Superman/Batman: World's Finest 1939
I’m going waaay back on this one. Now I’m going to use a little monkkey dust on this, I’m casting some comic characters that were not created in this time period. This is an Elseworlds type cast, so please if you make a comment before reading the fine print, you’re going to feel a little silly or a lot silly depending on who you are.
Batman was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. Bat-Man first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May of
1939. Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Canadian Joe Shuster. Superman appeared in Action Comics #1 in June
1938.
We all want to see a Superman/Batman movie and I still get goosebumps thinking about the movie poster easter egg in the movie "I Am Legend".
We can hope for one soon but if they wait much longer it will be going on a hundred years since Supes and Bats were created. That's a long time to wait for a movie, but I'll do it.
SUPERMAN-Clark Kent/Randolph Scott
*Scott has everything for Kent and Superman at 6'3"*
BATMAN-Bruce Wayne/Tyrone Power
*Power could have been Wayne for several movies, like Bond*
ROBIN-Richard Grayson/Carl Dean Switzer
*Switzer would have made a very convincing young Robin, same goes for Temple as Batgirl*
BATGIRL-Barbara Gordon/ Shirley Temple
SUPERGIRL-Linda Lee Danvers/Alice Faye
*Faye would have stolen the show with her delicate beauty**
THE JOKER-???/James Cagney
*Cagney was the baddest of the bad back then, This Joker would not have been funny, he would have been like Ledger's version. No one else could have done a crazy psycho Joker*
Lex Luthor/Sidney Greenstreet FLIXMENTALLO
*WOW, Flix, I forgot all about Greenstreet. PERFECT,well done!*
TWO-FACE-Harvey Dent/Bruce Cabot
*Cabot has slick, smooth and intelligent look, he could have done a court room Dent and a psycho Two-Face*
THE PENGUIN-Oswald Cobblepot/Edward G. Robinson
*Robinson would have been an incredible Penguin. His voice and catchphrase would fit Cobblepot perfectly. Never changing this one*
THE RIDDLER-Edward Nigma/William Powell
*Powell has a devious stare and it looks like he's plotting something bad*
CATWOMAN-Selina Kyle/Myrna Loy
*Loy is sleek and sexy, her eyes was all I needed to see to convince me that she is a perfect catwoman*
POISON IVY-Pamela Lillian Isley/Anne Sheridan
*Sheridan has a dangerous sexy look to her, I can't get over how beautiful all these women were when they were at the top of their game*
HARLEY QUINN-Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel/Ginger Rogers
*Rogers is a great comedy actor and very agile like Harley*
MR. MYXZPTLK/Groucho Marx

*Flynn would have brought some class to this character and he has the moustache*
PARASITE-Raymond Maxwell Jensen/Charles Laughton
MAD HATTER-Jervis Tetch/Sam Jaffe
CLAYFACE-Basil Karlo/Boris Karloff
*I don't need to say anything about this one*

Supporting Cast
Commissioner James Gordon/ Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

*Mclaglen looks like he could say "Don't call me chief!" or "Great Caeser's Ghost!" very well*
Lois Lane/Vivien Leigh
*Leigh had a tough and beautiful look*

GREEN LANTERN-Hal Jordan/Henry Fonda

*Had to put Hayes in here somewhere*
Special Guest Star
