Hello boys and girls niklander here with yet another fancast but this time it'a fancast of MATTEL'S toy action figures.
Josh McGrath is a 19-year-old fictional extreme sports teen star, whose parents died some time ago. He was later adopted by his father's best friend and partner, Jefferson Smith, who works in an extreme sports equipment manufacturing company which is in reality a facade for a secret counter-intelligence agency known as N-Tek.
While Josh was visiting his stepfather at work, Psycho broke into the facility. The young McGrath faced him and battled against this super-powered cyborg, but in the middle of the fight, he was severely injured and exposed to a swarm of microscopic nanomachines, known to the company as "Nano-Tech Max." The nanomachines entered Josh's body and, as they ran out of energy, started dying, causing Josh to die too. In order to save Josh's life, his foster father, Jefferson Smith, agrees to submit Josh to a high proportion of the transphasic energy (nicknamed "t-juice"), which the machines need to survive. This saves his life and also gives him superpowers. As a result, Josh takes on the identity of Max Steel and fights against super-powered villains, mainly Mr. Dread, Psycho's evil boss, and the members of his Spy organization.
Confirmations of a movie surfaced when Taylor Lautner[TWILIGHT SAGA,ABDUCTION] had signed up to star in the movie as the titular character. Afterwards Taylor dropped out to make STRETCH ARMSTRONG[I dont think this movie will happen] but I am glad that Taylor Lautner left Max Steel[HE SUCKS].
Well this fancast will come with a story telling my vision of the film[Imagine James Bond combined with Six Million Dollar Man kinda style]
THE STORY
In the movie we will stick with the series origin[Josh becoming Max and dealing with his double life] Josh McGrath is a 20 year old who enjoys sports and he has a relationship with a girl named Laura Chen.One night while Josh visits hiis step father n-tek building he finds out that there is a man inside who is trying to steal something Josh tries to stop and he fails the man who is revealed to be Psycho in retaliation unleashes a swarm of nanomachines who slowly kill Josh. His stepfather in order to save him agrees to save him by giving him transphasic energy in order for Josh to survive. The result is Josh is given super strength abillities and invulnerability but there is a catch if the energy is used for too long Josh could die.The scientist who saved Josh who is named Berto Martinez tells him that he can create a device to refill energy instantly. Josh claims the persona of Max Steel and he wants to find Psycho for what he did to him. He is trained by Rachel Leeds an N-Tek operative to hand to hand combat and firearms.Max is also facing trouble with his girlfriend who believes that he is avoiding her. Max wants to tell her the truth but he is conflicted. Max gets his first mission. His mission is to find the terrorist L'Etranger who wants to use a bio weapon to destroy major cities. Max along with Rachel find him in New Orleans but L'Etranger escapes at the nick of time. Rachel by gathering information learns that L'Etranger will destroy New York City by detonating the bomb in the Empire State building. Max goes to fight L'Etranger alone[Rachel is trying to disarm the bomb] L'Etranger is using a device which fires electricity Max after a long fight knockc L' Etranger out of a window Max tries to save him but he falls to his death. Rachel disarms the bomb and they complete the mission. Max at the end reveals that he is an agent to Laura they kiss while a man watches them and records the footage. The footage is sent to Dread. Psycho steps in the room and Dread tells him that L'Etranger has failed to capture the boy so he tells Psycho that he has a new mission to capture Max Steel alive Psycho nods and walks out of the room.
THE CAST
DOUGLAS BOOTH AS JOSH McGRATH/MAX STEEL: This is one was tricky because it is hard to find a 19 year old actor who looks like Max. Then I watched LOL[Lame movie sisters dont know to pick movies] but Douglas Booth in that movie was ok and by the looks and acting I believe that Booth will own this role. Douglas Booth is an upcoming actor with films such as Romeo and Juliet and Noah.
LAURENCE FISHBURNE AS JEFFERSON SMITH: Josh/Max's stepfather who adopts him after his parents[Josh's father was the leader or N-Tek] die in an accident. Fishburne is no stranger to action films[He has starred in THE MATRIX TRILOGY ARMORED ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13] but his role in the movie Mission Impossible: 3 and Akeelah and the Bee made me believe that Fishburne would bring the strict but caring stepfather of Max Steel.
STANA KATIC AS RACHEL LEEDS: Well that was a no brainer Stana is a badass actress and her work in Castle and her role in THE SPIRIT convinced me that she can play an agent training Max Steel. Plus she voiced Talia Al Ghul in Arkham City.
MADS MIKKELSEN AS L' ETRANGER: Mikkelsen is no stranger to villainous roles he was the Bond villain in Casino Royale and he is right now the new Hannibal Lecter in the tv series Hannibal.[Anthony Hopkins got bested boys admit it] Mikkelsen has depth as an actor and he would bring the mystery surrounding L'Etranger.
LIU YIFEI AS LAURA CHEN: Yifei has starred in movie like THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM THE ASSASINS AND WHITE VENGEANCE. Yifei is an extradonary actress plus she is smoking hot.
KARL URBAN AS DREAD: Urban in my opinion is an underrated actor his role as Judge Dredd was awesome in the reboot and he is now playing Bones in STAR TREK. Urban would nail the role of the villain just like he did in Priest.
ROBERT SHEEHAN AS BERTO MARTINEZ: A young scientist who saves Josh's life and later close friend. Sheehan is known for his roles in SEASON OF THE WITCH as Nathan Young in MISFITS and he will star in the upcoming movie THE MORTAL INSTUMENTS:CITY OF BONES alongside Lily Collins. He is an actor who can bring the comedic side in the movie but at the same time beign serious.
CHRIS HEMSWORTH AS PSYCHO AKA SMILEY: Psycho not much is known from his past but it is known that he is half man half machine and he is responsible for the creation of Max Steel. His right arm is mechanic which thanks to nerve signals can be turned into a plasma weapon and a claw. His face is also mechanical resembing a human skull hence the nickname Smiley which is given by Max. Hemsworth is well known for playing Thor but he has proven to be a versatile actor[THE PERFECT GETAWAY is a great example]. I think he would be amazing in the role of the villain.
