As of recent photo's of the kid, for Static/Virgil Hawkins, I choose
Jaden Smith, He surprised me both acting and talent wise in the new Jackie Chan revision of the Karate Kid.
By 2013-14, (which is when I'm guessing it would be made realisticly) he'd be the right age and look, he's got the look now basically, and I think could bring a good face to the character of Virgil Hawkins.
For GEAR/Richie Foley: virgils friend, i chose ALexander Gould; My reasoning is one because he'll play a contemporary to Virgil's actor age wise, and two, he's a brilliant actor, work branching from voice acting for Nemo when he was small, to acting on the show WEEDS now.
For Virgil's Father Robert Hawkins i chose (Like Cat) Tyler Perry, he has the presence maturity and wisdom i saw in Dr. Hawkins' character
For Virgils Sister Sharon, I choose Keke Palmer.
What I rememeber about Sharon is that she was hilarious, and I think Keke for the amount of time she's in the movie could deliver in playing a funny big sister to static
For She-Bang, the super human experiment (DC's Super soldier) I choose Dana Davis from Heroes, she has the athletic ablity, and amazing acting.
For Rubberband man I chose Lee Thompson Young from smallville/Flashfoward/famous jett jackson
For Hotstreak, I choose Cameron Gignandet, he has the cocky personality and firey temper to play the Bane of Dakota's Juvi Hall, as well as Static's arch nemises.
For Ebon, I saw Brian White(From the Takers, I can Do bad all by myself) He has that forboding i think Ebon needs for the role.
For Madalyn Spalding, the pre madona school mate of Virgils who gains the ablity to manipulate peoples thoughts, and later on trades it for moving metal, I choose Tessa Thompson from Heroes.
For Kangor I choose Michael J. White, like Dana aside from great acting he has the physical capablities to be a super powered kick boxing bang baby.
And for Shiv, the zaney one of Ebons' Meta breed i choose McLovin ^_^

Christian Slater, he has the voice and the caniving down, they may have to age him, but seriously, their voices are identical...if you dont already know
