Powers and Abilities

One of The Hulk's most well known powers is his incredible strength. Except for his grey incarnation, The Hulk can lift 100 tons when calm. The grey Hulk starts off with 75 tons when calm. In either case, the madder The Hulk gets, the stronger he gets caused by an extra surge of adrenaline. This does not cause an additional gain in mass (an item which is shown only in the 2003 "HULK" movie). To date, there is no known limits to The Hulk's strength. He has been known to support a 150 billion ton mountain range during the 1st Secret Wars.

The Hulk has a very unusual mental ability that most other mortals don't have: He has the ability to see ghosts, spirits & such. Another ability is that he can, out of instinct, always find the area in New Mexico which was the site of the 1st Gamma Bomb explosion, which is what turned Banner into The Hulk in the 1st place. He also has shown the ability to resist mind control.

The Hulk is a very durable guy. Although he isn't invunerable, he does have a high resistance to extreme heat and cold, bullets, fire, grenades, artillery shells, concussive forces & such. The Hulk does have his limits, though. He could not survive "ground zero" of a nuclear explosion. If he is injured, The Hulk has one of the greatest & fastest healing abilities in the Marvel Universe. He can heal in a matter of minutes from wounds that would prove deadly or incapacitating to nearly everyone else.

Banner & The Hulk just recently discovered another power that The Hulk had, and that is the ability to breath under water. Over the years, The Hulk's body has developed a gland that allows him to breath fluids. This is also handy in another way, since it allows The Hulk's lungs to be filled with fluids when he is under water, thus avoiding decompression and nitrogen narcosis

Did you know that The Hulk can travel up to 3 miles in just one leap? He has also been know to make a verticle leap to the outer edges of the atmosphere.

Powers and Abilities

Asura is a demigod and former Guardian General. As such he is an adept and experienced combatant. This not withstanding, Asura possesses an incredible level of superhuman physical ability. His capacity for physical strength is potentially limitless due to the fact that his strength increases proportionally with his level of emotional stress, anger in particular. This has been reflected throughout the story in various dialog such as during the final confrontation with the Vlitra Core where Yasha comments, "It looks like you when it's angry." which Asura retorts, "But is it as strong?" During his second altercation with Asura, Deus even made the assessment "I have underestimated the power of your wrath." Among other abilities such as fist-channeled Mantra blasts, his durability, regeneration, endurance and Mantra also increase in proportion to his temper as well as generating four extra arms when his Mantra activates, further increasing his physical strength.

Asura's level of strength is normally limited by emotional stimuli. When Asura witnessed the death of the little village girl, he reached a scale of power on which he managed to decimate an entire Shinkoku armada with Septentrion-class Mizar ships and challenge the Brahmastra directly. This turn of events transformed him into a feral, golden-coated monstrosity armed with razor-sharp claws--Berserker Form. Unlike his usual form, Asura's signature extra arms manifested as massive, phantom limbs made of concentrated Mantra generated from the portals on his back. The arms, including Asura himself, are capable of releasing inconceivable volumes of Mantra. However, the sheer intensity of such power proved detrimental to Asura's physical well-being and was never seen again in that form. Although it should be noted that Asura displayed he still retained the ability to generate the larger Mantra arms even after the fact.

But it was during the final assault on Gohma Vlitra that Asura achieved his highest degree of power. After being bathed in the Mantra released from the Brahmastra by Mithra, Asura becomes Mantra Asura. In this state, Asura's rage is at its most focused, harnessing the excess Mantra into power and increasing the size of his arms to hulking, armored proportions. These arms possess the strength of a thousand arms and can vent jets of Mantra for increased maneuverability and striking power. In this state, He (along with Yasha) were able to defeat Gohma Vlitra and the Vlitra Core.

It should be noted, that Asura's powerful arms allow him to catapult over incredible distances (as seen in "Episode 16: Power Struggle"), but he also displayed the ability to vent jets of Mantra for increased speed in his Berserker and Mantra Forms. Such feats were sufficient enough to match Yasha, and Deus.

Asura has shown a high resistance to physical damage nearly regardless of the cause, and has also shown resistance to extreme temperatures, high-yield explosions, and the like. In addition to the regeneration of limbs, and damaged or destroyed areas of his body at an amazing rate, Asura also has superhuman endurance.

Anyone play Asura Wrath? I played the demo and liked it but was afraid that it would be to much "button command" over "skilled combat.

From what Asura is capable of in the game, he would destroy the Hulk.

Asura is actually like a Silverage character. Even if Hulk does get stronger the matter he gets, it would take him a long time before he got to asura's level or Rage and destructive power.
