Let's face it. Marvel and DC arn't going to come together on anything beyond comics. But if by some chance they decide to put aside competition for the fans and turn their hit Marvel vs DC comic into a film, this would be my idea for it. This will include the plot, cast/characters, matchups and writer and director. My plot won't be much different from the comic, but there will be a few changes. One plot element will include part of the JLA/Avengers comic.
Plot: The two ultimate beings of the two universes, Thanos and Darkseid, become aware of eachother's existance. The two attempt to prove who's more powerful, but don't fight it out. Rather they decide to pit who they consider the ultimate warriors from their universes in a gladiator-like battle. The two beings use the Infinity Gauntlet to merge the universes together. Once merged, the two titans pit these warriors together. Darkseid tells his that Thanos' leave their city in total disarray after an attack. Thanos tells his that Darkseid's only want fame and glory and nothing more. Enraged, the two sides begin a war, though neither side loses a member. Towards the climax, Thanos and Darkseid reveal their plan, causing the two sides to team up against them. Silver Surfer defeats Thanos with Thor and Captain Marvel with Superman defeat Darkseid. Afterwards, the two words are seperated and the two titans return unsatisfied with the results.
Cast and mathcups:
Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) vs. Superman (Henry Cavill)

Captain America (Chris Evans) vs. Batman (Jim Caviezel)
Storm (Halle Berry) vs. Wonder Woman (Gina Carano)
Quicksilver (Thomas Felton) vs. Flash (Chris Pine)
Silver Surfer (Michael Rosenbaum) vs. Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds)

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) vs. Lobo (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)
The villains:
Thanos (Damion Poitier) and Darkseid (James Earl Jones)
That's the cast. Now for the two men that I think should helm this movie.
Writer and director: Joss Whedon and Zack Snyder
These two have proven that they can handle a superhero team up, with their works on The Avengers and Watchmen. If the two come together on this, it'll be one of the best comic book movies ever made.
Well, that's my idea on Marvel vs. DC movie. I went with the mathcups seen in the comic series. Feel free to comment on it and give your own ideas on how this should play out.
