This is my take on the JSA

DISCLAIMER FOR DISCLAIMER: I really didn't want to do this but because of some experience doing these things..... I just got to.

DISCLAIMER: This is not real. This will never end up on actual film. These are my personal choices for the cast of a "JSA" film, so be kind and enjoy.

Hawkman/Carter Hall

Karl Urban
I've always liked Urban, and I think he's a fantastic actor. Before the whole batfleck news, he was a fan favorite for Batsy and to be honest I would've enjoyed the hell out of that, but since he's not I think Hawkman would be an appropriate fit. Hawkman has great gravitas and strength to him which I think Urban could play beautifully. He's already a big guy, all he'd need to do is bulk up a bit and he's Carter.

Hawkgirl/Shiera

Paula Patton
When I was thinking who could play Hawkgirl the only name that came to mind and made sense to me was Patton. She is a beautiful, beautiful women and an amazing actress with experience in action with her role in MI:4. Patton just has the look of an ancient Egyptian queen and that's what I want to be conveyed in a film.

Dr. Fate/Kent Nelson

Matt Damon
Without having to get into much detail, Damon kicks ass, you know it-I know it, and I personally believe he would the perfect Fate. The role of Dr. Fate is probably the hardest character in the roster to play. You need an actor who could play the logical, balance keeping "God", but also in turn play Nelson, a man who agrees to be Fate who would later lose his own sanity because of it. Damon is an actor's actor who revels in action, but can more importantly convey deep and powerful emotion, I think there's no one better.

Green Lantern/Alan Scott

Ryan Gosling
I'm a huge fan of Gosling, he's todays "IT" guy and he's that for a reason. Gosling is a real old school performer who likes to "Become" the character and it shows on screen. When thinking who could play Scott, there was no other choice. To be honest, I don't see Gosling being in a super hero film anytime soon because of attitude of wanting to be seen as a serious actor, but for some reason I keep thinking the whole Alan Scott being gay thing would be appealing to him and he would take the role, you know actors, they always want some character trait to play with.

Sandman/Wesley Dodds

Misha Collins
CASTIEL!!!! Misha is a really, really good actor and he would own as Sandman. Sandman is my favorite of all the JSA team members and Collins in perfect for him. Collins has this incredible ability to be frightening while doing very little, he has the body type and acting style to play Sandman and he doesn't look too bad in a trench coat either.

Black Canary

Diane Kruger
Kruger is an actress who I've always found stunning and for a long time I've been trying to find a character I think should be great at, and then suddenly I thought "Black F@$king Canary". Canary is a really cool and interesting character, especially the golden-age version. Kruger is a wonderful actress with a great old Hollywood look and I would really be up for her being Canary, all she has to do is practice her American accent, because at this point, it's rough.

Atom/Al Pratt

Scott Caan
To be Honest, I've never been too into the Atom, he's an ok character but I never been hungry enough to read everything that was ever written about the guy. From what I do know about him, I think Cann would be a perfect fit. Cann is a great actor, really experienced in action and he's a small guy like Pratt.

Hourman/Rex Tyler

Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Like Atom, I really don't Know much about the character besides what I read in a few comics, but from what I do know about him I think Meyers would be perfect for the role. Meyers has always been a favorite of mine, he's intense and he's fun a think he would take the character in a great direction.

Flash/Jay Gerrick

Jack Huston
Huston is a cool actor who just oozes intelligence and in my opinion would be a great Gerrick. Golden-Age Flash is really fun character with a hell of an outfit, and I enjoy reading about him. Huston has a ton of talent and it's a shame we don't see much of him on the big screen, he would perfect as Gerrick.

Doctor Mid-Nite

Josh Hartnett
Mid-Nite is the character I had the hardest time with, I wanted to pick someone with a darkness to them but I didn't want to go with the obvious choices so I chose Hartnett. Like Kruger, Hartnett has a great old Hollywood look to him and he's an actor with incredible depth that I think hasn't been used to it's full capacity yet. If Hartnett ever decides to play a superhero, I hope it's Mid-NIte.

Star-Spangled Kid/Sylvester Pemberton

James Marsden
Let's face it, Marsden got screwed with Cyclops. In every damn movie, he was mopey and a jerk and barely had any screen time. Marsden is a really good actor and I have to say from personal experience is a nice guy. He has this good guy, all-American feel to him, which I think would be perfect for the Star-Spangled Kid.

Wildcat/Ted Grant

Eric Bana
When I think Wildcat, I think Bana. Wildcat is a kick ass Hero who likes to use his fist to do the talking for him, and I just love that. When casting I wanted an actor who looked like a boxer and had an attitude that screamed " Yea, I dare you to hit me, watch what happens". Bana is a power house of an actor who deservers more acclaim than he's gotten and I have no doubt he would make the perfect Wildcat

Spectre/Jim Corrigan

Michael C. Hall
Spectre is a very dark and complicated character, and so I went with an actor who excels in that. Hall has amazed us in his many seasons of "Dexter" and that role alone shows that he could play a very interesting Spectre, plus he looks like Corrigan Pre-death.

Red Tornado/Ma Hunkel

Melissa McCarthy
Just so all of you know, If a JSA movie ever happens, I hope to god Red Tornado isn't in it, she's useless and makes the whole JSA seem like a joke, But for the sake of the Fan-cast I casted her anyway. If anyone were to ever portray the hefty, bucket head wearing mother , there would be nobody better suited for the role. not only does she look the part, but let's face it if Hunkel is ever in a film, it would be played for laughs anyway.

#Sidenote: I certainly hope once the "Justice League" films start rolling out, WB will at least consider doing a JSA film. If they introduce Hawkman in "Justice League 2" they could easily spin him off into the JSA film and market it as a prequel to the Justice league films, they could even tell it from Hawkman's perspective as a flashback.

You have some awesome casting choices- Damon, Bana, Hartnett, Urban and Collins-

I almost quit reading though when I saw you had Gosling as Alan Scott. Personally, and Im sure I am not the only one, I am quite sick of seeing him cast as just about everyone. Other than being blonde, he doesnt fit Scott at all.

I actually really like this overall. I'm always down with a cast that includes the severely underrated Josh Harnett after all. Only one I would change would be Marsden, I love him but not for the part.
