL:PAUL GIAMATTI
The Owl is another villain that Jones tries to take down during the series run and could be used as an ally of the purple man doing his dirty work while the purple man acts behind the scenes.
Cameos:
This show is said to have the same shared universe as the featured films Marvel has recently produced. While those characters will more than likely not feature into the small screen, it still however lends itself to have cameos/recurring quest stars from the rest of the Marvel U.
IRON FIST/DANNY RAND:SCOTT PORTER
The Heroes For Hire is a partnership that could finally be brought to life through this show. Scott Porter is an upcoming actor and already has proven to have the acting chops for the role. He would make a good partner standing next to Chestnut as the immortal Iron Fist.
DAREDEVIL:SIMON BAKER
In the series the purple man sends Jones to Kill Daredevil which could make for a great double episode. Simon Baker is a great actor and he reminds me of what a live-action Daredevil would act like.
THE VISION:MICHAEL ROSENBAUM (VOICE/MOCAP)
The vision is featured in one storyline along with his then wife at the time Scarlet Witch. Rosenbaum is a great voice actor and would do well as the role of the vision in a quest star role.
SCARLETT WITCH:ELIZA DUSHKU
Wanda was mistaken for another superhero during one of Jessica's missions and
realized she had the wrong person and fleed from the scene. This could be expanded on in a full episode giving them more character interaction
AGENT PHIL COULSON:CLARK GREGG
Shield will more than likely be involved with this series and need a liason to interact and keep tabs on the activities of these individuals on a weekly basis. Who better then one of its finest agents Clark Gregg aka Agt.Phil Coulson. He has become one of the most recognized SHIELD characters ever created. This again would help to keep continuity with the Marvel film universe.
CLAY QUARTERMAIN:MARK VALLEY
a doomed romantic relationship with S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Clay Quartermain, who would prove to be a valuable friend and contact for her later in life.
