Random Avengers: Age of Ultron and Beyond Ideas

Thoughts, theories, and ideas about the future of the MCU.

So, I've been having some of these ideas for a while now, and decided to finally sit down and write them all out.  Please give feedback.

DISCLAIMER:  I know several of these ideas have already been debunked, so save your time if you plan on being like "no shit that's not happening," because, no shit, that's not happening.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Stinger

The first idea I've had for a while pertains to Black Panther, Ant-man, possibly Namor, Hulk, and a few others.

If they decide to do Planet Hulk, or some type of Guardians/Hulk cross over, I've felt for a while that, during the events of A2, Hulk should totally lose his shit and innocents should die.  I've had this theory since before Ultron was even announced, so it made a little more sense when I thought the possibility that they'd be fighting Thanos on another planet was in the mix.  Either way, Hulk kills innocent people.  This also has to have some detrimental impact on the ocean.  (More on that later)  Avengers stop him and he returns to his human form.  Avengers save the day, blah blah etcetera.  The important thing about my idea is the post-credits scene.  Assuming they even still do those that matter anymore, which they've been harping on the comedy stingers for a while.

So the post-credits scene would be Iron Man assembling the Illuminati.  He would walk into a room full of people we would be meeting in Phase 3, so it would be an excellent way to introduce them.  Now, in the comics, traditionally Mr. Fantastic served as the Scientist Supreme.  No reason Hank Pym couldn't do that in the MCU.  Boom, you've got Ant-Man intro'd.  Black Panther, King of Wakanda is also there.  Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme.  BlackBolt, Inhuman Leader.  And, (i know the rights are up in the air regarding Universal) Namor, The Sub-mariner.   Boom Boom Boom.  You've just introduced your whole Phase 3 line-up and put them in a room with Tony Stark which makes the general audience get iron boners.  No need to worry about Professor X because there are no mutants.

The Illuminati then vote to launch Banner into space, Setting up Planet Hulk or Guardians/Hulk whatever.

DISCLAIMER:  I still know they keep saying they're not doing that.   These are just ideas that I think would be cool.

Ant-Man
This particular bit of ideas has been hit particularly hard with the release of the Ant-Man synopsis, and the fact that apparently we just pretend Incredible Hulk never happened. I still think it's interesting and bares sharing.  One thing I found particularly interesting about Phase 1 is how well it was all tied together.  Similar to how it's done in the Ultimate universe, everything sort of tracks its origins back to Captain America.

So, with that in mind, I considered how would Hank Pym discover the Pym Particles.  Then, I thought about the Hulk.  Hulk goes from a normal sized man to an oversized, nearly indestructible monster.  How?

That's the question Hank Pym wants to answer.  Working for SHIELD, Dr. Pym teams up with Dr. Samuel Sterns to study Hulk's Gamma-irradiated blood.  By this point, Sterns is in full on Leader mode with the big ass green head.  SHIELD has no idea that he willingly turned Blonski into the Abomination, he's just a scientist with a vested interest in solving the mysteries of the Gamma blood, in hopes of getting his appearence back to normal.

So, more or less, Hank Pym is able to isolate the mass-redistributing qualities of the Gamma-irradiated blood and Pym Particles are born.

You now have all the pieces in place for a good ant-man fued.  You've got a smart bad guy for him to go up against.  You could have Doc Samson running around doing his thing and get gamma'd up.  Leader could let the Abomination loose as part of whatever scheme he gets up to.  The possibilities are endless, and, once again, you've built another piece of a interconnected, cohesive universe.

I'm sure whatever Edgar Wright had planned makes this look like it was written in Crayon.

Another thing about Ant-Man I really wanted to see:
Since day one they've been talking about how Pym would be in the 60's and the movie would deal with Scott Lang taking the mantel.   I've really been hoping we see some like, super campy Batman '66 kinda Ant-man shit in the flashbacks.  All the costumes are just fabric and awesome and the villains (Egghead ftw) are ridiculous.

Captain America 3

This idea I've got the least fleshed out, but I've got some interesting tidbits and would love to get some input from you guys.  The title for my proposed Cap 3 would be Captain America: Man out of Time.  It would heavily involved the Time gem, although I feel it would kind of be shitty for Cap to have to carry 2 infinity stone movies, but this would be alot of fun, IMO.

I owe someone on this website credit and I apologize, because I don't remember who originally wrote an article saying the Cap sequel should be a teamup, and I believe they recommended Iron Man, but I could be wrong, but most of this was inspired by that idea.  No Iron Man, though.

Essentially,  Someone's been messing with the timeline, and it's causing Captain America to continuously be shifted back and forth between the WW2 and today.  In the 40's he teams up with the Invaders, comprised of Captain America, Bucky, Namor, The Human Torch, and maybe Union Jack, or even an older iteration of the Black Panther.  (And if you really want to dig deep, you can throw Orson  Randall in the mix.) The cool part of this is it allows you to throw alot of random Cap villains in.  Human Torch has already been on screen, so if you just keep it to the first 4, you really only have to introduce Namor.  Toro's douche and unnecessary.
You could also have the Howling Commandos kicking around some more.

So alot of the 40's timeline centers on Cap's relationship with Namor.  They kind of butt heads but are on the same side.  Anyways, Cap wakes up in the Modern Age, and he knows it's different but can't figure out why.

Namor then invades the surface, in response to whatever the Hulk did at the end of A2.

So, Namor is the villain of the Modern timeline and he's gotten ahold of the Time gem.

Obviously, there's lot's of problems fitting this into the timeline.   I mean, you could always just say it happened during the Hydra montage in The First Avenger, or you can have it be just time garbage from the Time Gem, but I'd like it to have more teeth.  Also, there were a lot of threads hanging in Cap 2, such as Crossbones, Falcon, and Arnim Zola.  You could probably squeeze those in but it would definitely be overkill.

DISCLAIMER:  I know Namor's movie rights are supposedly at Universal.  These are just ideas.

I believe that's the bulk of what I've been thinking on, and I'm glad to get it all out there to share with you guys.  As far as Planet Hulk or Guardians/Hulk, I haven't pondered it a great deal.  I love Planet Hulk and World War Hulk and would love to see them adapted.  However, if I had my way, Civil War would be Avengers 4 (after Thanos was 3), so it wouldn't be until Avengers 5 that you could do World War Hulk.   So, yeah.  That.

I've rambled on long enough, and look forward to your respones.  Thanks guys!

I think that Hulk point is right on the money. With what we have seen of Hulkbuster and multiple rumors that say Hulk won't stay on earth, it is highly likely that he goes full savage earthbreaker at one point (maybe betty dies off screen or something), they have to subdue him and they are left without their biggest gun in the final confrontation with Ultron. This would give more reliance on Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch too, with (at least) one less hero to worry about.

Cool, dude.

Yeah, I've always liked the idea that the Hulk's just nitroglycerin, y'know? Sooner or later, something's gonna f*ckin' blow up.

I mean, in the comics you had Reed, Tony, and the others sorta just sayin' "dude, you're f*cking errrrrrrrrrr'thang up, dude.. we're sending you to the f*cking moon, or some shit. Bustin' up streets, and whatnot.. ain't nobody got time for dat shit", and in the The Ultimates, it was somethin' similar.. they sorta just decided to drop a bomb on the dude to appeal to the public, because they blamed him for the loss of countless lives (not to mention an obscene amount of property damage), and the team's reputation was just in tatters.

Feige said If anyone made a Namor movie it would be Marvel Studios, they has a complicated ownership, probably akin to Hulk.

I like the first idea more than any other, but hate the idea of a GOTG/Hulk crossover film. I'd rather have a Planet Hulk movie after Guardians two and have the after credits scene feature the Guardians coming and picking Hulk up, saying that they need him to fight Thanos. The next movie would be A3 and Thanos would end up destroying Sakaar while he's gone.

I also don't see why people think a Planet Hulk movie wouldn't work because of Banner not appearing. It'd still be Ruffalo playing him and tbh general audiences wouldn't give a [frick]. I mean they'd come to see Hulk not Banner. I'd rather see that then a movie with mostly Banner tbh.

@GliderMan

I generally don't like the idea of one hero from one side of the MCU showing up in another's movie. I mean excusing Avengers, if Iron Man showed up and fought in Cap 3 I'd be pissed. It just irritates me I don't know exactly why. I guess its because it's almost like taking the shine away from one of the characters. The guardians and Hulk don't mesh to me anyway. I think Hulk deserves a solo film and the Guardians can do well without the Hulk.
