My Take On whats Wrong With Superman Movies

With Pictures On How I Would Fix The Mistakes.

Fanfic.

Superman is the best Superhero of all time, he is powerful and his powers are awesome. With that said his movies suck sure Superman the movie part one and two were great but he never really punched any one at full power, and I won't even bring up part three and four. Now superman Returns gave us a real clear view that a man can fly in that movie while showing his powers here and their, (that
airplane part was jaw dropping) but why would they base the movie after the end of part two is stupid. Now with that said here is how I would fix the Superman Movie reboot.
First problem: his size.

we are show pictures and cartoons of a huge man with ripping muscle that fit his suite and gives him a real larger than life feel.

Sadly in the movies we get this.

Superman Should be this size, so when he has the suite on it would look great and look right off the comic, not right out of Walmart.

Second Problem: Lois Lane.

She needs to be HOT!!! and also witty, She needs to have a tom boy way to her but very sexy and lady like. The four women to play the role in recent times are these girls and I would say that, Margot Kidder played the role well but damn I feel that she is a mix of pretty and very ugly if that works. Teri Hatcher was great looking and IMO the best looking Lois Lane to date. Kate Bosworth is THE worst lois lane ever!!! she looks great as a blonde but in Superman Returns she looked to be 75 lbs also a pure geek. Erica Durance is MmMmMm plays the role perfect but needs better acting skills, good acting on t.v but won't hold up on the big screen.

mila kunis can act and has the look also has the body type for the picture above. Not saying to cast her but just saying thats the look I would use.

Third Problem: lex Luthor look.

The cartoon picture below shows him to have a strong way to him and also he looks to be in public power the way it should be. now Gene Hackman played the role in a very comic way by that I mean trys to be funny not the way to go. Kevin Spacey Was way way to over board when he played lex made him look more crazy then evil, now Michael Rosenbaum nailed the evil role perfect but to me did not have the man look that lex needs.

John Ham looks great and epic in the picture, bad edit on the bald head but you can see with the picture above that he looks the role, also in the reboot they need to make Lex a public figure maybe Mayor of metroplis with a very evil mind who wants to run for president. Again not saying to cast him but just to show what he should look like. Also have him as a side villian for the the first two movies in the reboot, then in the third gave him is epic robotic suite as the main bad guy...

Forth problem: Villin

Now call me crazy but I would use Metallo as a main villian and then have him "killed off" only to come back as the Cyborg Superman in the Reboot all thanks to Lexcorp. It would be a great tie in by adding lex to the mix, and also a little easter egg in a way for comic book fans to see cyborg superman.

That would Be Epic.

My last thing is his face, I leave with this question Should he have a Mask?? They say this reboot will be more "real" so by him doing a curl in his hair and removeing his glasses in the past worked it won't work it todays world. Think about it he needs to hide his face so answer me this Mask or no Mask?

There's a reason people aren't muscular like the comics. People aren't built like that. And if they are they're professional bodybuilders, not professional actors. The only person that needs to find Lois Lane attractive is Clark Kent, as long as she nails the character who gives a [frick] what she looks like? The villains and the portrayal of Lex could be better, I'll give you that.

The mask issue. Superman says himself, that if he doesn't wear a mask people think he has nothing to hide. They think he's just a guy with no secret identity that waits for trouble and stops it. And it's not just the glasses and hair that separate Clark Kent and Superman. As Clark he carries himself completely differently. He speaks differently. He has a different personality.

Superman doesn't wear a mask because nobody (including people with off-the-scale IQ) thinks he has a secret identity. Nobody really sees his face closly and clearly enough to realize it's Superman. clark is supposed to have a completely different personality where no one would guess he was the Man of Steel. Haven't you heard of the Mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent.
As for Supermans body type I must ask you something: How long did it take you to find that picture of the super buff Man of Tomorrow. Superman isn't normally portrayed as that bulky. He's normally more toned down. It depends on the artist, though.
By the way, Cyborg and Metallo shouldn't be thhe same person and I prefer good acting over hotness anyday for Lois. She isn't meant as a head turning character. Superman is humble remember not a playboy.

Ok I agree with a lot of your points. Routh had a very tiny build, he had no muscles. PLUS his acting sucked. He seems to possess this very "rigid" acting style and he acts the same in all his roles. He sucks.

Now I think I speak for everyone when I say- NONE OF US WANT ANOTHER MOVIE WHERE SUPERMAN GETS WEAKENED BY KRYPTONITE AND CAN'T USE HIS POWERS TO THE FULL EXTENT. I'm sick of Supes not being allowed to throw a [frick]ing punch. I mean...for [frick]'s sake. There seems to be this unwritten-rule stating- SUPERMAN AINT ALLOWED TO FIGHT.

Well I pray to god the father almighty that Snyder can fix the mess and make at least a half decent Superman film.

I agree with you about Margot Kidder that bitch is ugly. It IS true that Supes didn't fall in love with her based on her looks but still...I want something NICE to look at while watching the movie.

I don't agree about Supes wearing a mask, that'd be a terrible idea.

Lex needs to be portrayed properly. All the movie versions of Lex have been absolutely mind-blowingly LAME. I want the Lex Luthor of the COMICS in this film...the corrupt billionaire. Not the lame land-grabber we've always gotten in the films.

@RoscoeFolgers

Look at how Chris Evans, Christian Bale, and Chris Hemsworth all bulked up for their roles. Brandon Routhe looks like he just slapped on spandex and said he was Superman. Sorry, but if the guy playing Superman is puny, then I can't believe he is The Man of friggin' Steel.

Evans, Bale, and Hemsworth bulked up considerably. But they still look nothing like anything close to that example.

Still, their size would fit much better in the Superman costume than Routhe did in Returns.

mask? you are kidding, right? he doesn't need a mask to be unrecognizable. read earth one.
indo@ if you look at the extras in returns you will see the guy was massive. it shows him hitting the gym. the material of the suit was the problem. it didn't show his muscles.

Superman doesn't need to be that bulky to be honest. He doesn't get his strength from muscle mass, it's because he's a fricking ALIEN. I think Routh had a great build for Superman. It is also ridiculous to keep hearing ppl bitch about the fact that we never see superheroes as large and musclebound as the comics b/c in reality, if they were that large they'd move like a [frick]ing snail. For Batman to be as quick and agile as he is, one quick punch with the way he's built in the comics, would shred his muscles. Yes they need to be muscular, but not to ridiculous proportions like the comics. Geez
