Film begins with Bart visiting his dad in prison before they go to his college graduation. Bart says that he knows his dad didn’t kill mum and he’ll get out one day. Bart goes to the party afterwards and tries to chat up a girl then gets into a fight with her boyfriend which he loses. He receives a letter at home with an offer to work for the Police’s forensics department. There is then a scene of a masked, mercenary breaking into a building and killing a wealthy businessman. Investigating the death of the high profile billionaire he meets Iris West a reporter working on the case. That night there is a storm and Bart runs to the lab to check nothing gets damaged, when lightning strikes. Bart is electrocuted and chemicals fly around the room he then gets up unharmed and leaves. He goes to run home and arrives in seconds running at super speed. Meanwhile a similar thing has happened to Sam Scudder which has affected his experimental mirrors and made them wormholes which he uses to rob places. The next day Iris is shot at by the mercenary and Bart saves her from then on he decides to help people and makes a special suit which is concealed in a watch. He tracks down the Sam but he gets away using wormholes to transport himself and The Flash. He is however found by the mercenary who kills him and takes the mirrors. He goes to fight the Flash and they begin a fight in which they travel round the world. Trying to keep up with Evan McCulloch the Flash runs faster and faster until he breaks past the speed of light. This causes him to travel back in time to 2010 where he waits for his younger self to apply for the jobs and ensures that he doesn’t get it so he doesn’t follow the same path. He lives out the rest of his life lying low until Martian Manhunter finds him and asks him to join his team.
