Chapter 3: OSCORP
*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP* I wake up almost instantly, and then fall off my bed, I look at the alarm clock...7:20 am, and today, is the field trip for Oscorp. I quickly grab my Einstein shirt and green jacket, putting on my black skinny jeans. As soon as I'm finished dressing up, I head for the washroom, and quickly brush my teeth, running and quickly kissing Aunt May goodbye. As soon as I head out, I quickly fix my hair, and scruff it up a little, heading to school. Davis catches up with me, when I get to school, I put my skateboard in my locker, walking into my class, ready for the field trip. I see Liz, and I smile, she smiles back at me.
We go in the school bus, and I sit beside Gwen, talking about how we're excited, but deep down inside, I know I have to snoop around Oscorp for answers about my father, as soon as we get off the bus, I wait for the intro by Dr. Otto Octavius, and look around as we're given the tour, he shows us a demonstration on his latest project, four mechanical tentacles, that are simply astonishing to look at. He shows us a quick film on how that will help him in his experiments in Oscorp, as the mechanical arms are made of an indestructible alloy. Once the tour is finished, I ask, "Dr. Octavius, do you mind? It's for the school paper" I hold my camera up, "Of course, Mr. Parker!" and the camera flashes. We are given a 20 minute break to eat our lunches, and I quickly sneak out, and explore Oscorp, and all of it's wonders and gadgets. I turn around quickly, and see a room, I quickly hide from a couple employees that decided to come back in. I look at the finger motions they do in order to unlock the door. I turn around quickly, and a couple of minutes pass by, they leave, and I quickly do the passcode, entering the locked door.
Inside, I see an aura of animals, from rhinos, to vultures, electric eels, and lizards, and tigers, etc. "This is the cross-species lab, here we do experiments with animals, and fuse it with human DNA." I turn around, and find a man, with one arm, wearing glasses, and a lab coat. The badge I see attached to him.. Is Dr. Curt Connors, "I-I-I'm sorry, my mistake, I didn't mean to intrud--" "It's fine," Dr. Connors interrupted, "It's nice students like yourselves take an interest in cross-species, most people call me a mad scientist, mocked by the community, and the employees who work around here, especially by my partner, who is an imbecile. His name is Dr. Otto Octavius, boastful that man is. Arrogant, saying his four arms will revolutionize the city... I'm sorry, for being rude, what's your name?" When he asks that question, I hesitate a little, "My name's Peter... Um, Peter, Benjamin Parker." I see Dr.Connors, frozen in disbelief, "Peter..?" As he is about to speak, I hear an explosion, we quickly run to see what the chaos is, and as we run to my class, Dr. Otto Octavius is seen laying unconscious, and all the other students are badly hit by the explosion, I see Liz, and Gwen, far over there, I run and jump over the leaking gasoline, trying to help both up, I'm cut by another explosion, and I get thrown back far.. My eyes slowly close.....
As soon, as my eyes open, I see all the destruction around me, and I feel a slight bite at my right hand, I shake it off, and try to get up slowly. I'm aided by Dr. Curt Connors, and we walk into safe arms of the ambulance. I turn my head up, and look at Oscorp, half of the building is still in smoke, then my head starts to hurt as soon as I think about Liz, I look around for her, but she is nowhere to be found. My stomach starts to hurt, and I fall faint to the ground. Leaving my eyes closed again....
