Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello have walked the earth since 1984. It is now the year 2084. 15 years before now, Donatello, using his highly functional brain, recreated the radioactive ooze that first spawned the TMNT. Using this ooze, Donatello mutated four other baby turtles. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello each took one of these four turtles as a son. Leonardo named his son Yoshi in honor of his late master’s master. Raphael named his son Casey in honor of his late friend. Michelangelo named his son Beau. Donatello named his son Al, honoring Albert Einstein. Now in the year 2084, the four cousins are raised and have been trained well in the martial art of Ninjitsu. With age, the original turtles have grown apart. Leonardo continues to live in the underground lair where he rigorously trains Yoshi. Raphael and Casey live in the abandoned prison on Ryker’s Island. However, Michelangelo, Donatello, and their sons all live together in an apartment that hovers over the city (a concept that Donatello invented, but is now commonplace as the technology has been discovered by human scientists). The fours brothers are barely past their prime, but now most of the fighting is left to the younger generation. To challenge the cousins’ fighting ability, a new Shredder has risen. The identity of this strange new Shredder is unknown, but he is much more skilled a martial artist than Oroku Saki (this Shedder turns out to be a robot remotely controlled by a paralyzed tech nerd that is obsessed with Oroku Saki, a distant relative). Also, the Foot has regained power in New York City (this being completely unrelated to the mysterious new Shredder). The older turtles’ personalities have also somewhat changed with age. Leonardo is a strict, impatient teacher, which causes Yoshi to be very rebellious and angry. Raphael has become an almost carbon copy of Splinter in both skill and wisdom, which reflects in Casey’s cool nature. However, Michelangelo is still a kid at heart and Donatello is still all logic (I want my Donatello’s personality to rival Spock’s). I want to try to make this story as epic as possible. Huge fights, captivating dialogue, cliffhanger and shocker moments, and push TMNT to its strongest potential. What I don’t want is ridiculous futuristic technology that takes away from the ninja aspect (no “Fast Forward” armor and weapons). True, there will be some strange, new technology (i.e. floating apartments), but it won’t be overplayed or too cliché.
