A worthy antagonist is invaluable to a great story and Marvel has a plethora of great villains in it's arsenal. For this cast, I only chose to use characters whose rights are owned by Marvel Studios, so no Dr. Doom or Galactus here. Also, I left out some of the villains that may appear in the upcoming Netflix shows, as I plan to do a separate casting for that in the near future. Anyway, enjoy my picks for some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most fearsome evildoers.
Baron Helmut Zemo- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
As Jamie Lannister on "Game of Thrones", he has shown that he's got the ability and charisma to play a character that leaves you intrigued.
Amora the Enchantress- Alice Eve
Not only is she stunningly beautiful, but as she's proved is "Star Trek into Darkness", she's right at home in a big budget action film.
Skurge the Executioner- Conan Stevens
Where Amora goes, Skurge is sure to follow. Another "Game of Thrones" vet, Stevens is a giant tank of a man who would be sure to give Thor a battle to remember.
Mephisto- Jeremy Irons
With an acting resume that speaks for itself, Irons is a renowned actor who would be absolutely sinister as Marvel's version of the Devil himself.
M.O.D.O.K.- John Malkovich
M.O.D.O.K. is such a crazily awesome character that only an actor of similarly crazily awesome caliber as Malkovich could ever hope to do justice to this role. Requiring a ton of CGI work, only someone as weird as Malkovich would bake this maniac character a credible threat and not just a joke.
Kang the Conquerer- Matthew Macfadyen
With his deep baritone voice, Macfadyen would be truly inspired as this time traveling conquerer.
Dormammu- Ian McShane
In movies such as the "Pirates" franchise, McShane has proven time and time again that he has the ability to portray a terrifying enemy, perfect for a lord of a hellish dimension.
Madame Masque- Jessica Paré
After honing her acting chops on shows such as "Mad Men", Paré has a truly seductive quality to bring Masque to life.
Taskmaster- Adam Baldwin
A fan favorite character, this Whedon vet is also fan favorite that has both the attitude and physical skill necessary for this skull faced mercenary.
Baron Mordo- Angus Macfadyen
Macfadyen has been impressing audiences in roles dating all the way back to "Braveheart". He'd be well suited to play the ying to Dr Strange's yang.
Sin- Jenna Malone
Starting out as something of an indie darling, Malone's been expanding to more action oriented films such as "Sucker Punch". She'd really show her range as the psycho daughter of the Red Skull himself.
Klaw- Mads Mikkelson
As the infamous serial killer Hannibal Lechter, Mikkelson demonstrates his ability to be charming and menacing at the same time. He'd need to be both as the master of sound that's integral to the Black Panther's origin.
Absorbing Man- Randy Couture
A mainstay of the Marvel Universe has gone toe to toe with everyone from Thor to the Hulk. While he may never win an Oscar, Couture's MMA background and recent acting career make him a great pick for "Crusher" Creel.
Moonstone- Ali Larter
Playing a superpowered mental case on the show "Heroes", Larter would be right at home as this manipulative villainess.
Ghost- Domhnall Gleeson
It was his portrayal of the tech-savy creep in "Dredd" as well as his skinny frame that proved to me that he'd do wonders as this paranoid anti-corporate saboteur.
Fixer- Corey Stoll
With a noteworthy turn as a morally questionable Congressman on "House of Cards", he's shown an intelligence that would be well suited for a tech genius.
Ulik- Matt Willig
A barbaric foe of the Asgardians, Willig has the massive frame to play this brute.
Mad Thinker- Brad Dourif
an archetypal mad scientist, Dourif's career of playing crazy and evil characters make him a lock for this role.
M'Baku the Man-Ape- Nonso Anozie
As a powerful tribal warrior and rival to the Black Panther, M'Baku needs someone large and fearsome to portray him. As demonstrated as the biblical strongman Samson, Anozie certainly fits the bill.
Mentallo- Jimmi Simpson
No stranger to playing weasley characters, such as in "Breakout Kings", he'd do well as this psychic powered scumbag.
Well that's all, folks. Hopefully you all had as much fun reading these as I had coming up with them. Please share your thought below.
