Nolan's Nightwing

An update of the previous concept I posted.

I posted an earlier concept of where I thought the Nolan Gotham should head next and it was met with mostly good reviews. I updated it to get even better reviews.

First up is updated John Robin Blake. I added more utility to his suit and updated his goggles. You'll note that JGL has grown out his hair for the role.

Next up is the new poster. Nothing great here, just a reusing of what already exists.

You should call it DAWN. In reference to Harvey Dents " the night is darkest just before the dawn"

Am I alone in in thinking that we are to believe he would become BATMAN not NIGHTWING or ROBIN or RED ROBIN or AZRAEL. I mean, the whole point Bruce was trying to make is that "Anyone can be Batman. He's a symbol." So he wouldn't be something else. He'd be Batman and carry the legacy. Then again, i thought it was ridiculous that "Anyone can..." because the point of Dark Knight was that not anyone, only, Bruce, should mask up. Remember those morons in the cowls?

This really is some great work!
The only things that I'm not crazy about for this design is the radar on the arm (it looks clunky) and the small mask. Although the mask goes with the character, it doesn't provide essential protection without a full helmet, or at least covering up the neck and up to the top of the forehead.

So, I could see it being Nightwing first, IF we went this route... At FIRST, Blake decides that he'll use what Batman started, without having to be Batman. Sorta like "The Battle For The Cowl" story. He'd keep the Bat Signal, so people will think it's Batman saving Gotham, not Nightwing! Then Todd (the kid Batman Begins) sees Batmans gone, and decides to take the mantle. BUT, he starts using lethal force, tainting Batmans "Legacy", so Nightwing has to fight "Batman" to save the original legacy that Bruce made. After the battle is over, Blake sees that Gotham NEEDS BATMAN! -End of movie is the last scene of Batman # 687, Dick (in the movie, it's Blake) as Batman preparing to take down the bad guy (The Scarecrow in the comic). GREAT ENDING!!!!
