Matt Damon as Captain America



Matt Damon is probably the only A Lister I can see as Cap. He has the right physique, looks enough like Steve Rogers and can bring in a large audience. He seems like a choice Marvel would go with.

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man



Who else?

Chris Hemsworth as Thor



I've only seen him in Star Trek, but I thought he was pretty good for having such a small part. I'm looking forward to seeing how he will do as Thor.

Jeremy Davies as Hank Pym



Better know as Faraday on Lost. He has the right mixture of nice guy and sleaze bag to play Pym

Gemma Arterton as The Wasp



She's a good actress and provides some nice eye candy.

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye



I love this rumor. He was great in The Hurt Locker and I can definitely see him as Clint.

Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow



Everything we've seen of her looks great so far. Can't wait for Iron Man II.

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury

I really like it man!

You're totally right about Damon, he's the only A-lister I can see as Cap. He's probably in my top 3 or 4 choices for Cap!

Love the Wasp pick, I love me some Gemma!

I do admit Renner would be an awesome Hawkeye, but Chris Pine is still perfect for the role, Renner is a close second.

Damon is really my only choice to play Cap.
every time i see him, he reminds me of a guy from the 1940's.
all they have to do is make him taller.
Damon is like 5'10".
Cap is like 6'4".

Pym is definitley not a sleeze bag in the 616 universe. he's just that dude that liked to slap his wife around.
and then later he got hooked on anti-depressants and had an on again off again relationship with his wife until she died.
not to mention that Tigra was close to being on his booty call list...... while he was married.

Matt Damon would kick ass as Captain America but my first choice is Garrett Hedlund [I already know what some of you will type but he's too tall to be Bucky, he has the look and is the right height to be Cap...not to mention he's a great young actor].

@Wadey09- Captain America is only 6'2" [according to Marvel.com], making Matt Damon look a few inches taller wouldn't be a problem.

@LEEE- "oh god no"... He's a better pick for Captain America than anybody you've every named.
I find it funny that the other night you agreed with TheDurkinKnight in his fancast that Josh Hartnett would be a good pick for Cap, you must be insane. Josh Hartnett may be a great actor and he may have a decent amount of experience playing soldiers but he looks nothing like Steve Rogers and does not fit the role.

Add that to the fact that you think Matt Damon is a bad pick for Cap but think that Lewis and Worthington are perfect for the role...that just shows how warped your mind really is.

damn i have to agree with the people that say Damon would make a good cap, and i know he's old but he can pull of a younger person easily, even if it meant using cg. and i know dmon is gunna say something like i dont like him because he's friends with a supposed communist writer and may have communist beliefs or is a pussy wining liberal, but when it comes down to it, personal beliefs and life mean shit when it comes to movies. its about acting. people see it for acting, most people that go to a movie dont give a rats ass about the actors personal beliefs. i mean look at tom cruise, i love his acting but i dont give a shit about his religious beliefs. and i know ur gunna say that some people look at the real person behind the acting, but all you guys said in the damon star trek article was basically say you were conservatives who rank on liberals. and...... i have nothing against that, but i was just saying.

o and LEE: u really think a guy from Sex and the City (Lewis) and a overrated guy from a cw show is better suited than damon................ lol

and actually, i would rather see an unknown, it would push the hype way too far in a way, plus the budget would be huge.

o and durkin and dmon, dont get me wrong, i believe people shouldn't rank on others like damon did, and that some of (actually most of) his views were how do you say....... different or corrupt, but i like him as an actor. i don't really take into affect his political views when i see him in a movie. and i dont believe he would push his views into the cap movie, cuz he's not calling the shots, marvel is.

Good cast - I especially like your pick for Wasp! I would much prefer Jensen Ackles for Cap obviously but Damon is definitely in my top 5 list of actors I'd like to see play Cap...

Matt Damon is no Cap (though I wouldn't mind having him in that role). He's Daredevil.

How could I never think of Gemma as Wasp, it's just obvious that she'd be perfect for the role. Now Rachel McAdams and Alice Braga, will be number 2 and 3 on my "Wasp List".
