My cast picks for a Daredevil....reboot.

My cast picks for a Daredevil....reboot.

Yes, I said reboot. The first one was a decent movie. I won't lie. I liked it. But, since then, Marvel movies have hit a whole new level, and in my opinion, the first one just doesn't stand up. so here's my ideas...

First off. They should breeze through the origins thing just because they did it (for the most part) in the first one. But, they should include characters such as Stick. The man, deserves some attention and was not done justice in the Elektra movie. Second, being one of the earlier Marvel movies, there wasn't much in the way of cameos. There should be. Daredevil, has been friends, and had partnerships, with some of the greats, including Spider-man(which I know won't happen.) Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. There's plenty of room to introduce these characters and open massive doorways for better characters. Anyways, I'm done ranting. Lets get started.

To Start, I don't think Ben Affleck did a terrible job. But, I hate him. He's too damn smug. Always looks like a cocky SOB, and you know what I mean. For some reason it just bugs me. Plus, he's gotten kinda fat. So to replace him. Someone who looks reasonably close to him. But in better shape, and IMO a much better actor.

Matthew Fox as Daredevil.

Next, Jon Favreau will stay Foggy Nelson. No explanation needed in my opinion.

Moving on...

Since the rumors are already floating around the internet anyways, and I don't think she's a bad choice. I'm sticking with...

Katee Sackhoff as Typhoid Mary.

Okay, this next one. Will probably piss a lot of people off. But, it's my fantasy world, so there. Anyways, I find him to be a decent actor, who has shown a reasonable amount of martial arts(choreography) skill. ha ha. and I think he could do the part justice. Plus, I hate Ray Park. He sucks, he's ugly, and he can't speak. So why would we put in a movie? Anyways.

Seann William Scott as Iron Fist.

Whew! That was tough. Now, it's been floating around the internet for quite a while now that Tyrese Gibson would be playing the part of Luke Cage, true or not, I don't like it. I think it sucks, big ones. I'm not going to say I don't like the guy, and he's in good shape. But, he's too lanky, and IMO, just wouldn't be convincing. Therefore, I chose...

Shemar Moore as Luke Cage.

Jessica Jones, I'm not going to dwelve into detail, because...I don't want to. But, I feel this actress would have to be big. Like she can stand her ground in a room full of super powered men, and not like tiny, or intimidated. So I chose...

Laura Prepon as Jessica Jones.

Oh, and I'm sticking with Joe Pantoliano as Ben Urich. Let's face it he rocked.

Now my original choice for this character was David Carradine but he died. So I chose Christopher Lambert.

Lastly, Milla Donovan, I don't personally care much for the character. But, I do believe that in order to make anything convincing, there has to be something to relate it to. So this kinda makes sense.

Maria Bello as Milla Donovan.

Welp, that's all folks.

what kinda story were you thinking?

If it were up to me i would go with the Daredevil Yellow (Marvel Legends - Graphic Novel) Story. It's an awesome story, it would technically be a Re-boot because of the story, although there would be no other superhero's (Iron Fist, Luke Cage), maybe it would be possible to work then in subtely, but i wouldn't be that bothered.

As for your pick for Daredevil, sorry dude but anyone but Matthew Fox, the guy is the next Ben Affleck only less successful. Ben didn't do a bad job with daredevil but he sure as hell didn't do a good job. As for the rest:

Ben Ulrich - Yes, right on, he was awesome.
Foggy - Yes, but would Fav's do it.
As for the rest i'm not that bothered by, dont have any major problems with your choices.

I like all of your pics except Stifler for Iron Fist..seriously dude!!

Fox could be a great Daredevil id say, the only prob i have is that aside from Lost(which hes amazing in) the only movies i have seen him in are Speed Racer and Vantage Point. He was good in both but i havnt seen him in a big enough movie part to get a proper sense of his range.

I'd say go for Fox as DD but honestly, i hope you meant Stifler as a joke cause you're really not gonna get any love for that pic LMFAO!!! :P

As for Luke Cage, your pic isn't bad but if you use Mortal Kombat as a source of inspiration, i find that Lynn 'Red' Williams who played Jaxx in Annihilation would be perfect. He even looks exactly like that pic you posted LOL.

And the only pic i'd really wanna change is Lambert. I just can't stand him. He was such a pussy version of Raiden the mighty asian god of thunder. The worst possible let down of that movie. He made Goro look convincing LOL :P If you need an old actor that could apear brittle and washed up but have MEGA acting talents for Sticks, why not go with Lance Henrikson?

Told ya it would piss you guys off. lol. I was being serious. I mean, I've seen the guy do one semi-serious role, in which he did...a small amount of martial arts. He's got that cocky smart ass thing that I always pictured Danny Rand as having, he's got the build for the part, and has made it obvious that he's good at, atleast, using choreography to be a fighter. Whether or not he can actually fight, I don't know. But who can these days.
@theface. I disagree. Fox is nothing like Affleck in my opinion. Everyone role I've seen him in which, as Ror pointed out isn't that many, he has done spectacular in. In speed racer, I didn't even know it was him, until I saw his name on the credits. IMO, that's good acting when people don't even realize who you are under some sunglasses. He does excellent in lost and has since the first freakin' episode. I haven't seen Vantage point to know.
@Shaman. I will never use Mortal Kombat as a reference point for casting. I actually used Christopher Lambert from Highlander, but though the white haired picture from Mortal Kombat would show some relation. All the acting in the Mortal Kombat movies was downright awful. Your right though, the guy who played Jaxx does look like him. But, I'd prefer an actor, who can act. Not strictly look tough. I see Shemar Moore on television every week, and he's one of my favorite characters on that show. I've seen him in a few movies, playing the good guy, and the hard ass, and the sensitive romantic husband type, mix those into one and you have your Cage, I know he's a little lighter skinned than Luke Cage was. But dammit if Don Cheadle aint shorter and hairier than Jim Rhodes. lol. Lance Henriksen is a good actor. But, could he jump around doing all of the martial arts training and stuff, like I said David Carradine would've been perfect for this role, may he rest in peace.

Holy crap! I did a casting almost identical to this one!

I too picked Caridine as Stivk. Who knew unconventional sex practices could be dangerous?

I could actually see Scott playing Fist, not someone I'd pick, but not bad. I think he is perfect for one character and in my mind the only actor for the job,

Booster Gold!

I take on board what you say about matthew fox, i think you make a fair point in his corner, but to me i just dont see daredevil when i look at him and i dont think he could handle the role. i could see him as Matt Murdock's father (we've all seen the advert where he's boxing). I think the actor playing daredevil needs to be more naturally athletic and more enigmatic and i just dont see that from Matt Fox.

Edit:

Both Jason Statham and Clive Owen have been mentioned in other people's fan casts which i think are both better shouts, mainly due to the fact that they have that enigmatic nature, i'm not saying i would cast them i'm just trying to prove my point.

Yeah, i did enjoy Stifler in Bulletproof monk so i guess he'd do fine. He would just have to exceed our expectations though. And yes, Moore is definitely the better actor LOL no contest! And honestly, i followed Kung-Fu: the legend continues and Carradine had trouble walking, let alone fighting. He was so "slo-mo" my mother could have taken him. No disrispect intended. He was just over the hill IMO. And i would love for an actor as good as Henriksen but as agile as Tony Jaa... there aren't any. Obviously they'd have to get a lookalike stunt double. But i'd love to just sit there and absorb Lance's teaching... it would be magic!!!

Dude, why would I wanna see Daredevil fight Bullseye and kingpin again and Elektra again? When I can watch him fight a really hot crazy chick...I can't find much on gladiator to even suggest someone. Tombstone I thought was pretty much a Spiderman villian..Matador...how about GAEL GARCIA BERNAL. Lady Bullseye? hmm...how bout the hot jap chick from Sin City.

bodykount80- Normally i'd say you're out of your freakin mind but... i dunno, he would add popularity to the character. Would black people say that he isn't black enough though???
Joslezio85
Joslezio85 - 6/16/2009, 5:58 PM
honestly, he's darker than the character i picked for him. he's just i dunno, a different skin tone than most black people. not trying to sound weird. But, I've seen most of his movies, and he never comes off as street tough, hard life, thug guy...get what I'm saying? He's got the build, he's a decent actor. But, I personally don't think it'd work.

You know what? I would accept Sean William Scott as Iron Fist. I'd even go as far as to say that he would be a very good choice for the role. Now I don't know much about the character, but isn't he supposed to be some cocky rich guy?
