Lets just think this trough...IF John K. is Captain America is this good news?

Many people know John Krasinski from The Office. Sure, he seems like a nice guy. But a nice super hero? Well thats where I come in, read along and maybe I can change your mind...because i talk the talk and walk the walk.

All right, where to begin? What do we expect in Captain America? Well for one we expect him to be American. We expect him to be tall, white(no racism here, but I mean this refers to Will Smith),handsome and all American guy. John Krasinski feels those shoes perfectly. The guy is from Massachusetts, hes tall standing at 6'3 and ehhm white.
The most common argument people will make of will be "The guy from the office???" but lets wind back the clocks 6 years ago...what if the American version of the office was not created and we never knew of this guy. Now lets look at him like a complete stranger. As a complete stranger he seems like a perfect Cap. The thing to me is that Cap has to be tall he will be standing next to Thor,Iron Man and probably Hulk we dont need a guy that stands at 5'10 as Cap. Anyway the point im getting to is this and you know this argument by now. Look what people said to Micael Keaton about Batman..."Mr.Mom??? is Batman NONSENSE!!" fast forward to 2000
"A nobody is playing Wolverine???, thats NONSENSE!! HE IS TOO TALL!!" Fast forward to 2007. "The GAY COWBOY from Brokeback is The Joker?!?! the most menacing villain Batman has and the put a gay cowboy??? this movie is going to suck" and then...Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark?!? what the hell i knew Tony was an alcoholic not a drug addict.
To conclude my worthless rant is plain and simple we should never judge before making an accusation without reasonable doubt We mere mortals have nothing.

Erickz out. KEEP ROCK AND ROLLING.

I'm sorry but simply because an actor is tall adn white does not make them qualified to be Captain America. Look at his face. His nose is huge, his ears are huge, he looks like a doofus. And also you can;t really use the Heath Ledger argument because Heath was already an award winning actor before being the Joker, it's not like he was a stranger, Michael Keaton had proved his acting abilities by the time he played Batman, and Robert Downey Jr has been a well repsected actor for years. To be honest, he's my man crush :)

Sorry but the Office-Kid doesn;t fit the bill.

This is...interesting logic.

1. You're pretty much saying that he'd be good cause he's tall and white. If thats true than half of the american population could play him.

2.The guy looks nothing like Steve Rogers. Sure he has the nerdy to small to be a soldier look, but not the super hero look.

3.People didnt know who Hugh Jackman was you're right, but the guy looked exactly like Wolverine.

4. I agree with Ryden that Heathe was already an award winning actor. It's true many people were against it(including myself) but people knew who he was and liked him as an actor. He actually had good movies and roles under his belt.

5.Everyone loved Keaton back then.

6.Downey although a drugy was a well respected actor before all the drama started.

7. There is PLENTY reasonable doubt.

8. This should be in editorial not fan fic

I may have to disagree a little bit with ryden and batmanknight. I think the argument Erickz is making here is that with the aformentioned actors there were things said, negativly, about the comic rolls they were playing, and they turned out to be a success. I do believe he can use Heath Ledger as an example because what was said is true, people did question him due to his roll in brokeback mountain (I remember hearing about that on more then one occasion, same with all the others. In other words these are not arguments he's pulling out of his a$$) Now I can think of other actors to play Cap and I never would have thought of John Krasinski. However, the guy is a good actor and dispite his features (which seems to be the only problem anyone has) we may be surprised.

Besides, I could see John as a pre-super soldier serum Steve Rogers

i think its an intriguing out of the box choice that has the potential to be a smart surprise JUST like the examples mentioned.

Only problem is he looks nothing like Captain America! Plus, his nose his HUGE - he'd look ridiculous in the costume!

@optimusprime- Damn right I'm a hater, I'd hate to watch Captain America with Shrek in the lead.

@Cagefighter- No the argument doesn;t hold up. Even if people didn;t like the thought of the Brokeback Mountain star as the Joker, he was still an award winning actor at that point. He has already shown diversity in his acting abiltities, like a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain to Skip in Lords of Dogtown. And he fit the bill for the modern Joker. The grungy, anarchistic, sarcastic mad-man. Heaqth could pull that off so he was cast. However, John K is nothing remotley like Cap. Cap was never an ugly guy, ever. He was just scrawny before. Then he bulked up, simple as. This guy facially is not right for the role. He has massive ears and a huge nose. Already two glaring problems. Having this doofus as Cap is like having McLovin for Spider-Man. It just wouldn;t work.

Jensen Ackles SHOULD be Captain America!!! Click on the pic to find out why. And if "schedualing" is the ONLY reason why Jensen can't be Cap because the Supernatural "heads" won't facilitate him, I'M [frick]ING BOYCOTTING SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL!!!!!!!

JENSEN ACKLES FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!

LMAO @ EVERYONE who believed that "list" was real, and SMH @ EVERYONE who actually thought for even a slight second that John Krasinski would make a good Cap. As if Marvel would actually consider him for the role...
I swear people on here are too damn gullible and have no sense of humor...this was obviously a joke.

It's already been Confirmed as a RUMOR, ENOUGH ALREADY.
