Hello Cbmer's, just a quick article on my thoughts for Marvel's Phase 1, 2 & 3. So after you see them let me know what you think in the comment section below! [[***WARNING SPOILERS***]]

---Phase 1: Assembling The Avengers!
Iron Man- 2008
The Incredible Hulk- 2008
Iron Man 2- 2010
Thor- 2011
Captain America: The First Avenger- 2011
The Avengers- 2012

---Phase 2: Assembling The Masters of Evil!
Iron Man 3- 2013
Thor 2: The Dark World- 2013
S.H.E.I.L.D (T.V Series) - 2013
Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier- 2014
Guardians of the Galaxy- 2014
The Avengers 2: The Masters of Evil- 2015

---Phase 3: The Thanos Imperative!
Ant-Man- 2015
Dr. Strange- 2016
Black Panther- 2016
The Incredible Hulk 2- 2017
Guardians of the Galaxy 2- 2017
The Avengers 3: Thanos Imperative- 2018

Okay, I know what some of you are saying, "But it was said Thanos is the main villain for The Avengers 2?" That was said by the Mad Titans creator (Jim Starlin) but he specifically said he will be “featured” in The Avengers 2. So I analyzed everything and saw that all the bad guys in the phase 2 movies sound like it could be leading to The Masters of Evil.

***SPOILERS******SPOILERS******SPOILERS******SPOILERS******SPOILERS******SPOILERS***

The Masters of Evil could be assembled by The Mad Titan Thanos. Here's how I see it, it is said in recent spoilers for Iron Man 3 that The Mandarin doesn't die, if this is true that could be the start of the the Masters of Evil. Thor 2 is what we put Thanos's plan into motion It is said that there's gonna be a major war between Asgard and The Dark Elves, One warrior in the battle could be Executioner, and where there's Executioner there's Enchantress. Enchantress in the comics always worked with Loki so why can’t it be that way in the movies? Enchantress could try and finish the job that Loki started and make another deal with Thanos, but instead of retrieving the Tesseract Thanos will now want the Infinity Gauntlet. In The Avengers Loki failed in getting the Tesseract to Thanos and if we all remember what The Other told Loki what happens if he fails...

"The Other: The Chitauri grow restless.
Loki: Let them gird themselves. I will lead them into glorious battle.
The Other: Battle? Against the meager might of Earth?
Loki: Glorious, not lengthy. If your force is as formidable as you claim.
The Other: You question us? You question HIM? He, who put the scepter in your hand, who gave you ancient knowledge and new purpose when you were cast out, defeated?
Loki: I was a king, the rightful king of Asgard! Betrayed!
The Other: Your ambition is little, born of childish need. We look beyond the Earth to greater worlds the Tesseract will unveil.
Loki: You don't have the Tesseract yet. I don't threaten, but until I open the doors, until your force is mine to command, you are but words.
The Other: You will have your war, Asgardian. IF YOU FAIL, IF THE TESSERACT IS KEPT FROM US, THERE WILL BE NO REALM, NO BARREN MOON, NO CREVICE WHERE HE CAN NOT FIND YOU. YOU THINK YOU KNOW PAIN? HE WILL MAKE YOU LONG FOR SOMETHING AS SWEET AS PAIN."

So obviously Loki has a bounty on his head for failing. This is most likely why he will help Thor take the battle to the Dark Elves and defeat them. Because Loki is the only person who has access to the dark side of Asgard is Loki who at the beginning of the film is locked up in prison. So it seems like Loki has the advantage, Thor needs his help and he has Thor's protection from The Other (or so he thinks). During battle with the Dark Elves, The Other could possibly show up to retrieve Loki and somehow Enchantress gets evolved between the two and The Other takes Amora instead of Loki. From there Thanos will then use Amora to try and assemble "Court Death" what I believe to be, as I said earlier, The Masters Of Evil.

Here are comments made by Joss Whedon on how to approach The Avengers 2...

“By not trying to [go bigger]. By being smaller. More personal, more painful. By being the next thing that should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and organic to itself.”

“I want to know what makes them tick, what makes them flawed, what makes them fight – and ultimately, what makes them awesome. I go to these movies for those moments when the heroes define themselves, either through action or deliciously overwritten speeches.”

"When I first considered doing Avengers 2, my first question was what can I do that's new? Because I can't make it bigger....but I can make it better."
When the moderator asks about his philosophy for Avengers 2 Whedon responds "Death, death and death."

Interesting, here's recent comments from Kevin Feige:

“I don’t know exactly what he meant when he said “deeper”. But, similar to Iron Man 3, we’re not saying, “Now it’s gotta be even bigger and more aliens come and there’s a giant monster! [...] So I think that’s where the value lies. And going deeper amongst those characters in those relationships.”

What I get from this is that, like Feige said, it doesn't have to be a sequel with a “BIGGER” alien invasion and where the “GIANT MONSTER” Thanos is the lead villain. No! Whedon and Feige wants this to be emotional between the team. They need people who know how to “make them tick, what makes them flawed, what makes them fight.” The only people who possibly knows this is The Masters Of Evil! Now, for this team of malevolence:

The Masters Of Evil!
Mandarin and/or Baron Zemo
Enchantress
Executioner
Crossbones
Sin(daughter of Red Skull)
The Abomination

The Avengers 2 Roster!
Iron Man
Captain America
Thor
The Incredible Hulk
Hawkeye and/or Falcon
Black Widow
Wasp (Wasp was in the first draft of the Avengers script and is rumored to show up in the Iron Man 3)
In the Avengers 2 you can expect "Death, death and death!"

Jason Bourne will return in the conclusion to this article “Marvel’s Phase 3!”

I think this editorial makes a lot of valid points (especially concerning Whedons comments regarding the direction of phase two). However I think including the Executioner and the Enchantress in the MOE is a bit of a stretch. But I could see Kurse showing up instead.

Also isn't there a rumour of radioactive man showing up in IM3?? Surely he would be included. Although no chance of The Melter - not after what Shane Black said about him!

I also don't see the MOE showing up as a team. More a group of individuals with similar goals. That way there would be no need for a leader - more someone pulling the strings and double crossing each other.

Really hard to pick a team when there are so many options out there. And who knows will be added to the 'roster' as the phase two films arrive?

I really like having Masters of Evil in Avengers 2 and Thanos in Avengers 3, and besides that I am more excited to see a bunch of heros fighting a bunch of villains first. That would be really cool.

I also approve Thanos being the Nick Fury of the bad guys, it could work.

I think War Machine must be in Avengers 2 and I am not sure about Wasp without Antman but we will see.

For the Masters of Evil roster team they could bring Red Skull and The Leader. And an iron man robotic villain like Titanium Man.

i think we should get Captain America 3 and Thor 3 before Avengers 3. Incredible Hulk 2 would be nice too.

Does anyone think its weird that 3 articles about the next phases have been posted in like 3 days? Anyway I am pretty sure that the moe won't show up in the mcu. Now I might be wrong but this is how I think it will go:

Phase 2: villain thanos films already announced
Phase 3: villain ultron
Films:
Ant man
Hulk 2
Doc strange
Thor 3 (with surtur and Hela)
Black panther
Captain America: Reborn(Bucky-cap and red skull)
The avengers 3

Brilliant article JasonBourne! You bring up some very interesting points!

My "Masters" Team:

- Enchantress & Executioner
- Kurse?
- Crossbones
- Michael Korvac? (Depends on GOTG)
- Radioactive Man (Iron Man 3 guy)
- Abomination
-Eric Savin (He would be Coldblood, if established in IM3)

Oh and don't forget to include in the part two about how Thanos would be a perfect wrap-up of the trilogy!

lol I don't understand why everyone wants Marvel to fire Chris Evans. The guy has a 6 movie contract(probably 3 Captain America and 3 Avengers) but everyone wants him to die and not return for the third movie of his franchise which technicly means that he would be out for Avengers 3 too. So that's only 4 movies out 6 that he could have been.

Why do people find MoE irrational. There's another reason to think they'll turn uo other than "making it personal". You all saw IM2, Thor and CA: TFA, right? What did they all have in common... Team aspects. Iron Man had War Machine and Black Widow, Thor had Lady Sif and the Warriors Three and Cap had the Howling Commandoes. All the sequels in Phase 2 contain more than one villain. So I think Thanos is there for GotG and MoE are gearing up for A2.
