Hello everyone, all of you may know me as a fellow commentator here on CBM, but lately I've been toning down the comments as I have been working on my new short film, VIGILANTE!

The movie revolves around a young man named Blake (Rafael Carbonell) becomes a masked vigilante after he witnesses the killing of his brother swearing revenge on a small gang.



I have been working on this movie for about 40 days to be exact, maybe even a little more to try to develop a movie that has never been shown at the Action Film Challenge in Tampa FL. I took inspirations from Sam Raimi, Guy Ritchie, Death Wish, Danny Elfman, Batman, pretty much a lot was added into this movie but mainly from the heart and soul.

The movie opens July 14th in Ybor City FL at Muvico Starlight 20 at 7:00 PM. If anyone is in the Tampa area please let me know.


UPDATE: Anyone in the Tampa Bay area, it will be playing this Sunday after 5PM at Muvico Starlight 20 during the second session located in Florida. If not, the movie will be released online the NEXT DAY.

Cool stuff, Soto. I think the camera should move more during the action sequences (rather than staying at one point, like seen on 0:37), but other than that, this looks pretty good. Looking forward for more.

Epic awesomeness!!!! :) I'm in the movie (girl with the eye messed up lol) I'm also sotojuicemans wife and he is such an amazing director and very proffessional he worked very hard on this movie! So please everyone show this some love its a great action packed movie! :)

Haha I'm joking, that was pretty awesome for being an amatuer film. (No offense)

If you really want to get attention for this, I recommend maybe a couple more or at least one more trailer and I also recommend you put this on youtube. Since the Superhero genre is more popular then ever, people love this type of stuff.

He made a semi full length movie of batman. He has gotten a lot of good reviews and praise on that film.

I think last time I checked he only had a $500-700 budget!

With today's technology and prgrams, (I.E, sony vegas, after effects, hitfilm), making movies these days are a lot easier and cheaper!

Well anyways good job man, I'll defiantly watch this when it comes online.
