Okay so I'm a big gamer I'm an Xbox 360 fan but I've got a PS3 too so I'm not really rooting for either side as long as the games they produce are enjoyable anyway....
There are a few decent Wolverine/X-Men games around but I see Wolverine as a character that could have a lot more done for him in games than what has been done.
I enjoyed Wolverines revenge (PS2) and X-Men Origins Wolverine (Xbox 360) both X-Men Legends (PS2) and other Marvel games featuring Wolverine but I've always felt there was a lot more you could do with a character like Wolverine who has a healing factor and can survive things other characters in game history cant.
The title for my game would be:

Missions
Plot - Weapon X are being taken down by units of S.H.E.I.L.D on orders from Nick Fury but he is suffering criticism from his seniors for the lack of available proof needed to take them down, The chiefs of Department K decide they should kill certain Weapon X projects to ensure their risk of being proven guilty.
Wolverine is hunted down by Weapon X, with Fury giving him information Wolverine decides to track down the chiefs of Department K and bring an end to the weapon X project once and for all leading him to come into conflict with other enemies and taking on other missions to help people.
With the main mission set of the game being the Weapon X missions there are loads of other missions for example:
Like GTA and Saints Row there are more missions to tackle which tie in with the main each being based on Wolverines friends and foes and lasting 10 - 30 missions each.
Sabretooth - Lead to believe that Weapon X wants him to be their sole survivor and so he decides, but in fact they are going to develop one more project in secret, He knows that Wolverine is his main threat and decides to take him down himself, with leads to Wolverine having to travel most of the map searching for Sabretooth while coming across pain and suffering from their history as enemies.
The final mission of the Sabretooth story lines would end in Wolverine tracking Sabretooth to the Canadian forest and battling. (30 missions)
Omega Red - Escaping from Weapon X's grasp Omega is killing innocents and nearly beats Iron Fist and Echo to death while travelling through New York, With Doctor Strange helping Wolverine with info and acting as a guide to the player (Wolverine) during these set of missions with lead Wolverine to four fights with Omega Red through New York ending with a 'through the air' battle while the two fight while falling from a plane miles up in the sky. (20 missions)
The Diner - While in a diner just outside of New York the player witness's a group of Drug dealers abuse a young waitress and beat up an Asian man in front of his girlfriend just before Wolverine stops the fight and takes the dealers hand off, Wolverine then taking info from the dealers goes to their boss and be forced to kill him and his bodyguards. (2 missions)
Silver Samurai - While in Japan Wolverine will be attacked by 100 Ninja, After this battle Wolverine concludes that they are Kenuichio Harada the Silver Samurai's Ninja footmen and goes to question him on the attack in which we find that since leaving Hydra for a more settled life he is being black mailed by Hydra, Wolverine is sent to investigate but finds out that in reality it is Kenuichio behind any attack on Logan while in Japan as he wants a price for handing him over to Weapon X leading to a big fight in Silver Samurai's Dojo. (15 missions)
Lady Deathstrike - Before Wolverine can leave Japan he is viciously attacked by Deathstrike (a battle the player can not win) she believes Logan has sold her out to S.H.E.I.L.D as a Weapon X project to which Wolverine denies this is not a set of missions but merely a single mission which is a Fight on the streets (the second part you can win). (2 missions)
Deadpool - Once the player chooses to go back to New York after the Japan missions, Wolverine is on a private Stark plane when Deadpool (who has hijacked the plane and has left it on auto pilot) stabs a Katana through the seat leaving Wolverine stuck in the chair while Deadpool insanely rambles that Weapon X are after him and he'd rather take himself out but he cant due to his healing factor, This set of missions deals with Wolverine skydiving from the Plane when Deadpool remembers he didn't put the auto pilot on and having to track him down to an old booby-trapped warehouse. (20 missions)
Sauron - Wolverine gets a call from Beast asking him to head to The Savage Land in search of Iceman and Kitty Pryde who were taking a team of young mutant students on a team building trip but have not been heard from, Once in the Savage Land its obvious to Wolverine that Sauron's mutants are behind the missing X-Men. This mission will involve using Wolverines tracking skills. (15 missions)
The Biker Gang - Wolverine gets a call from an old friend, The friend is an old man Wolverine met years ago in a bar he was once a biker and now needs Wolverines help in saving his son from a rival biker gang after his son took over as leader of his. This mission includes wolverine scouting the streets on his bike looking for bikers and following them until he finds the rival bikers hideout and then breaking in to the hideout to save the son. (5 missions)
Captain America - At Avengers Tower the player is asked by Captain America to investigate the strange disappearance's in the New York city Club scene, Due to the fact that this could get violent Cap thinks it would be better for Wolverine to handle alone.
It turns out that the people disappearing are being abducted and taken to an underground testing unit of an abandoned Weapon X project (making a super soldier serum that would let the user stronger than Captain America and allowing them to never tire again) Wolverine kills the lab workers and then find's a insane Nuke who is the finale boss of this mission set. (5 missions)
These missions wouldn't run one after the other like I've put them unless you wanted to play them like that as it is on the GTA map with a symbol stating where to go for each mission you could go straight to Japan and do those missions as that would be the only way to unlock the Deadpool missions but you could dive straight into the Omega Red missions and such.
This game would have Wolverine as a member of The X-Men, The Avengers but would see him playing solo while having references and cameos from Avengers and X-Men.
Locations
It would be a sandbox game similar to the GTA games with different area's such as New York, a large Canada area including forests and cities and Japan, These areas would be reached by going to airports or taking certain road's and boats.
You could cruise around on different Motorcycles and you could get Quinjets or the Blackbird from Avengers Tower and The Xavier School.
The New York area would include Westchester County with a fully explorable Xavier Institute and other locations such as the ruined Avengers Mansion, Stark/Avengers Tower, Bars, the Queens area and many more.
Canada would have large forest area's and bars and the Howlett Estate would be explorable.
Japan would include a large city and sushi bars, outside of the city the Japanese mountains would be explorable.
The Savage Land which would have Dinosaurs and mutant inhabitants as well as the large jungle area.
Wolverine would also be able to purchase Safe houses around the maps that would mainly be apartments but here you can change your outfit, sleep, check through collectable items and keep your bikes in the garages.
Side Missions and Game Add on's
While this game like GTA games would have civilians walking the streets there would also be hero's like Spider Man swinging around but he would only be interactive while at Avengers Tower, Other Avengers would also be interactive here such as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and so on as well as the X-Men at the Xavier School certain characters would have small Side Missions that would include joining them to fight one of their enemies this could also mean game add on's purchased in store or online.

Ultimate Wolverine
First Appearance Wolverine
Age of Apocolypse Wolverine (Weapon X)
Weapon X Experiment
Old Man Logan
Costumes can be changed in the Wardrobes of your room's in Avengers Tower, The X Mansion and Safe Houses across the maps.
Collectables could be found and collected around the maps, Collectables such as Street Clothes like:
Biker Jackets
Leather Jackets
Vests
Shirts
Jeans
And other collectables like comics and Character Statues.
So anyway that's my idea what do you guys think?
