Act 1.

To start the movie I think we should have the Odin voice over back ground talk. Talking about the war with Surtur, and how he is Imprisoned in his realm. The eternal flame sent to his vault, and the twilight sword sent to Nidavellirr. At the end of his talk we see him talking to a young balder instead of Thor/Loki. Next is Odin (Loki) talking to Amora, speaking of her training and how she is the most powerful witch. He tells her he has a plan for her. Next we see Thor on earth with Jayne and Co. talking of his father, and Asguard. Next we see Ymir and the Frost TROLLS (not giants) in attacking the dwarf city on Nidavellirr. The Dwarf king is ordering them to hold fast. Next we see Hamdall talking to Odin telling him of the assault on Nidavellirr. Odin says to leave them be. Hamdall calls for Sif to alert Thor. We then see Loki on Muspelheim talking to Surtur. Telling him he will break the barriers holding him there, bring him the eternal flame, and the twilight sword. We see Thor arrive on Asgard talking to Hamdall discussing what has happened. Then we see Amora attack the weapons vault to steel the Eternal flame. Thor rushes to aid, but is defeated by her and Skurge, the port away. Then we see Odin (true Odin) at the feet of Hela, with her smirking at him.

Act 2

Ymir and Amora arrive on Muspelheim. Ymir talks to Surtur, but decides to betray him, using this as a chance to use the twilight sword against him. Surtur is able to defeat him an slay him. Amora then hands him the Eternal Flame and leaves. We see Loki then lift off the Barriers of Muspelheim, allowing Surtur to attack the Cities in the skies. Here we see him and his demons destroying the cities, and a lone ship making it out. Hamdall tells Thor what has happened, and Thor and the Warriors three are sent to the ship. While on board they are attacked by a Cyborg. He is able to hold them at bay, and is able to pick up Thor’s Hammer. Eventually Thor is able to take it from him, and they defeat him. Thor in awe that he was able to hold the Hammer, drives the Ship to Asgard. We then see Amora going to Ulik the Rock troll, telling him of Surtur’s plan, and asks his help. Thor, Beta, Sif, and Odin are in a room together. They are discussing what happened on Skuttlebut (Beta’s ship) and how they must defeat Surtur. At the end they decide to make another Hammer for him. Again we see Odin in Hel, asking Hela to send him back for a price. When tells him there is no escaping. Odin then bargains, asking her to send him back for a time, in return he will come back and never go to Valhalla.

Act 3

We see Thor, Sif, and Beta Ray Bill arrive in Nidavellirr. They talk to the dwarf king, he argues, saying they never have helped him, but Thor persuades him. They create the hammer Storm Breaker for Beta. They then see Balder, grown up. Thor runs to him and says they thought him dead. Balder (shown older than Thor) tells them of how in the battle of Jotenheim he faked his death to get away from battle out of fear. He ran to Nidavellirr to hide as to not fight. We then see Amora and Loki talking, she asks why he allowed them to take Storm breaker, he says because they can’t stop them anyway. We then see Surtur arriving on Asgard. The armies of Asgard preparing for him. The fire demons come, and a great battle starts. Thor and Beta Ray Bill stay focused on Surtur. Odin (Loki) stays back claiming he will guard the citadel. We then see Ulik and his army attack from the back, unseen by almost everyone, he attacks and his army run through the city. Sif and the warriors three meet them in the back of the citadel with a small group of troops and balder. Balder (who has grown in bravery and fighting) takes Ulik on as the others deal with his trolls. Back to Beta Ray Bill and Thor, we see them battling Surtur but unable to hold him at bay. When it appears the whole battle is lost and their army is overwhelmed. Odin (the real one) comes out of the sky. We see him, Beta Ray Bill, and Thor taking on Surtur. Eventually over time we see them defeat Surtur, and Balder defeats Ulik. We then see Loki and Amora in the Throne room. Loki with a smirk as Odin approaches.

Act 4.

Beta Ray Bill, Thor, Balder, Odin and the warriors three tell them to Surender. Just when they are about to attack Odin collapses. Loki explains that they have destroyed the Tree of the Universe’s connection to him, taking his power and transferring it to Loki. They just needed Odin to be present. Skurge comes from behind and attacks them. Thor fights Loki (with the Odin Force) while Amora and Skurge take on the rest. Odin is unable to fight and is weakened on the ground. Thor and Loki fly out of the Throne Room. Eventually over time Beta Ray Bill and Balder slay Skurge. Amora in Panic transports away. Thor and Loki continue to battle, Loki begins losing his power as he is unable to withstand it. Thor eventually puts him into a Chokehold. Strangling him as Loki attempts to fight back. Of course Loki spews out how he believed in him, and how he should have been a brother to him. Eventually we see Loki fall dead. There is then Odin talking with Thor and Balder. He tells them how he must return to Hel, telling them it is the price he paid for saving them. Thor says he doesn’t want the Throne, therefor Balder is made King of Asgard. Beta Ray Bill says he will return to his home world to rebuild his city. Thor then returns to earth. Claiming the nine realms will always be safe.

Positives to this storyline. We see Surtur, Amora, Ulik, Skurge, Ymir and Hela. Balder and Beta Ray Bill are also introduced. Amora survives leading to Masters of Evil opportunities. Loki is killed which will help keep the Nine realms safe.

Negatives. Clustered story. Not enough Thor. Not hardly any Jayne (which some may say is a great thing). Balder doesn’t get a lot of character development to become king. Not enough earth. All of these can be tweaked to help fit it together however.

he started a Korbanite cyborg. @novacorps I have never found out how to do that.

I'm more interested in the Thor and Loki dynamic, especially once Thor finds out about Odin's death. Also, I'm totally against Enchantress and Executioner in the film. No to Beta Ray Bill, no to Hela, no to any type of Masters of Evil build up, especially since Thanos is unquestionably the villain in Avengers 3, no to Ulik. I'm just interested in a very dark (with key Marvel comedy involved somehow cause I feel the humor in the Thor films are fine) war movie with Surtur and the fire demons vs Thor, Lady Sif and the Warriors 3, Heimdall, Balder (his inclusion is nice) and other characters but not too many also a focus on the whole Thor and Loki situation is a must. Finish that story and keep promise to the first Avengers film and have Thanos come after and potentially kill Loki.

I agree with a lot of what you say. There is simply way too many characters being introduced in this movie. I like the inclusion of Balder (who eventually becomes King) and though I like Sultur, as the penultimate Thor movie (besides Avengers 3) I would prefer the story to focus on Ragnarok. I want to see the Midgard Serpent brought to life and more Norse Mythology incorporated. There's also no way Marvel is going to have a virtually non-existent role for Jane and her Earthlings co.
