Hey guys... am back again for another minimal marvel piece... this time two pieces.. black widow




and hawkeye



Found out the reason some pieces are looking... blurry is because I can only upload certain size pieces.. so you can find better quality ones on my facebook or tumblr

I also suppose.. this piece is just on the minimal line... so yeah I am pushing it calling it minimal...
but never mind

yeah i did use that image... but just because I was struggling with a good pose for her.. saw that picture and decided to use that pose.. not purposely lying i didn't source it because I wanted to link my fb page instead... and tbh I could have came up with that stance myself.. just because one artist has done it doesn't mean no body else can draw the same pose again... but thanks for the comments guys

True Mark, but it's the exact same picture. Look at Spider-Man covers, sure many poses are similar but they are all their own style because every artist did their own interpretation.

Not a fan of these two. The Blackwidow is uninspired pretty much same as the Human Torch/Iceman image. It works for Hawkeye but again, sort of more of the same except that one seems a little rushed. I don't like the rectangles purple gradient streaks, most are just straight blocked out while two of them have weird angles for no significant reason. Just seems inconsistent. Maybe give them the same shape as the feathers they're emulating?

Great work, but yeah you should source or at least credit the original Black Widow artist - it's not like you only referenced the picture, it's almost identically composed, even the hairline is identical.

Of course you COULD HAVE drawn the same stance, but the fact is you didn't. Referencing the image is one thing, but using the same exact image for the base of your "minimalist" poster is another beast altogether. You should at least give credit to the original artist.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but this is something that really bothers me that I've seen a lot of (not here, elsewhere).
