The Fallen

The Fallen

Another idea for a comics series. Original or not, give it a read and give your opinions.

Gabriel is a fallen angel that has made the best of his exile by helping the people of Earth. This angel is not alone as there are other fallen angels walking among us: Azrael (a fallen angel that now serves a darker master), Bartleby (an angel whose sole goal is to overthrow God), Loki (a mischievous angel), Michael (an angel that has transubstantiated and pursues vigilantism, hoping that the criminals he faces will end his life), Serendipity (an angel that chose to leave Heaven so she could enjoy the pleasures of Earth), and Francis (a begrudged angel that blames Gabriel for his exile). Also at work are demons that have taken possession of human bodies: Reaver (a renegade demon that has been in control of millionaire industrialist Douglas McGowan for years), Vesuvious (a demon on a direct mission from Lucifer to persuade Gabriel to join with him), Dante (a demon that hops from body to body, relishing in the torture he imposes on human beings), Zethos (a demon that has become so powerful that he needs no host), Beelzebub (a demon whose host willingly allows his possession), and Arethia (a female demon that both loves and hates Gabriel). Gabriel has human friends: Amy (a beautiful young woman that lives next door to Gabriel’s apartment), Max (the guy that lives across the hall from Gabriel), Ian (a young newspaper delivery boy), and Reverend Patrick (a reverend that serves as Gabriel’s sole contact with those in Heaven). The focus of this series is the constant war between the fallen angels and demons, as well as maintaining a hero story as Gabriel acts as a vigilante.

It seems like you've combined "Gabriel", "The Prophecy", and "Dogma"...but, all decent ideas.

@contrast- The Bartleby idea came from Dogma, and so did Loki's name, but his personality is based on the Norse God.
Haven't seen Gabriel or The Prophecy. Might want to check those out.

@LEEE777- Thanks, as always.

@Axlomix--Yeah, definately check 'em out... Christopher Walken is a sinister Gabriel and Viggo Mortenson (sp?) is a creepy-as-hell Lucifer. And I've gotta agree with Boekelaar, Gabriel IS awesome.

Anyway, like I said, these are all decent ideas. Where a story like this REALLY shines is in its execution, so it very well could move from "decent" to "incredible" depending on how well you write it. If you need any more information to flesh out the characters (angelic lore and such), and you can't find the info on the internet, feel free to ask me, angelology is sort of a hobby of mine.
