Some of the Greatest Characters in comics haven’t been seen in years, and others never even made the jump from the big screen to the pages to fully develop themselves. There are many great characters out their hero and villain alike who should make their triumphant return. In this article I will give you a list of characters, heroes and villains alike and reasons as to why they should be given another chance.

Nuclear Man

The mutated clone of Superman, who’s never made his way into the comics after he debuted in Superman IV. I like this character because he has so much potential in becoming not only a threat to Superman but also Firestorm, Captain Atom and the rest of the Justice League. Imagine if Nuclear Man forged an UNHOLY Alliance with the likes of Zod, Henshaw, Brainiac, Bizarro, or even Darkseid. DC Comics could keep his movie origin, but make him much smarter than his movie counterpart.

Ben Reilly

The clone of Peter Parker, the onetime Scarlet Spider turned Spider-Man. We last saw the web head succumbing to death in the arms of the original Spider-man who he saw as his brother, Peter Parker. With a few other minor cameo appearances such as in an MC2 issue of Spider-girl where he was just a dark figure going into to a meeting. All though to the reader it seemed that Reilly survived after all, but only part of him did, in his son Reilly Tyne the man who became Dark Devil and trained his cousin May in the art of being a superhero. Ben’s resurrection is long over do, and many fans show a lot of support for bringing the once hero back from the dead.

Conduit

The one time friend turned enemy of both Clark Kent and Superman, Conduit is a great villain to make a return to the pages of comics. DC’s answer to Omega Red, Conduit possesses two cables for ensnaring his enemies in which he can also channel Kryptonite radiation through, along with body armor, Super Strength, and flight combined with his knowledge of Superman’s secret identity; conduit has earned his place in my Comics Must bring back list.

Superman X

From the animated series Legion of Superheroes, Superman X was created to act as a cross between Superboy, Eradicator and Mon-El (Valor). Created by the robot K3NT, Superman X has many powers that would transfer over well to comics. Being that K3NT merged Superman’s DNA with that of Kryptonite on a molecular level so that he wouldn’t be in danger if he came into contact with the radioactive substance, He can create Kryptonite blasts and kryptonite constructs. DC should definitely consider bringing this Man of Tomorrow from Saturday morning tv into comics continuum.

Hal Jordan as Parallax

Though comics have brought Parallax back in the body of Hal Jordan on several occasions, I believe it could be done in such a way that it becomes a permanent thing. There are millions of other universes in DC’s Multiverse or even cloning. If the Fear Entity were to merge with someone who is an expert in cloning, he could easily create a clone of Hal Jordan to permanently bond with. Parallax has proven to be a force to be reckoned with especially if possessing Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan has already proven himself capable of controlling the rings from each of the other corps. If Parallax were to clone him and merge, he could become strong enough to access all of the rings at one time (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Sapphire, Black, White and Alan Scott’s Star Heart ring) giving him the power to recreate the Universe in his own image… The Image of Fear!

Deathstorm

The last we saw of Deathstorm was in the pages of Brightest Day when Deadman set off Firestorm wiping out Deathstorm, Anti-Monitor and a few others using the White power ring. Deathstorm is not only a Firestorm villain but a villain of the entire DC Universe. His potential has yet to be realized, and there are so many other stories DC could use him in.

That’s all I could think of at the present time. Of course I’m more of a DC fan than I am Marvel so many of you will probably have a problem with the fact that I didn’t include more Marvel characters. If that’s the case, get over it this is my list not yours.

I have a huge collection of both movies and comics... As a kid and teenager I collected Marvel but within the past few years I've mainly gotten into DC Comics particularly Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Firestorm. Other favorites of mine are Outburst and The Ray. I've recently started getting back into Star Trek which TNG was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I'm married to a beautiful woman named Elizabeth have 2 girls (Marissa 9 and Alexandria 2) and a son who's a year old named Edward. I own my own handyman and lawn care business.
