Introducing Luke Cage is "POWER MAN"! This urban super heroe takes place in New York city. Directed by John Singelton, which is rumored to be a passion project of his. My vision for this film would be an upscale action pack ode to the 70's films,U.F.C inspired films but loosely based impression of the comic boooks. It is the year 2000, times are hard, and Lucas Cage is part of notorious street gang, called the bloods! Him adn his best friend Willis Stryker are on the rampage getting into street wars with a rival gang called the Diablos. On one evening Lucas is home with his family when bullets riddle his home! nNo one is badly injured in the home but a little boy outside is hit in the drive-by. Lucas stricken with grief takes heed to the words of his father and decides to walk a straight path! Given a pass by his O.G Sonny Caputo as a favor he owed him from a previous altercation, Lucas was free to change his life around! He seeks to better himself as an adult, finding legitimate employment. Meanwhile, Stryker rises through the ranks of crime, but the two men remain friends. When Stryker's activities anger the Maggia (a.k.a. the Syndicate), he is badly beaten in a mob hit, saved only by Lucas' intervention. When Stryker's girlfriend, Reva Connors, breaks up with him in fear of his violent work, she seeks solace with Lucas. Stryker is convinced that Lucas is responsible for the breakup, so he plants heroin in Lucas' apartment and tips off the police. Lucas is arrested and sent to prison where contact with his family is sparse due to the resentment of his brother James, Jr., who intercepts Lucas' letters to their father James and eventually leads each to believe the other is dead.

Starring Quinton"Rampage"Jackson..As Lucas "Luke" Cage.

Curtis "50cent" Jackson as Willis Stryker/Diamondback.

Both actors are fairly newcomers, but Both Jacksons (not related) have both done descent jobs in their last films! Quinton starring in the actioned packed A-Team, and Curtis in the Urban film "Gun" starring next to Val Kilmer.
In prison, Lucas is consumed by rage over Stryker's betrayal and his father's supposed death, engaging in frequent brawls and escape attempts. Eventually transferred to Seagate Prison off the coast of Georgia, he becomes the favorite target of sadistic guard Albert "Billy Bob" Rackham, whose brutality ultimately leads to a demotion that he blames on Lucas. Later, research scientist Dr. Noah Burstein recruits Lucas as a volunteer for experimental cell regeneration based on a variant of the Super-Soldier process he had previously used to empower Warhawk. Burstein immerses Lucas in an electrical field conducted by an organic chemical compound; when he leaves Lucas unattended, Rackham alters the experiment's controls, hoping to maim or kill Lucas. Lucas' treatment is accelerated past its intended limits, inducing body-wide enhancements that gives him superhuman strength and durability. He uses his new power to escape Seagate and makes his way back to New York, where a chance encounter with criminals inspires him to use his new powers for profit.
Co-Starring Michael Rooker as Billy Bob Rackham.

During Cage's Prison stint, a corrupted U.S military General, and Scienctist organize with the help of prison staff some Hand to Hand combat to the death matches for business and entertainment purposes.
Co-starring Kimbo Slice as Mangler.

Luke returns to his old neighborhood to find out that the criminal underworld is more advance as is He! Rumors of a High Tech La Costa Nostra type family has emerged called the MAGGIA, who have unified the urban street gangs and gave them vast new weaponry to maintain the New York Streets from the likes of some of up and coming heroes rumored about, the "Wall Crawler" from Queens, and the Red Devil" from Hell's Kitchen and Etc. Cage's ex-lover comes up dead, and Cages vowes to find the murder> In this process he stumbles into the "Harlem Mafia" a group of ill repute hustlers who reputations goes all the way back to the Occult called HYDRA! Cage causes "Hell in Harlem" with a street war with the city's finest gangsters!
Co-starring Harlem's own! CRIME MOB BOSS Morgan played by Barry Shabaka Henly.

Piranah Jones as Wood Harris, from the Wire. Henly is from Miami Vice and ALI.

Equiped with Razor sharp teeth, he's a pimp from Harlem.
Tiny Lister as Cornelle Cottonmouth. He's a villain from the Luke Cage, Power Man series. The heroine that ended up framing Luke Cage was stolen from him.

Cornell Cottonmouth had a set of henchmen who at times would test Cage

Black Mariah played by Monique Oscar award winner from Presciuos. She was a drug racketeering 400 lbs. woman who crossed paths with Luke Cage. Cage went toe-to-toe with Mariah, and shutdown her operation. She no doubt got her name from the alias of an ambulance, symbolizing the way she ran her operations

Jenard Burks as Big Ben Donavan from Four Brothers.Big Ben Donovan, though just a human being, managed to floor Luke Cage. Luke Cage still prevailed in the end, but not without recognizing Donovan's strength.

Chris Baur from True Blood as Garbage Man A low level Drug Dealer.

da'vone mcdonald as Brute., from Get him to the Greek, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

After Cage has rattled the MAGGIA cash flow a team of Hitters are dispatched to bring Luke in dead or alive! The team assembled consist of Altered and weaponized killers.
Starring Bob Sapp as Bushmaster Cruz from Elektra.

Michael K Williams as Cockroach Jones. The star from the Wire. After his early experiences as a young boy in Harlem afraid of everything that went bump in the night, Dontrell soon learned to grow comfortable with his surroundings and even developed a sort of fondness for the cockroaches that shared his home. As he got older, he began to live a life of crime, becoming a hitman and enforcer for a man named Piranha Jones.

Amaury Nolasco as Shades, from Max Paine.

Hassan Jonhson from The Wire season one as ComancheComanche was a man Luke Cage met in prison. He was usually seen partnered with Shades. Between the two, Shades & Comanche, Comanche was the muscle.

Shades and Comanche were prisoners in Seagate alongside Carl Lucas. They tried to recruit him to sway all of the black inmates to follow them, but Lucas knew they were just "talkin' jive," and refused to work with them. Comanche pulled a knife to persuade him, and Lucas sucker-punched him, dropping him to the ground with a single blow.

Terry Cruz as Hardcore from the movie Gamer.Hardcore was a mercenary hired under Cruz Bushmaster, and an opponent of Luke Cage's.

Anthony Anderson as Gadget. From Transformers
Gadget is a designer of a variety of advanced weapons for numerous criminals. He is highly intellegent. His first appearance has the intellegent man known as Gadget working for Willis Stryker, A.K.A. Diamondback. Being his closest associate, Gadget was key to making Diamondback a super villain. He made the special knives that Willis attempted to kill Luke Cage with. After Willis's death, Gadget disappears.Gadget later shows up assisting the Bushmaster, an international crime boss. Gadget designs a machine that recreates the process that gave Luke Cage his dense skin and strength. After Bushmaster's defeat, again Gadget disappears. It should be noted that Gadget is the key player in prooving Luke Cage's innocence. Gagdet recorded all of Willis Stryker's criminal activities as future reassurance for any sticky situations Gadget may encounter while working for him. One of the recordings is of Willis planting drugs in Cage's apartment. Misty Knight forcefully convinces Gadget to turn over the footage. After this, Gadget disappears again. It is possible that Gagdet is still operating as a master gagdet designer for villains, and if so he has managed to successfully operate without ever going to jail or incurring the attention of superheroes.

Once Cage begins to zero in he realizes that Morgan's operation is just the tip of the iceberg! Thru an informant Cage get's wind of some chemist, and scientist manufacturing weapons and doing experiments on the local gang members using them as test subjects. After learning of this conspiracy Cage realizes that their is possibly an secret society called HYDRA, and they are backing the New York based MAGGIA who in exchanged are financing the Harlem World Drug Trade. Now all Cage has to due is find out who's the players in the MAGGIA, confront the man they call CHEMISTRO, and blow the top of this Secret Society called HYDRA! to be continued in the collaboration installment of MARVEL TEAM UPS! "POWER-MAN & IRON FIST"!
Supporting cast.
Kerry Washington from Fantasic Four, as Misty Knight!Misty Knight's highly-decorated police officer days on the force jarred to a halt when she lost her right arm to a terrorist's bomb. Tony Stark arranged for her to receive a bionic prosthetic replacement limb in recognition of her bravery. Against taking a desk job for the police, she became a private investigator, with her friend Samurai ( Colleen Wing). As Knightwing Restorations, nicknamed the Daughter of the Dragon, the two often dealt with cases nobody else was willing to resolve.

She fell in love with Luke, and even left the east coast to see Bill in order to divorce him, implying that she was getting serious with Cage. Fantastic FARENHEIT@!

Ya know, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson did a darn
good job with BA in the A-TEAM movie!
But I still like 6'4" Henry Simmons for the
LUKE CAGE role, but dang if RAMPAGE probably
could pull this role off!

The rest of this cast is badazz!

Kerry Washongton is my choice too for the
bionic-armed kick-butt MISTY KNIGHT!

Way to honor black history month with this
very historic (COMICS-WISE) AFRICAN AMERICAN
comic book story!
I've always thought LUKE CAGE should be a
bigger character at MARVEL. His story is
a kick-ass one with all the back stabbing
and heartache drama can possess!
It's quite a street-gritty SHAKESPEAREAN tale!
